I was trying to understand the scope of their services: if they printed on surfaces that weren't just canvases, board perhaps? some type of foam core? did they do anything in sizes 4"x4", 5"x7", etc. did they provide any reduced prices for a dozen or so prints. The person I dealt with talked down to me in a very harsh tone, almost yelling at me. I told her this and said I was just trying to get info to see if we could work together. I was not trying to stump her or be problematic. then she said she would give my info to the manager which I thanked her for. The manager never called. all in all, a terrible experience. And I walked away with very little info.

Great place to work with! We are building a new combined…read morecycle plant out here and my safety committee decided they wanted to do something for Breast Cancer Month (October for those of you who live under a rock) Of course they decided this 2 weeks before the start of Oct. If you have ever worked for a large company you know it is not easy to just go an order a large amount of anything without getting 5-10 peoples approval....and so I begin the process. The materials manager was trying to call local places to see if they would work with us, most didn't call back or have a receptionist I guess who even bothered calling back. Printworx called back and spoke with our Materials manager and sent him an email almost immediately. He then fwd the email to me and we responded and worked up some pricing. She (Crysten, the owner) was great to work with, super easy and a great personality. I sent her a mock up of what we wanted and told her we were on a time crunch. She looked up multiple shirts in the hot pink color and sent me prices within a few hours. Luckily for us the shirts we wanted were on sale!! I know this all sounds simple but this was a two weeks process since the people on site (our companies and corporate) had to approve all this. Thankfully Crysten was understanding and worked with us. She got the shirts done within about 10 days. We ordered about 320, she emailed me and let me know when I could pick them up and they ended up being done earlier then expected. WHOOHOO! The shirts looked great, they were boxed and ready to go by the time I arrived, the staff loaded them into my truck and Crysten came out to meet me. She is very personable as is her staff. The guys all loved the shirts, they came out looked phenominal. I get a little nervous working with print companies for the first time, many times they can mess up the print and it can look cheap. Ours did not look cheap at all... She never charged us a screen set up fee, most likely because all the proceeds from the shirts on site were going to Breast Cancer, and it's a woman owned business so she was on board. We are looking forward to working with her a lot more in our two years here.

I had never needed to purchase a mass amount of color copies before but was shocked at how expensive it was. Something like 50 cents a sheet...crazy. Anyway, when I found myself in a similar situation recently I decided to explore the local options for printing and copy services and lucked into stumbling across VIP Printing. Bob runs this operation out of the Highlands and was able to get me my 100 color copies SUPER quick. Seriously, I called him right around 11 am and he had my copies delivered to my door right around noon! Oh yeah, did I mention he delivers for free?! He's conveniently got a price list as a PDF on his website so you can see all the options and costs. If you check it out, you - like myself - might be happy to find that color copies are 39 cents a sheet. Score! Plus, the more you order, the more economical the price becomes.

I needed business cards for my side work in editing and they provided something that was just marvelous. I love the paper, the typeface, and the graphic on the finished product. I also enjoyed the process. Nick worked with me to come up with a design, font, and colors. Then he kept in contact with me throughout the process. We made some edits and changes and it honestly came out better than I expected. I would say, "exactly what I wanted," but it was much more than I wanted them to be. I am very happy. These guys carve their own molds! They custom make invitations! I saw one of the posters they did for Louisville Brewfest last year - I think it was five runs through the press (which means 5 different colors).
