Up until yesterday before bringing my car into Midas ONLY for the safety test it was running smooth and I was aware of a weak battery which I planned to have it replaced with my buddy the mechanic. As I was waiting Midas for my car they told me that I had to change the battery and go on about the alternator. I told I'm here for a safety test and was not looking to do anything else. They keep pushing a sales on me and I kept telling them no. There was a lady that came in before me looking to get an oil change and they kept pushing her to get synthetic oil, which cost twice as much and unnecessary. She just wanted to get the regular oil change. I felt bad and kind of wanted to say something, but didn't want to make a scene. So I get my car back after refusing on several occasions to their displeasure. The moment I drove out on the way to my buddy the mechanics shop, about 10-15 mins my car starts acting erratic. All the warning lights comes on at once. My car starts shaking while it's going into gear. Eventually I would not even go pass 10km/h, this was all happening during rush hour on a busy street, it was pretty scary. I had pull my car into a parking lot and then it just completely died. I can't start it. I called Midas back and they pretty much were like " well I told you so and don't blame it on us" kind of attitude. I told them that I've been driving this car for some time and the moment I bring it to your location my car died. It just seem very suspicious since they were so aggressive about me fixing things with them. My car is currently at my friends shop and I'm not sure exactly how much it's going to cost me to fix it now. I had to pay to get it tolled. My car is a 2012 mdx, with only 113000km on it. Relative low km. Been driving smooth and no issue other then regular wear and tear, minor things. I'm just sharing my honest experiences about these guys. I basically do not trust them and I'd never go to another Midas again! It seems like they have this very aggressive, untrustworthy sales approach there, beware if you choose to go to this location, it becomes very costly! Ps I'd give them zero stars, but that's not an option so I have to bite my tongue and give them one fake star.

It was a very unpleasant experience and I will never go back again. The auto shop does not take appointment for tire change and is on a first come first serve basis, so I walked in like all other people. When I said I was there for winter tire change, the person (I later found out his name was Joe) at the front desk said "So does the rest of Richmond Hill". He later said the wait would be 2 hrs and I said I would wait. When it was time to pay, I asked if there was a discount if I paid cash. His snarky response: "I should be charging you more for fitting you in". You did not have to fit me in. I could go elsewhere, on a different day. Both comments were uncalled for and very rude. I noticed that his attitude towards others (men) in the shop was different.

I…read moreresearched different types of batteries on Consumer Reports and identified a recommended brand that is carried by Walmart. With enough research, especially in today's digital age, I could have installed the battery myself but I decided to give Mr Lube my business since they could get it done faster. This particular Mr Lube is attached to Walmart. The garage doors are located right behind the Garden Center. You drive out back and enter through a door, which leads you to a sectioned-off portion of the work area and a door to the service counter. For battery installations, you first have to choose and purchase a battery from Walmart, then bring it back to the service counter. It's unfortunate that you can't purchase the battery at the service counter, since it's a long walk to the checkout counters and car batteries are heavy! After a nice arm workout, I came back to the service counter and was told that car battery installation takes 10-15 minutes and costs $40 plus tax. I walked around for 20 minutes, came back, and was told by the tech that he dropped a nut inside the car, so it would take another 10 minutes. I come back and he hadn't retrieved the missing nut, so he told me he wouldn't charge for the installation. My car was ready to go within an hour after drop off. I would have been fine with an hour wait since other places like Canadian Tire make you wait several hours. But it goes to show you how amazing the customer obsession is here. Of the four different car maintenance shops that I have used in the GTA, Mr Lube is at the top of my list in terms of price, convenience, and customer service. They could have left the nut rattle around the car, but the tech was very diligent and honest, which I value highly especially for auto maintenance shops. For regular maintenance, I wouldn't mind coming back to this particular Mr Lube location.

I was in dire need of repair to my car because my ignition coil went out and the mechanic that I usually go to service my car was not able to get me in on that day due to other appointments. So I began looking on the internet for nearby shops but ALL were all booked up solid. I then found this place and read a couple of Google reviews and they were all positive so I decided to give them a call and see if they could squeeze me in. The Asian gentleman I spoke to right off the bat was very nice and accommodating taking the time to explain how long it would take to fix my issue and the total cost upfront not like previous calls I had made to other auto shops where some were quick, rude, and gave me bs responses like " oh I don't know exactly how much it will cost yet but i will tell you once I take a look at the issue" even after me telling them exactly what the issue was! The gentleman continued on to say that he had a couple of cars to work on but could work on my car if I could swing by within the hr. So off I went to the shop immediately and when I got there I was able to meet the gentleman whom I had spoken to over the phone and he immediately greeted me with a smile and had me fill out my contact information and took my keys. He told me I could sit and wait in the waiting room or go somewhere else and he would call me when the car would be ready. I opted to wait in their waiting room where they had a big tv with an android box for you to watch stuff and a charger to charge your phone so that you can do your phone stuff without worrying about your phone dying while waiting which was way cool! Their big couches were pretty comfy as well. Oh yeah, they have a washroom for you to use freely when nature calls. When my car was ready, the total cost was exactly the same as when he quoted me over the phone during my initial contact which was very comforting, no surprises! Just to let you know, the total price was the cheapest out of some of the auto shops that I called around earlier. I also had the opportunity to speak with the mechanic who worked on my car whose name was Michael ( super cool, chill , and knowledgable guy). He took the time to further explain in depth what he had done and offered some recommendations as well. He even took me in the back and showed me where the problem was etc which I appreciated. Overall, I had an absolute great experience at this auto shop and I will definitely come back for future things needed done to my car. If you are looking for a great and honest auto shop, look no further, this place is it! I was in desperate need of an oil change, plus I was short on time. This meant that I needed a shop…read morethat could get the job done quickly, and as soon as possible. After a quick search, Oil Changers appeared to be the shop of choice in the area. The actual experience lived up to past reviews. No appointment was required to quickly stop by and get an oil change. While I was there they squeegeed my windshield, refilled my windshield wiper fluid, filled my tired, and of course, refilled the engine oil with standard engine oil. The guys in the shop were refreshingly welcoming, and offered to have a look at a small issue with my hood prop. Though they couldn't fix it without spending some undue time, I appreciated the extra concern. I paid around $50 (tax included) for the oil change and other things. I figure you can get this done for cheaper elsewhere, but being short on time, I appreciated getting in and out without a hassle.

I was referred to Ramson by my mechanic whom I have been with for 10 years now - I only trust his recommendations with my vehicles. Ramson gave me a quote, followed up with me and took really good care of my car. Even though they are an body shop, they even decided to detail my car! It was definitely a thoughtful gesture and it made me feel happy because they had such great customer care service. Not only that, Arun called me to let me know my car was ready. Being a teacher, he offered to drop off my car to my home if I was too busy. I mean, what auto body shop does this for their customers? I am hoping that I never have to see this guy again, 'cause you know, that'll mean I've gotten into another car accident. I highly recommend Arun and his colleagues as they did a fantastic job in repairing my car AND detailing it when they did not have to do that. The staff was accomdating and went above and beyond what I had expected. They were professional and courteous. The job was completed earlier than expected. Upon picking up my vehicle, not only were the repairs compelted with great quality but they took it upon themselves to detail my car and remove stubborn salt stains.
