I went to this location yesterday to get ONLY a safety test to get a sticker from the ministry of transportation. I usually would go to my friend which is a mechanic, but I was crunched on time and had to get it done at the nearest location I could find at the time, which happened to be Midas. Up until yesterday before bringing my car into Midas ONLY for the safety test it was running smooth and I was aware of a weak battery which I planned to have it replaced with my buddy the mechanic. As I was waiting Midas for my car they told me that I had to change the battery and go on about the alternator. I told I'm here for a safety test and was not looking to do anything else. They keep pushing a sales on me and I kept telling them no. There was a lady that came in before me looking to get an oil change and they kept pushing her to get synthetic oil, which cost twice as much and unnecessary. She just wanted to get the regular oil change. I felt bad and kind of wanted to say something, but didn't want to make a scene. So I get my car back after refusing on several occasions to their displeasure. The moment I drove out on the way to my buddy the mechanics shop, about 10-15 mins my car starts acting erratic. All the warning lights comes on at once. My car starts shaking while it's going into gear. Eventually I would not even go pass 10km/h, this was all happening during rush hour on a busy street, it was pretty scary. I had pull my car into a parking lot and then it just completely died. I can't start it. I called Midas back and they pretty much were like " well I told you so and don't blame it on us" kind of attitude. I told them that I've been driving this car for some time and the moment I bring it to your location my car died. It just seem very suspicious since they were so aggressive about me fixing things with them. My car is currently at my friends shop and I'm not sure exactly how much it's going to cost me to fix it now. I had to pay to get it tolled. My car is a 2012 mdx, with only 113000km on it. Relative low km. Been driving smooth and no issue other then regular wear and tear, minor things. I'm just sharing my honest experiences about these guys. I basically do not trust them and I'd never go to another Midas again! It seems like they have this very aggressive, untrustworthy sales approach there, beware if you choose to go to this location, it becomes very costly! I know I'm king of the 4-star reviews lately, but I guess I've been easy to please. :) I came to this Midas last year for an oil change and while I did have to return to get the oil cap tightened, the service was great. It was so good, that even though I had to come back that first time, I gave them another chance. Second visit was also great. The gentleman helping me at the counter, Mike, was extremely friendly and not intimidating like some people can seem at auto repair places. After my oil change (I was in and out in about 45 mins with no appointment) he explained to me everything that was found during the inspection and there was no pressure to do any extra work or repairs. There's nothing I hate more than going in for a simple oil change and then having to sit down for 'the talk' afterwards where you find out your car 'needs' tons of work. While I waited, two other guys that were waiting for their cars were chatting and both were raving about this Midas location to each other...I almost thought they were planted in there to talk the place up while people waited! First time coming here, as I usually go to my mechanic who's actually my uncle. My Car is an 07 Nissan Versa, and it been making loud noises when I drive, but my uncle is on vacation and I'm usually hesitant to go to auto shops in fear that they might over charge me. On this occasion I knew I couldn't afford to wait for my uncle to come back because my car was REALLY really loud when I would drive. Found Midas in Woodbridge on Yelp and saw they had good reviews, and thought I'd give them a shot. Mike and Carlos were really helpful and honest. They even offer you free coffee :) They showed me exactly what the issue was with my Nissan , and didn't try to oversell me on anything. My catalytic converter was almost rusted off, but they offered to weld it for me for a fair price as opposed to replacing the whole thing for crazy $$$. Very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable staff. I'm new to the area but have made them my mechanics. Carlos who works at the front seems to be a cool and down to earth guy, always in a good happy mood. Mike the manager is informative and fair, I was quoted an amount that when I paid was actually less, he didn't fix what didn't need to be fixed. The shop waiting area is clean and they offer coffee, but if you like east on Hwy 7 on Woodstream Blvd is a Tim Hortons. Through my observation the staff here appears to be happy. The wait time has been fair depending on the service required and day of the week. I personally recommend them, or at least give them a try and see if what I've said is true. If you ever have to borrow a car when yours is being serviced, ask for Carlos red Lamborghini, he will be more then happy to lend it to you... obviously I'm just kidding. read more

I think it was the worst experience I ever had with a car shop in my life. I came for a routine oil change and also asked to check my brakes. I was told to pickup my car at 4 pm (they were open until 4pm). When I arrived at 4pm I saw the mechanic taking my car for service! 40 min later my car was ready. They didn't check my breaks like I asked them to but I just let it go. When I was driving home I noticed my car was making weird clucking noice and then it stopped and I couldn't turn it on! Eventually I was able to turn it on and drive to my place. Next day I called them and brought my car back. They promised to fix it, but never did. The car stayed at the shop for a week and during that time they kept giving me different information every time I called. Eventually my vehicle was taken into a different shop and fixed (I paid quite a bit of money). I would NEVER trust them with my vehicle again, and would never recommend this location to anyone! read more

Recently visited this Midas location as a "walk-in" to have my oil changed in my Volkswagen Jetta and I was very happy with the customer service I received! I will definitely continue to bring my vehicle to Mike and the team for maintenance. As a young female, I didn't feel that I was being taken advantage of - and Mike was even kind enough to explain things to me as well! I truly appreciated their friendly "family" approach. Like a previous reviewer stated, they don't seem to "up-sell" you on unnecessary repairs. I went in for an oil change, received just that, and they didn't mention the need for any extras! read more

Yet again, I was so very pleased with the service I received at this wonderful shop. Both Mike and Carlos were as friendly as ever, and they make a customer feel very comfortable, offering coffee and making absolutely sure that everyone receives perfect service.I I began my connection with them a few years ago when I had an emergency in the dead of winter with one of my car windows. Just returning from a hospital appointment, I noticed the business and drove right in. Needless to say, they fixed the window and advised me of how poorly it had been repaired from a past experience. These are the best guys to take your car to. Very friendly, professional and honest. Mike and Tina are absolutely amazing. Fourth time coming here. Took me in as a walkin and also saved me $400 compared to what the dealership was charging for a brake job. Cause it took a little longer than I thought and I had to pick up my wife from work, Mike offered me his car to pick her up and both he and Tina insisted on it after my refusal. Took my car to this location for a oil change and the tech by the name of Anil over torqued the my oil plug causing a crack in the oil pan. Took the my car back a few days later and told Mike the Manager that my car is leaking oil and to please have a look at it. Mike told his tech Anil to look at it. Midas tech Anil said the oil pan plug seal was reused and he will change it. I ask Anil if he change the seal when I did my oil change and he said NO. Took the car home now and the oil leak was worst. Call Mike on Friday October 06 2017 to ask if I could bring my car in for them to take a look at it. Mike just brush me off saying they will not be able to look at it till next week. The next day I took the my car to a Mazda dealership to see if they could find the problem and fix it for me. The dealership show me where the crack was on the oil pan and took pictures for me. Now I have to fix this problem that was caused by Midas Woodbridge and there tech Anil. Midas Woodbridge should take responsible for what they did and pay for it to get fix by the Mazda dealership I took it to. read more

There was a screw that punctured the tread on one of my tires. After reading the reviews on this Midas, I can agree that this place is definitely one of the best in auto repair. They were polite, professional and descriptive in explaining what they had to do to fix the puncture. Unlike the other places I've been to, they do not try to make you pay for extra services.
