Avoid this place. Emptied units on Dec 5th so we call to cancel and expect to have to pay the rest of the month. Instead, you have to give a 30 day notice and only can cancel on the 1st. So, although the units are empty, we are being charged $600 to have them till the end of January.. read more

Just rented a unit with this company. I did everything online, which was quick and easy. Went in today and talked to staff, and they were friendly and helpful. Nice to have a business treat you that way. Only thing I say for an improvement, is to make more explicit that the lock they place is only a temporary one and you must supply your own. Of course they may have done that and I may have missed it in the communication they sent. :) read more

Avoid doing business with this U-Haul location. The site is supposed to have a virtual assistant, but it doesn't work and makes no sense. Upon arrival, there was no staff on-site to assist me. Despite having already paid for and processed the rental, the keys for the truck were missing. The property manager promised to come and resolve the issue but never showed up. It took over an hour to finally get the truck, wasting my time and causing significant delays. I strongly recommend finding another location or company for your rental needs. read more

This company is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. About 2-3 years ago during early Covid my father fell ill and needed to move out of his residence so I went with the closest option which proved to be a mistake. To begin with they've never been helpful or insightful with any step of the way only eager to make a dollar off someone else. The most recent issues however stem from my father's recent and sudden passing. Despite paying for the month of October and being completely moved out by the end of the month they demanded that I pay for another month because 'that's policy' whereas most other places prorate for early departure, also they offered condolences by stating it's worse for other people who move out at the beginning of the month stating they essentially have to pay 2 months for a unit they no longer need. I took myself off autopay because I felt a company like this would be all to happy to accidentally leave it for months and feared retaliation. Come November 29 I go in to pay, nobody answering phones, unable to pay over the phone because I'm "no longer renting there". I go in and ask the clerk who says I don't owe them anything and states someone else has been renting the unit. I ask if my account has been sent to collections despite the FACT I'm renting the unit and dude says no and that I don't owe anything. I thought maybe this company grew a heart, turns out it didn't. So today it is December 1st and I get a call from collections saying I owe them money plus an extra $50 'late fee' despite my efforts to try to pay them. They claim they charge in advance to which I asked why I didn't get charged when I was on autopay since I was in there a month ago, no adequate response. TLDR: This company is heartless, they are cheats and they don't have your best interest in minds. They are vindictive cowards that I wouldn't trust as far as I could spit a rat and I hope my message gets to people before they get taken for a ride like I have. 0/10 would rate lower if I could read more

I made a reservation for a 10x5 unit had a price and reservation email in hand when I arrived spoke to the person behind the counter saying I had a reservation then he said he had no units available and started with the up-sell, I just walked out. Two hours later I was called by a person with the of name Ty 321-666-6842, on the phone she said they did have a unit in that size and since I was near by I went back to look at the unit and decided to take it only if the price matched my reservation price, she said she deleted my reservation, she then tried to look up that reservation I thought but she was actually starting the application for a higher price, this is when I realized she was trying to rip me off, I walked out she was rather insulting and became rude and disrespectful I rented a unit elsewhere for a lower price and a free month. read more

We've been using this place pretty much since it opened. Had problems with somebody in the front office that was a female that went by the name of Ty. Called the supervisor at a different site to complain, and she addressed our concerns immediately. I walked into the storage unit last month to pay my bill and Ty was still employed there, but was cooly professional. Today I walked in to pay my bill for June and was greeted by three smiling, friendly faces, which shocked me. One of them happened to be the supervisor Donna that I had spoken to before. I'm happy to let everyone know that TY IS GONE!. it was a very warm, welcoming atmosphere very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend Midgard Storage.Thank you Donna for helping me in the past with my issues with Ty and thank you for getting rid of her. We have been happy with your facility, but not with your previous front desk staff.Also the genuine happy greeting from all 3 front desk employees made me smile. This storage place is run by a bunch of crooks and crazy people! My elderly mother rented a trailer online and paid for it in full. My boyfriend had a confirmation number and went to pick up the trailer. He called the office 3 times and no one answered so he proceeded to hook up the trailer and left. We do a lot of Uhaul rentals and most are remoteness and keyless at this point as all the reservation details are done online and each location runs differently. My mother gets a visit from a police officer saying there is a report of a stolen trailer- the women who worked there (who wasn't around at the time of pickup) called the police ! Two armed police officers showed up at the door. She seemed to take delight in creating unnecessary drama - we had to go back and she proceeded to scream profanity and say a bunch of nasty things. She called him a F idiot - she knew we had paid for the trailer and full and it was her fault she wasn't there to give instructions and it was a simple misunderstanding. Talk about the worst customer service ever- how would you like to have some random Uhaul rental lady call the police when she could have just called, texted or emailed the client ? Weirdo! We felt she was harassing us to the point of her being unhinged. She was a real piece of work- bright blue hair, weird piercings- she was unnerved and edgy as if she was on something. They ended up charging an extra $75 cleaning fee because one of the blankets was not folded (apparently??) we never requested blankets. Total scam artists beware! Nasty nasty sad people it's a scummy place full of negative energy on the edge of a swamp. Stay clear! Plenty of other great places to rent uhaul. I had an issue with a move out notice, that I forgot to send in, as I wasn't informed that we had a rent increase until we called about a $3.00 charge for insurance that we did not have. We were told at that time that our new payment would be the new rate, a $30.00 increase per month. (20%) We told them at that time we would be moving out due to the increase. Although we were required to have a 30 day notice, which we didn't give, I thought that the rate increase would negate a notice. I will continue to contact Midgard Self Storage daily to reach a conclusion agreeable to myself. Never store with these people, as they have the customer no customer service skills. Hopefully they have dealt with the rodent problem, which we discovered when we moved out. Unfortunate situation. I wonder how they can say that they have records of sending emails to us, but we have no record of ever receiving them. I only gave 1 star, as I couldn't give less. read more

This company is a rip off. Over charging, then not allowing you to end your contract when you check out; instead charging you another month and half worth of rent even though you vacated the storage lot. Customer service is horrible and I have never been treated worse than I have by this company their facility manager Brandon Frandsen. I hope everyone that reads this finds another storage company that is not just out for money. read more

This place is terrible it looked nice The looks were deceiving I keep a storage unit for my mother and for my personal items I'm only in town 1 to 2 times a year and it's usually just for a few days so it's not easy for me to change storage companies They raised the price from $73-$124 in less than a year their excuse was supply and demand because of the virus I'm back in town for a week I checked prices and found out that the unit I was paying $124 for was only $89 same company same size and when I called he had nothing but lame excuses for the price difference and with an irritated voice told me if I wanted a cheaper price I would have to book it online give them a 30 day written notice in person and change into another unit even though it's the same size He also told me if I don't give them a written notice that they would send me to collections for none payment Bottom line they want $124 and my time and energy moving to another unit to give me a discount the next month or $124 for me to leave They use deceptive practices save your time and money they will rip you off read more
