A regular "Joe's Garage". They charged me $40 dollars for a lube, oil and filter. I asked a guy named Jeffery over the telephone a day or two afterward if he lubed the chassis points on my car with a grease gun and he acted like he didn't even know what I was talking about. If you want conventional oil, you have to tell these folks or they will charge you double for this fancy synthetic crap even in an old vehicle. These gougers want "100- 300 dollars" for a simple automatic transmission and filter change. This is a job that should take no longer than one half hour. I bought the parts needed to do this at O'Reilly's to save a bunch. I did this service at home. The parts filter kit for my 1995 Toyota Corolla and ATF costs me under $50. I was a fleet truck mechanic in the Army. I feel sorry for old ladies and handicapped men in town who can't work on their own automobile as I can do. It's a shame as to what these shops are doing price-wise. This town seems full of shady yay-hoos who are literally robbing poor, disabled and elderly fixed-income people who drive cars. I see a lot of churches here in town. Maybe these crooks should stop in on Sunday mornings and pray for forgiveness. Yesterday, I was under my car to service my own transmission. I was appalled at the cowboy work I witnessed done by this dubious cat, Steve Powers at Midas. There was oil dripping off the white NAPA oil filter and oil residue all over my engine oil pan. It scared me. I thought i had an engine oil leak or Midas did not install my filter tight enough. I thought maybe they forgot to put a coat of oil residue over the filter gasket as professional mechanics should have been trained at school. I wiped everything down with a rag in solvent and kept under observation for a day. So, far so good. No oil leaks apparent. Shame on Midas "techs" for not wiping down everything thoroughly to clean up any oil spills on the automobile underbody. Work is not complete unless a mechanic CUBY's. Clean Up Behind Yourself. I urge no one to use this business, and I will be making a report to the better business bureau! Let me start off by saying, my son is a first time car owner, and works 45 hours a week to save for his first apartment and eventually support himself independently, but now his savings are gone. He took his car to this shop because of an over heating issue because it is close to his work. He was told by jimmy a tech that he needed a radiator,thermostat housing, and thermostat paying 100 dollars for the diagnostic. He was told by the same tech that he could buy his own parts and they could put them on for labor costs to help him save money. This was confirmed by my son twice before he spent his hard earned money on these parts. I accompanied him on dec 12 2022 to drop his car off. We had the parts in the car. Upon arrival the owner Steven powers was assisting us in checking the car in, we informed him the parts were located in the back seat. Mr. Powers said they don't do that, in which I and my son told him what his tech Jimmy told my son. Mr powers spoke with Jimmy at which time he confirmed what was told to my son about purchasing the parts. Mr Powers stated that the policy was not such. I asked since my son had already spent his again hard earned money on something that at this point was unusable because his employee gave him the wrong information how was he going to remedy the situation. Mr powers said it would be handled and I took him at his word and to call back at 10am the following day to check if the car was ready. Upon calling at around 1030 I was informed that not only was the cost still 800 plus dollars, but now they had found that the water pump was defective, and it would be 1400 more dollars if I wanted to get that replaced. I asked why was I not told this when the second diagnostic was performed on the 12th or even when they had replaced the already approved work and repressurized the system. The response from Jimmy was " well you usually find one leak after you fix another one". Upon arrival at the shop we paid for the authorized work which was 824 dollars and left. read more

