On January 22nd, 2025 my 2016 engine's rear main seal blew while driving, causing all the oil to leak from the engine. I had the vehicle towed to the Chevy-Graff dealership in Durand, to diagnose the issue. From there I was told the rear main seal had blown, and that the engine motor needed to be replaced. I had already had this occur in January of 2022, and Midas in flint on Miller Rd installed a rebuilt jasper engine that I would use until January of 2025. After hearing the news from the dealership, I called Midas to see if I still had an active warranty. However, when I called the store, no one had any information on my previous work being done. The only way they could confirm the warranty was active was by a serial number on my engine, that the dealership was unable to find. This takes several days and I am left without answers the entire time. I first contacted Midas on 1/31/25. During this process I was told multiple times that since the date of most recent invoice was in January of 2022 and since 3 years had passed I would be responsible for the full price of replacement, and that it had expired. At this point, I am being told I will owe another $7500 at least for the price of parts and labor. At no time did anyone bring this up to a higher authority or attempt at getting any information from them. At this point I'm distraught and can't fathom owing another loan on this car. I was told at this point other than towing my car to midas and having them inspect it, to which I was informed I very well could be on the hook for parts if my warranty had expired and would be charged for labor if it was still active. Their ultimatum left a poor taste in my mouth, and I called the corporate number to see if there was another avenue at gaining information, but was forced to leave a complaint due to having no other options. Later that day, (still 2/5/25) I receive a call from the regional manager. He had the serial number from my engine and informed me the warranty was still active until March of 2025, as I picked up my vehicle from Midas in March of 2022, the last time. All of the previous could have been avoided. Every sleepless night I had, every day inching closer towards destitution. All of that was due to employees not having proper records or communications with leadership. At this point I've also spent countless hours out of my work days to make calls, and try to get information. Things seem get better from this point forward, and I have the vehicle towed to Midas to process the warranty, being promised that this is the better decision for me financially. This would prove to be the biggest mistake I could make, as the problems only got worse from here. They were able to install the engine by 3/8/25($2126) but the vehicle was capped at 25mph and would only work in "LIMP MODE." I was told at this point that the high pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced($261). They "cut me a deal" to let me bring in parts and only pay for the labor, which was nice, but ultimately ineffective. After replacing the high pressure fuel pump, I was notified, again, that my vehicle would not start as intended, but only in "LIMP MODE." This time it was the (low pressure?) fuel pump that needed to be replaced($251). After replacing the second fuel pump however, again, my vehicle was in "LIMP MODE." They replaced the fuel rod, and cleaned the fuel injectors for free, but still couldn't get the vehicle in a safe, working condition. At this time they have me return and get a replacement high pressure fuel pump to swap out with the one they believed to be faulty. Again, this does not fix my vehicle. It's now April 19th. All the while 3 months have passed and I have been forced to put miles on my girlfriends car, daily to get back and forth to work. I"ve spent thousands of dollars on repairs, taken out loans, and have had near daily guranteed weekly conversations with Midas, about how they don't know what's wrong, and how they're doing me favors by not charging labor. I would've gladly paid the labor to have my vehicle fixed the first time. All I wanted was for my car to be in a safe driveable state to get my son to school, and myself to work in the morning. However, I am informed at this point there is nothing else that Midas can do, and that it must be taken to a dealership. "The issue has to be a computer issue, and not mechanical." Is what I was told by Midas. At this point I'm informed if I don't move the vehicle that it will be towed away, so I have the (still undriveable) vehicle towed to Chevy-Graff in Durand($100). They informed me that the issue was in fact mechanical and caused by "Improper installation of the high pressure fiel pump, in which they failed to install fuel pump roller lifter." They correctly install the fuel pump($537) on and the vehicle seems to roar to life when I pick it up on 5/13. There is now a coolant leak, and I've already spent $3800. read more

