The hospital is well staffed, with nurses and doctors commuting, from London and Chatham. A good library if you are in for a stay. A real kitchen, very good for hospital food, but terrible coffee. They work closely with Strathroy H and the London hospitals if you need extensive help. Friendly service and care, except for one young prima donna nurse practitioner. Free parking. As Michelin says, worth a side trip.

They…read moreare ok with operations but finding the problems or doing ANYTHING on a weekend seems impossible. They don't communicate with each other or anyone else so any progress towards any solution is very slow unless it is elementary. They seem friendly but forget tasks if you ask for more than one thing. Specialist are illusionists as they like to disappear whenever you need them and still claim they were there while you were. In short, go to another hospital unless you know your problem and can be fixed before the next weekend.

After all that time and waiting they sent him home saying there was nothing they could do that he couldn't do himself at home. Ended up taking him to Petrolia and it was like night and day. The staff are so helpful, they sent him to do proper tests and all together wanted him to feel out of pain. Gave us answers that are our own Hospital couldn't nor wouldnt take the time to give, And it would have still gone unnoticed until today. Truly grateful for the staff and how amazing they treat their patients and their families.

My mom recently came here from Windsor to have hip replacement surgery with Dr. Turnbull, and I have nothing but praise for this hospital and the staff here. Everything was beyond my expectations. I had arrived at the hospital about an hour into her surgery, and we were in the waiting room, where they had a TV set up, with a username set up for my mom and a timeline of where she was, and how long it was going to be, which I thought was excellent. Her surgery was at 8:00am, and I had arrived around 10:30am. I think we waited about another hour before we were able to see her. During the duration of her stay, the staff were polite, attentive, and so very helpful and informative, making her feel welcome, and reassured that she will be getting better, and that they would help her with what she needed. Day of surgery, post op, she was bed ridden and needed a lot of help. Within the second day, she was up and walking a bit, and with the help of all the nurses and staff, they always gave her positive support and always came on in time with her meds that she needed. There is also a very busy Tim Hortons located in the hospital. During the week, the high school students from the high school across the streets, come across to this Tim Hortons and it takes a bit longer to wait for a coffee. That is my only thing that I didn't prefer, but you can always leave and go to another Tim Hortons in the city, there are quite a few. Parking, of course is expensive, but so is any other hospital. You can get a week pass for $40, and that's what we did, because during our stay, my mom would fall asleep often, so that left us nothing to do, so having that pass was great, going in and out when we pleased. The parking lot was never really that full, even on a weekday, the weekend you have more options for parking. In conclusion, this hospital and their staff are amazing, less of a wait for a procedure, staff were caring and patient, the student nurses were phenomenal, and ready to learn whatever they needed. Coming from the outside perspective as family, we were also treated with respect, and given the knowledge we needed to help my mom through her healing. This was a wonderful experience and I'm sure my mom would come back here for any other procedure.

Some of the doctors were very rude to the patients especially the one I had last week due to his rush to see other patients..
