Do not go here, scam left and right. Got the "nicest" tires money could buy, supposedly last up to 70,000 miles, then come to find out 6 months later that I was driving on them wrong and need new ones after only 8k miles?! How convenient that a tire repair shop makes it so you have to come back and get new tires every 6 months!! Go to a local small town, these big shops don't give a rip about you, they are only after your wallet. read more

I dropped my 16yr old daughters car off the night before so Tuesday morning they could start working on it, a 2010 Subaru Forester. We had given Alex all of our contact information the week before our appointment. Unfortunately, we still hadn't heard back from anyone on Tuesday around 2:30 PM. They didn't have our info and was waiting to explain what was needed. They said the repair would be complex and take several hours to repair. Alex wasn't sure if they would have time to finish the repair in one day. So we authorized it. Around 4:15 PM we received a call saying the car was all fixed and we could pick it up, so we paid by phone $363. Later that night we went to get the car, I started it up to leave and heard an awful rattling in the rear. I look underneath and see this hack job of a repair. We left the car there and dropped the keys back off in the overnight slot. The next morning when they opened I spoke to Zach and explained the issue. He immediately to action and would call me back. 20 min or so later he calls me back to say he removed my heat shield and it's all done. I proceeded to give him my negative opinion of the repair and the cost associated with it. Professionalism is not in this man's vocabulary. I will never go back, I will never refer to Midas in Cedar Falls as long as this man is in charge of it. read more

if I could give this place zero stars I would do not take your car to this place they will scam you over charge out the water for repairs and when you do get your car expect to take it back there constantly without the problem being fully resolved I've taken my car there for over a year thousands of dollars worth of repairs just for it to completely be done for the last time I went there they didn't even fix the problem and had to keep coming back to get wayyyy over charged and the problem not be fixed. honestly this place is full of scammers do not take your car here. My wife came here a couple weeks ago to get an oil change on her Ford Fusion, of course they do their "inspections" as well. She was told she had several leaks, that she would need a valve cover gasket, timing cover gasket, and a rear main seal, for a grand total of just under $3,000. They more or less told her, she would be better off getting a new vehicle. Today, she took it to our regular mechanic, he did his inspection, determined that it only need a valve cover gasket, no other gaskets were necessary and there is no evidence of leakage. He had it done in a couple hours for a grand total of $175!! Not sure if this is common practice at Midas or perhaps they were trying to take advantage of a female? I would steer clear of this place! read more

Went in for an appointment today with my 70 yr old grandmother, and was encountered by zack. Zack handled my grandmother and i very unprofessionally and rudely, due to a error on part of his employee. Instead of being apologetic for the misunderstanding his tone was very condescending, belittling, and disrespectful. i typically get my oil changes done at this location which is why i brought my grandmother here thinking she'd receive the same professionalism and service but unfortuanately we did not. I will never return to this location and i will be calling corporate. Zack is very bad for the midas brand. read more

After the folks at Jiffy Lube let me down, Midas came through! All I thought I needed was an oil change before I left for a road trip. Not only did they squeeze me in right away without an appointment, but they let me know I needed new tires (can't believe I hadn't thought to get those checked) and didn't rush me. I initially decided I would wait, but when I changed my mind and called them about 15 minutes after leaving, they said they would fit me in right away so I wouldn't be set back. They made me feel valued and respected! Really friendly service, and just good energy all around. They were listening to great music in the garage, and everyone working seemed to be happy to be there. Definitely coming back. read more

Worst car service experience. I went in for a simple oil change, just something to get my car through the rest of the semester. The employees were super knowledgeable and informative and asked to replace my air filter since it was overdue for a change. I said sure knowing in the past this is a simple and quick change. Two hours later and I did not receive a new filter. The shop did not have this part on hand, which would have changed my answer if I knew at the time. Their distributor arrived at the time I was finally leaving and the manager says, "come back and I'll replace it for cheap." I do appreciate they gave me a discount since I had waited so long which shows they care about their customers. read more

The manager here at the Midas was so nice, and so are the workers. They took the time to see what was actually wrong with my car instead of just replacing what they thought was wrong. they even worked around my work schedule and lent me a car for the day! Horrible, they try to rip you off literally right in front of your face. They tell you somethings wrong with your vehicle and then not fix the problem so that you have to come back. Then when you come back they fix the wrong side of the vehicle that has the issue. On top of that they'll tell you a bunch of other things that are wrong with your vehicle when in fact they're lying to you. A simple oil change at this place turns into them quoting you $3000 worth of work that you need done. On top of that bull crap when you call them out they blame their technicians and say that they're new sorry about that. Last I checked the guys doing my oil change are getting paid by the hour. Do not go to this place, I've also had it happen where they lied and charged me for a problem they didn't really fix. Went over to an authorized Ford dealership and they told me none of the issues were a problem at all and didn't need to be replaced. Don't trust them. read more