I have had trouble with my ties for the past few months. I stopped at this location regularly, they where always very kind and helpful. Checking my air pressure and topping off my air. I finally decided I need to get new ties. The staff was very helpful. I dropped my car off in the morning and was called early afternoon to let me know my car was ready to pick up. I appreciate the staffs professional and friendly manner. There was never any high press sales tactics, when I came to get my tires checked. My husband brought in his car with a loud exhaust noise. Told them that he needs the noise fixed. They called us with in the hour and told us that they can fix it for $150.00 but we also need new breaks that they were really bad. We don't know how bad they were but because my husband had to drive 9 hours out of state the next day we didn't want to risk it. So we said yes to the breaks for a total of $950. We pick up the car and the next day my husband left. He called me an hour out and said the noise is back. He was pissed because he would have to drive all that way with a really obnoxious noise. So I call Miller Rd tell them and they say we can go to any location. So I told him to go to the location closest to him. He takes the car in and they pretty much laugh and say they put putty on the part. They looked discussed at the work. They said they didn't even weld it. So for $150 they put putty on it. So the manager at that location said lets go call them and find out whats going on. So they come inside and call Miller rd. on speaker phone. The manager said what's the deal with this car, The manager at miller rd says well the customer didn't look like he could afford the part so we just fixed it. My husband was standing right there and heard it all. He was furious. Who does this guy think he is to decide what my husband can afford. I feel like he was racial profiled because he was black. I have called corporate and I am getting the run around. The customer service manager said he doesn't worry about what other people think of him so it doesn't bother him. This is the customer service Manager!!!!!! He was sooo rude and found this situation not a problem at all. Please give him a call and tell him your thoughts. My car broke down on the expressway and I had it towed to Midas. I stopped by there the next morning, after working 3rd shift, they weren't open yet. I got my garage door opener out of my car. The car was left unlocked with the key left in it. I was charged $1900 to fix the struts and 2 front tires. I had to take out two loans to pay for this. After payment was made, I was called by Mike, the supervisor, and told that after they had fixed the problem they took the car for a test drive and that the tie rod was damaged and the headlight was out and that would be another $540. I told him I just couldn't afford it and I would just come and pick up my car. I got my paperwork and was leaving and found that the door handle on the drivers door was just hanging there! I went back in and told them and Mike came out and looked at it. He look confused and then tried the handle and it completely came out! He then started saying that it was brought in like that. A Lie! He said that the mechanic had wrote it down. Another Lie!!! How odd they mentioned the headlight being out but not the door handle to get in the car!! After giving them $1900 I would think they would have at least had the common courtesy to fix the door handle they broke! I am furious!! Garbage. Made an appointment twice to have a minor repair. Brought it up there in the morning and they "Just couldn't get to it" both times. What's the point of an appointment if you don't honor it? The second time they knew exactly what needed to be done and I brought the part with me. Nothing but lazy attitudes. Over promised and under delivered. Ruined my weekend won't be able to take my kid on his birthday camping trip because these morons are totally unaccountable. If I could give this place a no stars rating, I would. I took my vehicle in for head gasket replacement, rear u-joints and new tires. I received my vehicle back a few days and a few thousand dollars later and my engine was now misfiring and giving me a Service Stabilitrak, Service Traction Control warning - even shut off on me a few times on the way home! Mind you, I didn't have any of these issues prior to the service... to add insult to injury, I looked at my receipt and they charged me almost $500 for a head gasket... A HEAD GASKET!!! Seriously???! Is it not enough that we are in the midst of a global pandemic and money is extremely tight - You have to charge me $500 for a $40 part? When I took my vehicle back to be fixed correctly that following Monday I confronted the manager and he stuttered and backpedaled and basically gave me the run around claiming he doesn't know what was included in the part that he ordered, why their price is 12x's more than AutoZone, PartsGeek, Advanced Auto Parts or any other vehicle parts stores, and that they would not refund me the money I was overcharged even though they advertise price matching, when I had clear evidence that the same part could be found as low as $29!!! I called for an update today because my vehicle is STILL there - 2 weeks later of course!!! And not only do they not have an update as to what's wrong with my vehicle, my truck hasn't moved from the parking space I dropped it off in and the manager stated that he only trusts 1 person to work on my vehicle... what does that say about his faith in the other techs actively working on other vehicles??? If I don't have a refund, my vehicle fixed properly and returned to me in a timely fashion I'm seeking legal counsel, contacting the news stations and reporting to the better business bureau... read more

Took my car to this shop for some work yesterday. Long story short. They ignored what I asked and proceeded to write up a list of s### I didn't need. I understand these little oil change shops gotta make money but trying to sell unnecessary parts is just wrong. I wounder how these guys would feel if someone scammed their loved ones.. if they would even care. Prolly not. They do it to ppl all day and call it their career (ase certified scam artist). I was told many time to come back this day or come back at this time and still didn't get the service done.
