It was fun to shop around and find some nostalgic items, but we were very unlikely to buy anything because the items were priced at least 3x the amount they went for originally! Extremely rude ... seems very very racist. Don't spend a dime of your money at this shop as a POC. They Won't even greet you when you walk inside they will follow you in the store. I watched from the second floor as they greeted every customer but when a black family walked in they were not greeted and the old white woman at the register turned and made a face not realizing I was watching her from the top level while the other employee followed me around. They have a lot of racist materials for sale all over the store in several displays. They have a large picture hanging with a slave on it. Ive read the reviews and it seems like this is a regular complaint and occurrence so I contacted the local better business bureau and placed a complaint. This is a phenomenal antique shop. There's just SO MUCH STUFF! The downside is that a lot of the stuff is quite expensive. I'm no antiques aficionado by any means, so perhaps the prices are in line with the market and I'm just a noob. The people who helped me get items out of cabinets and who rang me up were very friendly as well. It's a great experience with a lot of stuff to look at! One could truly spend a whole day here. There is a lot to take in, with multiple levels & tons of filled display cases. I ran out of time. I did spot several things of interest & will hafta make another trek out to finish up. Some items were quite reasonably priced, while others were inexplicably high. For example: I stumbled on an 70d/80s era non-brand-name dress with horribly stained armpit areas. It was priced at $38. Anywho, I went with 3 as an average of the inventory (5), pricing (2), service (3) I'd say it's worth the stop - you may find something you didn't know you need. read more

We had just left American Gothic in town, so my hopes were pretty high. This place let me down. They have a lot, LOT, of glass cases. Which aren't my fave. This shop has tons of Art Deco, Victorian, vintage toys and primitive items. Not a whole lot of MCM art/glass pieces. They had tons of Fenton, expensive. Same with the anchor hocking. Lamps were up there in price. Pieces were a tad dirty in the non super expensive rooms, but I did find a couple gems in those spaces. I'll just have to clean them. There were sales going on in some of the booths. The people at the front desk were super great too! read more

I've been to every antique shop in Stillwater -- the Midtown Antique Mall is the best. I usually associate an antique "mall" with 100s of vendors and thousands of little knickknacks. Midtown, indeed, has 100s of vendors and thousands of knickknacks. BUT they're huge, 3 full stories. AND they aren't afraid of big stuff. The top floor is full furniture and other large items. Overall, I was impressed with Midtown. I like the organization, the layout, and the presentation. The whole complex is very well lit. I thought the prices were fair. I also got some primo customer service from the front desk. If you only have time to stop at one antique store in Stillwater, make sure you drop by Midtown. I love this antique mall but I had a STRANGE AND UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE while in the fitting room. I'm not sure if this person was an employee (although I believe he was) but a older overweight balding/bald gentleman wearing a red and white checkered shirt starting banging on the door and demanding to be let it to "use the bathroom urgently". He was quiet rude and aggressive and did not stop banging after I told him I would be out in a moment through the door. Then when I let him in he was aggressive telling me it took me "long enough". I decided to leave without trying on all the clothing. I love this antique mall but I didn't really like being harassed while using the fitting room. Kind of weird. read more

The antique store is very big inside. It's almost overwhelming with every display case and corner having so many different items to find! Their Life Magazine is extremely good with magazines from the 1930s to mid 2000s. Prices will vary so you may find a very good deal on some items, but also find other items overpriced. Staff will ask every now and then if you would like to see certain items but I believe they ask that because most items are locked in the display cases and they would like to assist you while they're there instead of having you have to find them while you found just what you're looking for. It is a lot of fun to browse around! I recommend preparing to spend quite a bit of time browsing around because of the size of the store! It is worth visiting while you're visiting Stillwater! Watch your step though! Some parts of the store seem to cause part of the carpet next to your foot go up so it may cause glass on the shelf next to you shake and rattle! Also! If you find something you want to see in a display case, take a picture of the display case key number on the top corners to help the workers get the right key! read more

I'm not a huge Antique person because my parents have most of this shit tucked away in their home of over 50 years, but I like that they have a huge selection with various things and it's a great place to stroll with somebody you love and look around. I always end up stopping here first when I'm on a Stillwater antique binge. You can't not find something to drool over. The only reason I am withholding a fifth star is because some of their prices seem a little over the top for kitchenware, which is my particular weakness. This place has EXQUISITE furniture. It might seem pretty pricey at first glance, but when you consider how old some of it is, as well as the immaculate condition most of it is, it's a bit more understandable than some of their other items. If you are a bajillionaire and want quality antique furniture, this is your place. They also have a great jewelry selection, if you love tacky/kitschy costume jewelry (which I do quite a bit). Definitely a must-stop, but I would say be picky about prices. read more

This place is huge, almost overwhelming. But that's probably a good thing. What's not a good thing, is when you get asked multiple times if you're looking for something in particular, and when you say "no, just browsing," you feel like you're being watched like a criminal. Isn't browsing exactly what most customers are typically doing in a huge antique store?? I don't know what a "typical criminal" looks like, but I'm pretty sure my husband and I aren't it. Actually my husband who hates "junk" stores brought me in . We browsed around for almost 2 hours. He found a curio/cabinet with curved glass, glass shelves,mirror back and lights that was calling his name. Cheryl check with seller and negotiated a good price, we left her our name and number while we thought about it. Ended up calling her back and buying it. Was greeted to what seemed to be either the owners or employees however there was no way of telling because they looked just like shoppers and not workers. Anyway, One of the workers asked if I was just looking or actually shopping and I said just browsing for now. He then said he rather have me look somewhere else and was very rude about it. As an enthusiast of antiques I found it odd that while it was 6:01pm and this location closes at 6:00pm we were yelled at by whoever was working at this time. Perhaps saying "Sorry, we are closed." instead of just yelling "WE'RE CLOSED!" in such a tone that makes me feel sad for you. read more
