I purchased a vehicle from Midland Ford Lincoln a few months ago, and while I'm satisfied with the car itself, the sales and customer service experience was absolutely unacceptable. This dealership demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and customer care from start to finish. The Sales Experience: We were pressured to make quick decisions due to the vehicle's "popularity," yet experienced constant delays on the dealership's end; waiting for cleaning, scratch repairs, and a sensor replacement (delayed further because the wrong part was ordered). When it came time for us to finalize the purchase, suddenly the urgency was all on us. We were told there would be no room for price negotiation because the dealership had to cover the sensor repair out of pocket, despite our sales representative initially assuring us he would work with us on pricing. Lack of Transparency: The finance process was particularly frustrating. I had multiple conversations with the finance team about our budget and rates, but during the final signing I was blindsided with optional insurance products that were never previously disclosed. The excuse? "There was no great way to show you this information without you being here." This is simply untrue in today's digital world. Information could have easily been shared via email or phone in advance, rather than putting me in a high-pressure situation at the signing table. No Vehicle Orientation: To top it off, we received absolutely no vehicle walkthrough or feature orientation. We were simply handed the keys and left to figure everything out ourselves, a final insult after an already disappointing experience. The Worst Part...Complete Communication Failure: What truly sets this experience apart is the dealership's total failure to respond to my concerns. Days after the purchase, I emailed a formal complaint through their website contact form. A week later, I submitted the same information through a customer survey. Two weeks after that, I responded to a follow-up survey specifically stating I had received no response to my complaint. A full month later, I finally received a text from someone wanting to follow up, asking me to message back if I still wanted to discuss the issues. I have now texted back twice with no response. This company has zero communication skills and lacks any real customer focus. The pattern is clear: they're only interested in closing the sale, not in building relationships or addressing concerns. "This is how it's always done" was the response to my concerns during the purchase; apparently ignoring customer complaints afterward is also "how it's always done." I cannot and will not recommend Midland Ford Lincoln to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere, where customer service and accountability actually matter. read more

Very disappointed with the customer service. The price I agreed upon with the salesman Derrick was increased by 3,000$ without me knowing when it came time to chatting with finance. No where in my breakdown does it justify why. It appears the dealer didn't want to give me the 3,000$ extra for my used truck so the price was just increased by 3,000$ to make up for it. I love my ford raptor but you're better off buying from a different, more trustworthy dealer. I can't trust these guys. read more

They were made aware that I planned to have the vehicle in my business's name. In fact, I paid with a Company Check. "Oh, it's not problem, you can switch the vehicle into your company name, but for this transaction you'll need to put it into your name". Ok?.. So, as it turns out, sure, I can switch the vehicle into the company name, but it will cost the price of Sales Tax again. Great experience! First off we were driving to the area from Chicago, secondly we don't own a ford product but there was no Land Rover dealership anywhere in the area. Our diesel injection fluid light came on so we stopped in as we wanted to go to the most reputable place we could find for our Range Rover. They took care of us even though the car was not from their dealership or a ford product for that matter! They quickly topped off the fluid needed and charged us a very fair price. They could have over charged and gouged us on the price very easily given the situation but they didn't. Fair and honest people here. We even received a follow up letter the next week in the mail from the service lady. If I needed to purchase a new car, I would go to them without a second thought given the honesty and integrity of the people working here! I truly believe you'd get a fair deal from them. I recently was shopping for a new truck. Was planning on trading in my '17 F150 which was in mint condition. They offered me nearly $12,000 less than rough kbb trade in value, thought that was reasonable, and told me I should think about it because they wouldn't budge on trade in offer. I went to Lafontaine Ford in Birch Run instead where I was offered that nearly $12K more on my trade in value. Fair market price, not the bs Midland Ford was trying to pull. The sales group at Midland has consistently treated me poorly over 30 yrs, treating me like a second grade customer. I will not buy a vehicle from them nor suggest them for a purchase. They do not care about customers only how much $ they can bilk from them. read more

Bought a used vehicle and was told vehicle was inspected and everything met specifications. Vehicle brakes were grinding shortly after buying. Mechanic said brakes were very much shot and couldn't have passed recent test specifications. Talked to dealership and was told vehicles are sold as is. Obviously I was lied to. I recently bought a used 2008 Silverado from them and have had nothing but trouble with the dealership since I bought the truck. When I first walked into the showroom, I was expecting to deal with Frank and was caught off guard when I was pushed to another salesman-which I wasn't pleased with after her and I had a phone conversation earlier in the day where she called me to ask about my interest in the truck. When I told her that I had already called and spoke to Frankie and made arrangements, she said, "doesn't he know it's an online sale," and hung up. Then during negotiations, the dealership only offered me $1000 for my Ford Focus (my credit union had just told me that trade-in value was $2200 and retail was $3800), because she said that they would have to do a lot of work to it in order to sell it and would only be able to get $2000 out of it-it was posted on their website fore sale within 5 days for $4300! Next, there were issues with the spare tire and tire sensor. I didn't even think to look to see if a spare was included, which it wasn't, so when I contacted the salesman and pre-owned sales manager, they agreed to correct it and get me a spare tire and mounting hardware. 2 weeks after this conversation, I was contacted and told that I still owed $400 for the down payment on the truck. I had agreed to pay this but was never asked for it and when my credit union cut them the check, they rolled it into the payment amount. The manager came back to me and said that he wasn't going to give me the spare tire and hardware unless I paid the $400. After I had the truck delivered to me by one of their hired drivers, the tire sensor was on. When I told the manager about this, he told me to put air in the tire and it would go off-I did what he said and its still on to this day. From the beginning, I was misled and the negotiated price was not the same at the end of the deal; somehow, $600 was rolled into the final price. The manager said he would check into it and when he did, he came back and said that I got a great deal on the truck and that he didn't see where the $600 was slipped into the final price-basically trying to make me feel like a liar and a thief. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with and will never go there again nor will I recommend them to anyone. Poor attitudes (besides Frank-awesome guy), poor customer service, and down right poor business overall. read more

