All three times, something intervened to save me from what I thought was the worst dental experience you could ever have any time. Then....it happened. I was in the chair with Dr.Abby Gaughan who had just examined my tooth, and I could no longer have a different outcome. It was root canal time, and it was just my luck that she could do it right then! I was caught off guard for sure. I wanted to run out and say, Later but why worry about it and stress. All that extra anxiety? No way. So I stayed and prepared for hell in my mouth! Well I cannot tell you how totally different my experience was from what I thought and what others had told me. The doctor was funny, smart and explained the process to ease my concerns. She said it would not hurt, but who would believe that. Her assisting tech was a blast, with a great sense of humor. I can't believe I was in the chair....the Dental chair, mouth jacked open, and laughing with these super professional and super funny ladies. I was not in pain. Outside of the injection at the beginning, I felt nothing. When it was over, I still was not in pain. Two weeks later, yup, no pain. I could not believe it. I know it sounds crazy, but it was not horrible. I was not in pain and for sure, I was not traumatized by having a root canal. Please, if you find yourself in need of the scary sounding term.....root canal, do yourself a kind favor and see Dr. Abby Gaughan. The office is currently Covid prepared, safe and staff are very kind. They all are warm, share a smile and want you to have a very positive experience. No one loves going to the dental office. But it's a good health practice so don't put it off. Those oral issues just get worse with the passing of time. Please tell them Claire sent you and you'll be in for a party! Trust me. Had the root canal only to find out second dentist doesn't do the cap after the root canal is completed. So you have to go back to the first dentist!! Is there no dentist that does all the work? My previous dental office did all the work in one office. What is up we these dentists? Not happy with this office will not return. Also charges a fee for using a credit card for payment. Never had that before either. BEWARE don't go here.

There is no need to fear the dentist anymore!! My cleaning was relaxed and the hygienist was friendly without being overly talkative. She gave me great information about caring for my teeth (telling me to brush less, and massage my gums more). But the real test came when I took my 3 year old there for her first dental visit. She was smiling the whole time. Again the hygienist was phenomenal, keeping my daughter entertained and happy the whole time.

He tells it like it is--even when it's hard to hear--and I respect that deeply. Though I've only known him a short time, it feels like I've known him forever. Update: They did…read moretake my insurance after all but are so completely incompetent that they can't figure out how to bill it correctly. I have called my insurance directly and confirmed that they were in network and got instructions for what Middtown needed to do. I called Middtown and relayed this information. They had a lot of attitude of course because they don't want to deal with me. I think the issue is finally settled. Today I get the same bill in the mail. So they still don't know what they are doing. I have been dealing with this business since last year! I cannot give enough warnings! Only go here if you want to sign up for a nightmare billing office.