Let me start out by saying the environment of this shop is great. From the techs to the service advisors very good in customer service. Besides that the owner of the shop Steve Powers is not very good in managing the shop. He's never there to make sure books are done. He's never there to make sure payroll is done or on time. Employees constantly not getting paid on time. It's not fair to the employees. Also he doesn't pay his employees the hours they work for a pay period especially overtime. I filled out an application for Service Manager back in January. I never got the title nor the pay that me and Steven Powers discuss. Also not to mentioned I got furloughed for speaking the truth and my mind. In this photo here I'm telling you this is false job advertising. If you do fill out this application I wish you good luck. Greatest oil change experience ever. I frantically arrived with only an hour to spare and desperately needing an oil change. The guys at the front were so quick and efficient and the guys in the back took my car back right away. Apparently they didn't have the filter they needed for my car in stock but they got it delivered in the time I was waiting. I waited 45 mins and my car was ready to drive off. The guys were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Above all, they understood I had an appt in an hour and were able to make the oil change a reality that fast. I recently purchased dual exhausts, a 40 series Flow Master, and a K and N cold air intake for my truck. Total was around $900. Mangager told me they opened at 8 a.m. I arrived the next morning at 7:50.They took my truck in and I sat to wait the esitmated 3 hours I was told it would take. About an hour and a half later the manager comes to me and tells me the intake wasn't made for my year of vehicle. (I was told the day prior it was good to go) I told him fine, just cancel that and I'll continue with the dual exhausts. 4 hours later, i approach the manage and ask why my truck is still sitting on the lift. The response was he had to pull the mechanic off to do oil changes. (One guy certified to weld steel). HMMMMM. 30 dollar oil changes or 500 dollar exhaust???? Finally the truck is done. I ask about the refund for the intake. The manager says he cant reverse the charge because he doesnt have the authority. Long story short, I had to return 4 days later because once I called and asked why the money wasn't in my account,the owner replied that I had to bring the card in for the reversal. (I wasn't told this 4 days prior from the Manager). Never go here for anything. They do not care about their customers, no matter how much you are spending. I can't even give them one star honestly. After my elderly mother taking her vehicle in for the serpentine belt to get replaced the very next morning it fell off. They said it was not their responsibility and would not offer a solution except we should have it towed back to them. My brother ended up trying to get the belt on and it was actually the wrong size. He purchased a new belt that was the correct size and it only cost $33. There were also screws missing from a bracket that helps hold the belt in place. They charged my mother almost $300 and didn't fix her car at all. read more

Just walked in the place, ready to pay 39.99 for oil change and tire rotation. But staff, Austin suggested to use my smart phone to find a coupon on their website and show him the coupon code. I only paid 26.99, which is cheaper compare to other competitors. I also had my brakes done, which has lifetime guarantee because I've used Midas before to fix my brakes so I only have to pay for labor pretty much. Trevor and Austin were very friendly and worked hard to accommodate me. I think good customer service is a great asset to have to attract and retain consumers. A family member took my SUV in for oil change and tire rotation, upon inspection the mechanic found the front passenger strut that needed to be changed, and a leak on the differential,was quoted about $1,000 with parts and labor. Coming from overseas I needed my suv to be ready so I agreed. Picked up the suv from my family member a few days later after arriving to OK, and left on a long drive to El Paso, about 9 hrs. 4 hrs in and the steering wheel started to shake and the wheels started to make a rumbling noise. Thinking it was the uhaul trailer I was hauling, I stopped to verify. To my surprise, it wasn't the trailer but the actual tires. Every single one of the lug nuts were loose, so the tires were really loose, 2 of the lug nuts were also missing. Seems like they were just put there by hand but not torqued. Just imagined if I would've kept driving, probably won't be typing this review. Then going back to what they were supposed to actually change, both front struts were changed, rotated tires, and changed the oil, but didn't actually fix the differential leak. So yeah, if you want to take it for an oil change, this might be your place, for anything else, good luck. read more

The a.c. in my car died so we decided to bring it to the Midas on Ft Sill Blvd because we've had a few oil changes there and the customer service seemed good. They charged me $200 for a diagnostic service even though their advertised price is $125. It took them 4 hours total to compete. They quoted the full repair as being $1,350 for a new compressor and a new relay. I asked for a printout of the quote so I could think about it because that's a lot of money. When I brought it home my husband noticed that they'd added another "supposedly" $125 a.c. diagnostic to the quote, which seemed very fishy to us, so we decided to get a second opinion. I took my car to the dealership in OKC to get a diagnostic from them. Their diagnostic only took 45 minutes, and not only did they say that my compressor is fine besides needing a new clutch and coil, but my relay had been broken by the mechanic at Midas when he tried to remove it (they even put that in their report)! Their quote for the repairs was obviously hundreds less than what Midas quoted me. It's outrageous that not only did Midas try to sell me on services and parts that I didn't need, but they tried to charge me to fix a part on my car that they broke! Needless to say that not only will I never be bringing my car back to them, but I will be warning people against bringing their vehicles to them in the future. read more

