I joined mainly for the hot tub, which has been closed with no solution for much of that time. While here, I was recruited by multiple staff to work here. When I applied, simply to help with pool closures and not because I needed a job, I never heard back. I didn't really use my membership over the summer, and returned to find a hot tub that was still closed and a basketball court that is half closed, with a very slow timeline for repair. Also, the basketball court area has no air flow and is dangerous for use. Have had issues with staff and their lack of communication the whole time. When I raised my concerns and cited my reasons for canceling my membership, their coo sent an email before having his first cup of coffee in the morning, or so it seemed, showing zero effort to resolve issues. I wish them the best and hope they find experienced and skilled staff that can lead them in the right direction. I won't be back and don't recommend it, but you can check it out. Value wise, it is significantly more expensive than other options in the area, especially with so many of their amenities out of commission. It is probably also worth mentioning that I sponsored their March Madness Pizza Party and Mini Golf/Ice Cream field trip.

One of the wonderful things since the former BNAS was decommissioned by the Navy is that much of the infrastructure is now available to the residents of Brunswick, where I now live. This includes places like this. While not fancy or particularly high-tech as fitness facilities go, there is a gym for basketball, a small fitness room with treadmills, free weights, and other cardio equipment. There are also a host of classes ranging from yoga, pilates, barre classes, etc. I've done some of their beginner's yoga classes and they're great! What I like about the Landing as the days get colder and I'm not going to get out on my bike or run outside, is that I can drop by (it's 3 miles from my house) and find a treadmill available in the morning or early afternoon. After spending the morning looking at a computer screen, I'm due for a dose of endorphins. Oh, and the staff here are just amazingly friendly and welcoming. After a recent experience with another fitness facility on the other side of town that made me feel like I was imposing on their little clique of insiders, this is refreshing and how I want to have my doses of fitness administered--with a smile and a friendly greeting. Is that so hard to do?

I get them out of the car in the morning and they literally run to the door with excitement for the day. They love their teachers and come home daily excited to tell me about all the fun they have had. They get to take classes right at the center such as swim, dance and karate. They love doing it and I don't have to drive all over town to get them there. The center always has fun special events for the kids around holidays and such and they do a monthly "community event" so that the parents can meet and get to know the teachers, children and other parents. We have had an incredible experience here and we won't bring our children anywhere else!
