I have came here for wheel alignments and balancing of the wheels every time I've come they have been super helpful and I have never had a problem especially since they have switched to a much better manager and they always help out when they can even when you don't have a appointment! I had an oil leak which they were going to fix on a Monday, after 8 days my vehicle was ready. When I got an oil change elsewhere 2 months later they were trying to have me pay them for the leak to which I responded um I already had all of this work done for nearly 3k and showed paperwork. They said I'm sorry to inform you that your leak did not get fixed. So I contacted midas which is now under new management. He told me they had several complaints about Nathan the old manager so on and so on. They didn't fix the leak either saying yea you do definitely have a leak but I can't confirm if it's our fault. So basically, I spent 3k for nothing only for the problem to still linger, however now even worse. Sorry, but I'm never going here again. I just want an honest mechanic for once! One star because Nathan did check in with me or would call me right back when I asked what was taking so long! read more

My wife broke down near this shop and pulled in to have them work on it. They diagnosed it as needing an alternator. Total cost they quoted to my wife was over $1,600. I called the next day to get a breakdown but the work had already been done. Basically, they were charging $791 for the alternator, around $640 for the labor, $107 for the diagnosis, $43 for the oil change and tax. First and foremost, I've never been to an auto repair shop that charges for the diagnosis if they do the work. After that, I asked for the part number for the alternator since it seemed way overpriced. They said they got it from Advance Auto Parts. When I looked it up, it was $351. They have a corporate account so their price is even less than that. I confronted them on the discrepancy and was told that they have "overhead" to cover. I understand maybe a little markup but a $440 markup from my price? I was told that they would bring my complaint to the district manager and he would call me back. Instead, they called me back and told me the district manager was willing to refund $150. I took the refund but that is not even close to enough. The way I see it is that I estimate the shop got the part at no more than $250 meaning they made about $541 on the part. Additionally, they are charging $145/hour labor and paying someone no more than $30/hour meaning they made another $494 on labor. Add in the $107 diagnosis and it comes out to $1,142 for doing nothing more than ordering a part and creating the bill. Subtract my $150 and they are still making $992. Again, I understand that they need to make a profit to stay in business, but really??? read more

Flat out untrained technicians winging jobs & Scammers in Management level! 1. Incorrectly diagnosed brake issues and tried selling me $800.00 in unnecessary repairs (confirmed the next day at Firestone Tire) 2. Corporate never returned two of my messages in regards to complaints (left on voicemail). 3. Manger was "very rude", even encouraged me to call and complain to his boss and that he would back him up! Wow 4. It took two hours for an oil change "with an appointment prescheduled a week in advance". 5. Two elderly Gentleman siting next to me were complaining to each other about how they were upset that the manager was lying to them about untrue repairs needed as the work they recommended was just repaired on his truck a week ago. (He told him to pull his truck out and that he was leaving. (He also complained he had been there for nearly two hours) STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

Buyer beware!!! I had an appointment to get my front brakes fixed, but when I got there I had to wait over an hour just for them to LOOK at the car, then they were to call me at a nearby restaurant for the estimate, which ended up being 430 bucks. AFTER I came back to pay the bill, then and only then they told me my ball joint and arm assembly needed replaced, as well as the struts, as they were leaking hydrolic fluid. If I had known that, I would have bought a different car instead. Additionally, they charged me 94 dollars per pad for ceramic pads, which I didn't order. This is for a four cylinder Ford Focus. I'm not running the Datona 500 or anything. Why do I need ceramic pads? The answer is I don't. They just used every single opportunity to rob the consumer. This was my 3rd time bringing my SUV in to them for the same problem and I paid them over $3,000 ( for more stuff). To fix my power steering and my reckon Pinion. The second time I picked it up at closing time. Drove 10 minuets away and almost crashed because I couldn't turn. Third time I was out of town and it was going out as I was driving on the expressway in Chicago. read more

My car was having an issue where the window wouldn't roll up. I called and explained what was happening, and asked how much it would likely be to fix, and they told me around $100. After I dropped it off, they called the next day and gave me a total of almost $500. When I went in to pick up the car, I expressed disappointment in the price difference, and the worker snapped at me and said that the $100 was for the diagnostics only. I explained that on the phone I had not asked about the diagnostic, I had asked how much it would cost to fix my window. Another worker came over and snapped at me as well. Very poor customer service and dishonest pricing. Will not go there again. read more
