I got a transmission fluid flush on my 2014 Chevy Cruze and I'm very picky on who works on my car. I decided to come here because of the excellent reviews it has recieved. I hope when I move from the Flint area next year I can find a place like this. Starting from places reviewed from Car Talk's Mechanics Files and on Yelp, I called around to ask for an estimate to replace a strut (I suspected it was a ball joint problem, but I was just seeing what places would say). This was one of few places willing to give an estimate at my insistence and the only one that was also a reasonable price. Actually, I thought it was a unrealistically low, which ended up being the only thing I didn't like. I am definitely struck by how respectful they are to customers, I thought it might be only over the phone, but it carried over to in-person both at the front desk and from the mechanics. They make it a point to call you Mr/Ms/Mrs as appropriate and listen to customer's explanations without the talking-down attitude that is typical from auto repair shops. They also very readily offer to give people rides to their homes (mine is 20 minutes away) or just around town. The waiting area is also nice and I plan to upload a picture if it clears out of customers at any point. They seem rather busy but got to my problem in a reasonable time frame. I don't know yet if their recommend repair fixes the noise I've been hearing, and I will update if there's a problem. The noise wouldn't pop up once it was in and around the shop (seems like this always happens when you need something fixed anywhere), but even though they were busy they were willing to drive along with me to try and reproduce it. They found a problem at the ball joint like I suspected, but it was a cheaper repair than I expected because they said the joint was fine and just needed a new boot. This was my first experience with Church and Sons in Davison. My Volvo required routine maintenance. They got me in the next morning and provided shuttle service to and from my home when car was finished. Everyone is friendly and Zeke was polite and patient as we reviewed my service manual for required maintenance. Ray is upbeat and super friendly; it was a pleasure taking the shuttle! I do need to follow up with Zeke though. Some of the required 45k maintenance checks were not listed on my service invoice, and I am unsure if these were done or not. Check engine light was on and although they were able to identify the codes, Zeke recommended I take the car to a Volvo mechanic for correct. read more