I've been having my cars serviced (oil changes, tires rotated, ETC.) here for almost five years.... Every time me or my wife go In there we feel like we're being treated like family and not just another service ticket. The staff is always friendly and always try to find us ways to make our visit cheaper by informing us of coupons that are available online and they're willing to find any wiggle room possible in prices. I had my 2004 chevy Malibu classic serviced there on the 30 of December and then on the 2nd of January my oil pressure light kept coming on and I noticed large puddles of oil under my car. I went into the store on the 3rd and I approached Austin (the guy who works at the front desk) and I explained to him what was going on. He was very concerned and very apologetic. He took my car into a bay himself and opened the hood and found the issue in less then five minuets. After he found the issue he brought me into the shop and explained the issue to me and explained to me that they had made a mistake and the new oil filter housing cover, gasket and the oil change that he had to give me to replace the oil filter was on them. I appreciated the honesty from the Midas team there and I've always appreciated the customer service myself and my wife receive at this location and will definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs their vehicles taken care of and will continue to use this location for the rest of the time I'm in Lawton. read more

We were traveling through Lawton, pulling our rv, when the rear brakes went out on our truck. Came here because it was the closest brake place. They lacked one part, and it was a Saturday. Called everywhere, no luck. Had to order the part, wouldn't be in until Monday! Steve let us park inside the alleyway of his storage facility in the back of his shop. He let us hook up to their electricity and water. Austin and Trevor were also very nice and helpful. My husband needed a ride to get an adapter for the electricity, no problem! Another employee used his truck to move our trailer around back. We were stranded, literally, and they went above and beyond helpful! You can't go wrong doing business here! read more

Routine oil change turned into a 3 hour affair. Manager is a nice guy but this place is by no means cheap.

I will never suggest that anyone to take your vehicle here, even for an oil change. I have had past problems with this shop and better judgement aside I decided to have my truck taken in for an oil change and tire rotation (because they are a decent price) to only end up with more issues. One of the mechanics pushed in my keyhole on the driver side and the owner refuses to fix it. All in all your money would be more wisely spent taking your car to a shop where the owner and mechanics respect your vehicle. I had been trying to get my brakes repaired for months due to a low pedal and no stopping ability. I had taken the vehicle to 3 local dealerships that failed miserably at diagnosing the problem. It was like a mystery that could not be solved. After picking up the vehicle from the third dealer, who gave the vehicle back with almost no brakes, we took the vehicle to Midas on Fort Sill Blvd in Lawton Oklahoma on Christmas Eve 2016. We were greeted by the business owner, Steve Powers. Steve tested the brakes and verified they were in a dangerous state. He told my wife an I to bring it in as soon as possible. Steve and his crew were able to do what 3 dealerships couldn't do after a combined 2 months of having it in their shops. He had our problem diagnosed and squared away in no time. Steve seemed to genuinely care about our problem. Steve kept us informed and assured us he was going to solve the problem. This store is honest and forthright when it comes to Customer Care. These are world class brake and maintenance technicians. We will never use a dealership for brake service again. Thanks Midas for making our repair quick and enjoyable. I took my wife's car in to get a noise that it was making looked at. We both thought it was the struts so we asked them to look at them. They told us it was something different and that it would cost $260 to fix. They did the job and it worked, or so we thought. 3 weeks later and the noise started happening again. So my wife took it back in about a month later after they did the job to ask them to about it. She had to come back when the owner was in so he could look at it. After going back and forth for what seemed like forever she finally took it back in and asked for someone else to look at it. We left it over night and they drove it around and heard nothing. So we went and picked it up and heard the noise right away, so we recorded it. We took it back and showed the manager what we recorded and he went on a drive with us. He told us he thought it was the struts. He made us sway the car back and forth to show us why he thought that and we said to him we told them that's what we thought it was and what we originally took it in for. He then told us that it would cost over $800 to fix and I told him what about the part you put in my car that doesn't need to be in there. He said I would have to talk to Steve the owner. He said he would tell Steve to call me. It's been 3 weeks and he still hasn't called. I've called multiple times and he's not there every time I call. They give me some excuse every time. So they finally gave me his cell phone number and of course he doesn't pick up. This is extremely frustrating. They put a part in my car that didn't need to be in there and I paid them to do it. Now they will not get back to me about it. All I want is for them to fix their mistake. It has been the worst experience I've ever had with an auto shop. Never go here.
