I have been a long time customer. I have NO issue with the Dr.s. I called to make my anual appointment and the person that answered was RUDE,and said I had NOT been there in over 3 years , also NO appointments were available until NEXT year in March of 2026. I find that front desk staff are very rude. Dr. Monica is wonderful, no complaints about her. Just the front desk staff. I guess I will be trying other places to get into. Kathy M read more

Keeping to the facts. Over the period of a year, I was given 5 different sets of lenses. Optical centers were wrong, curvature was wrong, prescription was wrong. I ended up paying $600 for a new pair of lenses for my sunglasses because they threw away the original lenses and a really nice pair of glasses that give me headaches and I can't see with. At one point the doctor asked me "What do you want me to do?" and also said "this is the last pair of free lenses we are giving him". I have never had such a horrible experience with a health care professional. They made the struggle to get my prescription right my fault and offered no solutions, but were happy to keep my money. In fact they up-charged me in the middle of that process for the more expensive lens material. read more

I woke up with a weird bump on my eye which I suspected to be a sty, but is probably a cold sore because of course it would happen to me. It came about because I wasn't sleeping enough for weeks and my body was probably feeling both stressed out and susceptible to infection so my eye this time around took on this burden. It was unsightly and did not go away for a number of days, and because of its proximity to my eye, I couldn't risk permanent vision damage and whatnot. At first I went to Parton Health Center on Middlebury College campus to get it checked out, and the nurse was worried and wanted a nurse practitioner to check it out. I came back the next day and the nurse practitioner wanted me to see a doctor that same day. I went in to see the nurse practitioner at 9:45 AM and got an appointment for here for 2PM of the same day! When I walked into Middlebury Eye Associates, I was greeted cheerfully by the receptionist and was checked in promptly. The waiting area is a cute room with a lovely rug, and it feels like I'm in somebody's home because of course, like many other local businesses in town, this optometry office is an old house in the town of Middlebury converted and repurposed into an optometry clinic! The upstairs portion is who knows what. Maybe more offices, maybe someone's living quarters, I don't know. Well, here I am getting my eye checked out, and my suspicions were right! The doctor said it looks like a cold sore under the microscope. Dr. Monica Wolosinski was my optometrist for the day and she, as well as the other ladies working here, is very sweet and attentive, and cares about her patients. I had to pay $60 to get my eye checked out to see that it was mostly fine and now my left pupil is dilated and sensitive to light, as well as useless for seeing things up close, but it was a great experience, and I'd come back here if I had any more pressing eye issues. read more

I was very disappointed in how they handled the insurance. I have a vision insurance plan that completely covers a comprehensive eye exam. At the end of the exam, I asked a question which the doctor answered in about 2 minutes (answer was: wipe your eyelids before bed) and they then deemed it "a medical issue" and would not code the exam such that it was covered by my insurance and now I am responsible for paying for it. That definitely discourages people from asking questions, doesn't it? read more

The doctors here seem to be nice enough but the last time I was seen they seemed to be using equipment that was antiquated and old fashioned compared to places I have been. The selection of glasses for young business professionals seems to be minimal and the styles outdated. Again, the doctors are pleasant to work with but the selection of frames and the general feel of the office including the equipment seems dated. This office is probably your best bet if you don't want to travel to Burlington. I also think they try to up you to lenses you don't need. I was prescribed progressives but after getting a second opinion not from one but two doctors elsewhere they think that the progressive lenses are not needed and single vision was more than adequate. Actually my vision is considered a "struggling 20/20" as one doctor put it because I could read the bottom line but with much strain to the eyes. read more

The doctors do seem nice but they love to do extra tests without telling you about how much they are going to cost. The support staff tends to be very rude at times. They fit right in with todays business model not really caring about the customer as long as they make tons of money off them. They don't really care if you return or not as long as they get your bucks. read more

I have never been so impressed at a doctors office as I was here. From the time I walked in till I left it was as if I was visiting family. Miranda, Jess, Ed, and Dr. Brendon were very professional and made you feel very comfortable and at ease. I was looking for an eye doctor I liked and wanted to continue seeing. Well I found one! There is no need to go anywhere else. read more
