For the most part, our experience with Midgard storage was fine. The price was decent, we were given a gate code with extended access so we could bring things in even when the office was closed. The hallways are well lit, they offer plenty of carts to assist with moving in and out and there is lots of space available for wrapping, packing and sorting items while at the unit. The only thing keeping this review from being higher is their silly policy of giving them a months notice before moving out. We told Midgard up front when we planned on moving out but failed to re notify them a month prior. As a result, we have a storage unit sitting empty for the next month that we had to pay for. read more

Unless you are going to go in personally and pay your bill every month, AND GET A RECEIPT!!, DON'T go here (the Lutz, FL facility). this place is so ill-equipped to handle any administrative activity, you will pull every hair out of your head before you get your account reconciled. I offered them proof of payment with bank statements, emails, phone calls, personal visits to the facility, and they were STILL incapable of understanding and processing payments made to the account. Ultimately, after months of correspondence, and finally contacting the executives of the parent company, it was determined that.....guess what,.....I was right. (But not before my credit rating was affected.) Find another storage facility unless you want to be bald. read more

Horrible company! They advertise the unit i'm in for $289.00 and I pay a total of $460.00 due to one rent increase right after another. The fact that they keep advertising it for $289.00 goes to show they are committing out right fraud. Then if your move out date falls 1 day past the 30 days they require they force you to pay for another month and literally extort the money by turning you over to collections and ruining your credit score... NOTHING BUT MONEY GRUBBING FRAUDS and they make every effort to block negative reviews online... read more

Please do not use this storage facility. We used Midgard for storage services from March-November. During that time period the service was good. Even though we discovered that the locks they provided don't even secure your unit, we told them about it and they gave us a special piece that made it possible to actually secure our things. In Nov. we no longer needed the storage unit, we collected our things, told them we were leaving, and collected our lock. After this we got charged monthly as if we were still using the unit. We've called multiple times to get our money back and to cancel the service to no avail. Now we've paid for a storage unit for 8 months that we haven't used. They even renewed our lease there. My fiance has gone in multiple times to sign release forms and there's still no resolution. One of the times that we called they even told us someone's things were in there. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They are scammers. Please heed the warnings on this place. read more

I rented a 10" x 30" storage unit; 5 months later I was advised that my stuff was being moved for re-construction and was literally told my stuff would be moved back after re-construction. They moved my stuff into 2 smaller units, piling all the boxes to the ceiling in 1 unit and stuffing the unit to the door so I am unable to access anything. They will not pay for the move to a larger unit even if I pay for the unit and no discount for the trouble. They state that they no longer have any 10" x 30" units. I am going to have to pay movers out of my pocket to move my stuff again. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Use UHAUL here!! The guy runnin the ship in the office was handling 5 reservations/customers at once and didn't skip a beat. He knew exactly what he was doing, with keys, contracts reserving vehicles, etc. many Uhaul stand alone locations are not this way. Good job, Midgard! Cannot recommend this storage business. WAS a long term customer (18yrs) and had to leave, things went downhill very rapidly when Midgard took control. First they removed all garbage cans, and when asked about it they replied cause you people steal them. Ya right. Then they seem to continually raise the storage rates. Three times just this year! This is after the rent being raise right after they took over. The security gates have not been maintained and have problems. Customer service is low to say the least, the standard answer is "that's the policy". They have no care in customer retention at all very disappointed with this operation. Since )ct of 2020 they have over doubled their prices!!! I also have a U-haul storage unit since 2019 and they have not raised their prices Midgard is rude to work with and ridiculous pricing claiming they are increasing servies! what services would you have to increase?? I have been a loyal patron of this establishment since long before Midgard took it over. The former owner provided top notch facilities and fantastic customer service at a very fair price. Since Midgard took over a little over two years ago they have raised my rent five times (nearly a 50% increase). In addition Midgard has terrible customer service and does a very poor job of maintaining the facility. read more

These people are a joke. I have used u-haul for years and have never been charged a cleaning fee..why? Because I clean them out very well after I use them. These people charged me $25 for a 'cleaning fee' when asked, why.. they said "debris" lol. I have a video of the uhual and these people refuse to give me my money back. I'll be reporting to the BBB. I understand the 30 advance notice policy, however there are times for professional judgement as well. We had the storage unit for a family member who passed away. We notified them 10 days into the current month but were still forced to pay for the entire next month! How does someone plan in advance for a family member's death? No one can see the future. Shame on them for taking advantage of this situation. I won't use them again. read more

I would give zero stars if i could! renting a Uhaul from them proved to be dangerous! We had to pick up our Uhaul after hours and the truck they assigned us did NOT have windshield wipers plus the AC did not work properly! As we were tired when we picked it up at 7pm, we did not notice that this truck had missing windshield wipers. It wasn't raining so why not assume that the truck is equipped with them, right? Same with the a/c. it happened to be a cooler night in Florida so wasn't noticeable. Well we loaded up that night and embarked on our out of state move very early the next morning. It wasn't until we reached Georgia that it became obvious that the ac was faulty! ughhh, talk about making the drive miserable! We hit a rainstorm in NC only to find that the truck was missing windshield wipers! Is that even legal?! Very dangerous driving conditions! We called Uhaul and they totally brushed us off and told us to call Midgard. The place where we dropped off the Uhaul inNC was flabbergasted that we were given this truck but said they couldn't do anything about it! Called Midgard but they never bothered to return our calls or address the problem! so bottom line- if you value safety and comfort do not rent a uhaul there!!! read more

Terrible customer service. Not at all like the previous owners. Apparently, when the company switched over, they lost all of the credit card information of their current customers. My mother had a storage unit (with me as co-customer). When she passed away 2 months ago, my sister (who lives in NC, took over the storage unit until she could return to pick up the items she chose to keep. My sister gave them her credit card info which they somehow lost or never received from the previous owners. I received a text message regarding my mom's account being past due. I went in that same day to explain the circumstances. The person at the desk said he thought it would be alright for my sister to take care of the account when she returned the following week, but he apparently made no notes of it. 4 days later, I received a phone call saying we would be charged late fees (although it was due just that day) if the account wasn't settled. I explained that their loss of the correct information wasn't our fault, and we should not be charged a late fee, nor should our account be considered delinquent. Today, when we stopped by to put a few items in for my sister to pick up this week, we were locked out of the account. Staff said, "sorry" the account is past due (by less than a week). Given the circumstances, and the fact that the payment issues were their issues, and that we were responsive each time we were contacted, and we were told it could wait until this week when my sister returns, it seems very unprofessional, not to mention unkind, to take this approach. By the way, our mother died, but there was no "I'm sorry for your loss." Customer no service. No one should be treated this way by a local business. read more