They told my roomate that he needed a new transmission in his 2010 f150 when it wasnt necessary after he got a second opinion. I took my car in for routine recall work and they told me my brakes had been resurfaced too many times and cannot be resurfaced again so new brakes and calipers were needed. Little did they know I replaced the calipers pads and rotors brand new myself 1 year ago. I would always get a second opinion with these guys as they cannot be trusted. read more

Years ago I had a bad experience while shopping for a new vehicle at Midland Ford. Friends had confirmed they had similar experiences and also will not shop there because they didn't deal and under-valued trade-ins, etc. Well, I was looking to lease a new truck and needed to test drive an F-150 locally as I dealt with a Ford dealer out of town. It was a night and day difference from my last experience at Midland Ford. Janelle was fabulous and the manager Wes went above and beyond to earn my business. I definitely got a deal I wasn't able to get anywhere else and got the most for my trade in (over KBB). They undercut the competition I was dealing with, delivering the perfect truck all the way from escanaba, 200 miles away. I have to say thank you for always looking out for your customers even if we are no longer able to do business because of distance. I bought my 2010 Ford Escape from Midland Ford in 2009. I always had it serviced there until I moved out of state in 2012. Recently while living here in Phoenix, AZ the Escape just about quit and I towed it to the nearest Ford Dealership. They pulled one code and gave me three options. !st was to trade it in. 2nd was to replace engine at the cost of $6500 and third was to write a blank check because they would have to tear the engine down until they found the problem. And there is no idea of how much that could end up costing. I called my good friends at Midland Ford and told them the code and they knew what the problem was. I towed my vehicle off the dealers lot and took it to a local business and they had it running within 8 hrs at a fraction of the cost. Midland Ford Service Dept is still #1 for me. read more

They don't appreciate your business. Won't respond to numerous emails I sent asking about the truck and dealership. Just pretty much bottom of the barrel customer service. Learn from my mistake. I just bought a used car from Jan and she was great! Good car buying experience and beautiful new building.

Terrible Company!! I bought my brand new car a little over a year ago, and have had nothing but problems. When you buy new, you think it should be good for at least 100,000 miles. I'm at 15,000 miles and at this point, I doubt very much that this car will even last 100,000 miles. I first thing I noticed was the car really struggles to shift gears, so I took it in, and was told "Oh that's just how they shift..." and there is nothing they can do about it. Really!?! This was in the first 2000 miles! This does give me any confidence that the car will last. Then there is the rattling of underside of the car that the guy claimed not to hear... This is still a problem, and the reason I sold my previous car. It seems to me, and I'm not a car expert, that it may be cheap parts that aren't made to last, and they loosen over time. Then there were a few minor issues that they did fix, but still, to have all of these issues in the first year!?! Most recently though, the rear was making an awful noise, so I took it in again. And again they said they couldn't hear it, but said they would check it out anyway, and after checking they said everything looked fine but if it gets worse bring it back in. The car still made the noise, and it did get much worse! So we took it back in, and stood in line behind a woman with the same make and model, and same year, with exactly the same problem! The guy at the counter said " Yeah, the shocks are bad and this has been a problem, there probably will be a recall." So they order the parts, and say it will be a couple of days before they get them. When they don't call in a couple of days, I call and am told that it will be up to 3 weeks, because they are back ordered, presumably because everyone is having the same problem. And I think, well at least I can see an end in sight... not exactly. It was fixed last night and I drive it home only to find that the shocks they replaced them with are worse than the ones I started with! It was a very bumpy ride home... So not happy! Now what?? Take it back in? The woman at the counter with the same car also mentioned problems with her heating system, and surprise, less than a week later my heating system is acting up! I feel like I was really taken advantage of, at Midland Ford, as well as Ford in general. I have previously purchased 2 other new ford cars and I was pretty happy with them. But I think in an attempt to make the company more money, the quality has really plummeted!! You know you are getting screwed a little bit when going through a dealership, but this is enough that I will never buy another ford car. Poor quality equals bad business, and I am sure I'm not they only one who feels this way. Buyer Beware! read more

I'm re-writing this review to not be so aggressive but I'm still not happy and I am done doing business with this place. I have a 2014 Ford Focus with less than 15K miles on it. It has a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The transmission has been somewhat rough even as new and I have read this is a feature of this transmission. In the past month it has gotten worse and there has developed a low rumble in the early gears. I called up the dealer and the helpful service guy informed me that the transmission is under recall? What? Why haven't I heard of this? Oh - I was told that Ford has been slow to inform people. Ah - their fault. OK check internet - there is in fact a class action law suit about this transmission problem. Hmmmm - not good. Broought the Focus in for service, The friendly service advisor met me at the car and took possession. Very good. Picked up the car later that day - and the problem was mostly solved. The service guy said they reprogrammed the transmission module. The internet claims this is a temporary fix. I would not be happy if that's what Midland Ford service did - the low cost ineffective fix. So far the car's drivability is better, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt - but I don't have tremendous confidence. read more
