Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. This particular Piggly Wiggly is on the corner of Bell Street and Montgomery Highway. There is plenty of parking, though the parking lot could you use a touch up. Not that it was laden with potholes, however it definitely is a bit worse for wear. This was a good place to stock up on a few essentials on this business trip. Mainly it was to grab some water to drink in my hotel room. I had no issues and I was in and out in a relatively quick amount of time. All in all, I would definitely recommend this particular Piggly Wiggly. Walleye will say that my favorite supermarket in the Southeast is still publix, this particular Piggly Wiggly was not a bad stop. I will give it four stars.

I'd just had a chiropractor appointment with the fabulous Dr. Garrett Hall and didn't want to have to cook after having lots of parts put back into place. I was sore. I headed to the deli area because their prepared foods behind the deli counter always look appetizing. I'd read good things about their fried chicken so today seemed like the right time to try it out. The man behind the counter was great - food personality and excellent customer service. I ordered 4 battered wings. (They also have naked wings.) He told me if I order 5 it comes with 2 sides included. Sign me up! They had several options available; mashed potatoes, greens (I'd guess turnip), Mac & cheese, corn and maybe 1-2 other items that I can't remember. I asked about the Mac & cheese. It's made with Gouda. I ordered that and some whole kernel corn, which was a beautiful bright yellow color and looked fresh. He offered up a dinner roll so I took him up on it. I went home and heated my food up in the microwave on low power. I grabbed my hot sauce because I never eat fried chicken without hot sauce. Well, this chicken didn't need it and the hot sauce actually took away from the flavor. I don't remember that ever happening before! The fried chicken wings were excellent! They were so meaty! Take a look at them the next time you're in Publix. You'll see what I mean. I devour half of them before I remembered to take a photo. I was hungry and that chicken looked too good! But I digress... Remember that I microwaved these wings. The batter was still crunchy! I don't know how but they were. I had a 10 minute ride home and put the groceries away first. And I picked up dairy and frozen food after I got the chicken. It had probably been a solid 30 minutes that it had been out from under the heat lamps. Most chicken breading would start getting soggy. No this chicken. It has a subtle black pepper flavor but is almost a tiny bit sweet. Not sugary sweet. Just a hint though. I will 100% get more fried chicken there! I wish the sides were as impressive as the chicken but they weren't. I didn't care for the flavor of the Gouda Mac & cheese at all. The corn was gorgeous but it had an almost overwhelming metallic-type taste. I took 2 small bites of each and they went into the trash. The roll feels very soft. I'm saving it for tomorrow because I filled up on 5 very meaty and delicious chicken wings.

It seems like the Walmart Neighborhood Marts have transitioned from moving into old grocery stores into building brand new locations. Which leads them to have brand new, brightly lit, nice looking grocery. But apparently it leads them to configure this unlike any other grocery I have been to. Besides the building itself, the biggest difference between this location and others I have been to was the produce. They had an abundance of beautiful fruits and veggies. I was shocked at how good everything looked. With Winn-Dixie now closed across the street and Publix still being on the pricey end, it looks like this is my family's new go-to when in Dothan.

I had her meds transferred to another pharmacy and Ashley stated "Well damn, I'm glad to see her leave" and the other workers started laughing. This pharmacy is very ill-bred towards customers, even giving out the wrong meds to us on several occasion. These people mix peoples medications up that could cause deaths and laugh about it. They do not care whatsoever! I was given the wrong thyroid medication multiple times and the label wasn't properly attached this last time. I do have proof. These people knowingly gave Walgreens, when they called to transfer my mother's perscription, another person's medication and information. At what point is enough enough? They are unprofessional, and have every intent to cause harm through negligence. You can verify this with Walgreens. Christina, from Walgreens, called me trying to get my information because the neighborhood pharmacy kept giving her someone elses. They need to be investigated for giving people the wrong medication. They are playing russian roulette with peoples' lives. When I told them that I was going to file a complaint because of how nasty they are, the walmart worker Don nonchalantly stated "Go right ahead. that's your right". You could hear people laughing in the background after he said it too. They feel they can talk to people however they please but can't handle it when they get it back.

When I was texted that my prints were ready I went to the counter. Some woman sitting there playing on her phone asked another employee, an older man who was already busy, about "prints to to pick up." He had to finish what he was doing and fetch them for me. While this was going on another customer walked to her to ask for something. Again she told him to wait, sending him to the man who was busy with me, and went back to playing on her phone apps. $15 an hour ppl want to sit on a stool and blow customers off. Also, like every other Walmart I've been to, I have to fish thru banged up cat food cans to find non dented ones.

We went to another place to have car checked, and they informed us that Walmart didn't do an oil change, yet they charged me for an oil change.
