Susan and Kari are exceptional in practice, and are amazing women…read more Susan's full service massage therapy is transformative. Consultation is informative and thorough. Deep tissue, trigger points, hot stone, cupping, and much more... I always left calmer of body and mind. She doesn't jabber throughout the session, rather allows you to guide whether (or not) you wish to talk. Her space is meditative with the aroma of essential oils. Soothing, unobtrusive music. Warm linens and towels. Dim, warm lighting. Her chair doesn't squeak. She doesn't breathe loudly. And the energy as she lays hands on you is amazing. She has a calming, centering about her that will put you at ease no matter the service or length of time you receive. Tip: go long for your first several sessions, that way she can explore your therapy needs. Kari has you covered with skin care and aesthetics. I never knew different waxes are intended for use in different areas of the body. She has, admittedly, waxed me and I have seriously sensitive skin--- as in, I've bled from waxing. Not only did my skin NOT immediately set ablaze with waxing, but it was truly pain free. I'm sure she will say no waxing is without some discomfort as a disclaimer, but I had zero pain. My eyebrows were male appropriate--- no high arches or pencil thin lady brows. Cleaned up and masculine. I have also heard her Brazilians are pretty amazing . She also offers aesthetics services and skin consultations, both of which have come highly recommended by those I've referred. I'm a wimp with facials--- pore extraction drives me crazy. I am so proud of them as they embark on their second year in business. If you are in or around Burlington, set up a day for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

At one time Eternelle Beaute was a solid 4 star review for me. Time passes, things change…read more I stopped going there quite some time ago for a variety of reasons. 1. It became obvious that unless you were going in for major changes to your hair style or color, the standard upkeep cuts become more and more sloppy, rushed, and uneven. My mom also found this out when she continually refused to color her hair and just wanted the same cut/style that her 80 something self liked. Not exactly what one would call "full service". Also, listening to the stylist talk smack about how the business is run and about the other stylists while customers are in the house---and I don't care if those customers are their best friends, that is a business NO NO! And I noticed through my experience and through word-of-mouth (WOM) that the consistency of the pedicures was...well, not consistent. The first one or two would have you raving to others and then the level of service would diminish greatly so you ended up with a 'meh' pedicure. Consistency in service is key if you want to keep customers. There was also the issue of trying to walk in to tan, but nobody every being at the front desk. Because the stylists rent their chairs, it's not their place or obligation to deal with the customers coming in for other services, so there were times I or other people would stand for several minutes before they'd either start wandering to find someone, another customer would let someone know, or they'd walk out. I loved the stand-up booth, especially in the winter to aid in the dealing with SAD, but it also became apparent the last couple times I was there that the booth hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, nor had the bulbs been changed. The waxing services were also inconsistent. My first two times were great, the next one left several missed spots that were obvious enough I had to shave them. Again, lack of consistency, lack of service. It's been a year or so since I've been there, I hope it's upped it's game and realizes what's needed to run a solid business. ***************************************************** Full service and friendly. Let me break this down for you: Tanning: I can get a tan and do squats at the same time--75 squats in 9 minutes ain't shabby, people! She also does Norvell spray tans that are great! I had my first one this past week and it looks very bronzed and natural, not oompa loompa like (looking at you Mystic Tan spray booth!). Pedicures: This isn't just soaking your feet and painting your toes. Sheri has some strong fingers and does a great massage that works all those tiny little knots out of your feet that you probably didn't know existed, but now will and will possibly have to start a 12-step program for pedi addicts! Manicures: Get the shellac and have Sheri do something fancy on your nails. You'll feel all pampered and your hands will be smooth and silky soft by the time she's done. Waxing: Shaving is a pain. It's 15-20 minutes of every other day I just won't get back. So, why not wax those legs and not have to worry about it for a week or more!? The same goes for the pits, or the chest (for the dudes...or the ladies who might have hairy chests...I don't judge and neither does Sheri!). Cuts/Color: There are four stylists at Eternelle--all perfectly qualified to deal with your locks. I let Adriana take care of my coif and for such a young whippersnapper right out of school, she does a stellar job. She takes time and care in making sure she's giving you what you want and will work with you on things that you may not be too sure of. My only beef is that they will not stop playing the country music. I swear they do it just to annoy me! Ok, one other tiny beef, I would also love to see some product lines available that aren't accessible nearby (Aveda, Rusk, Kevin Murphy, or some such). Amazon is my friend and all, but if I can buy local, I'd rather do so!

Hey, these guys are sharp! We had a great experience. My daughter had a strange abscess in her ear…read morelobe that wasn't an allergic reaction to ear rings, but was somehow related to her piercings getting infected in the one lobe. We had seen a family physician who prescribed antibiotic ointment, which got the angry, oozing, painful, purple thing under control, and shrunk it a lot, but it didn't go away. The physician hardly even looked at it, and didn't seem to know anything about it or what it was. Not so with Dr. Cleveland! He was very interested in hearing my story, was not turned off by the fact that I had done some internet research, and even suggested where to look for more info. He diagnosed the condition quickly and informed me that many times other physicians are unfamiliar with skin conditions that they seemingly should be familiar with. We learned that the condition would not necessarily clear up on its own, and thus performed a quick office procedure right there to clean the gunk out which threatened to fester. Daughter's ear healed very well and the problem has not come back. His staff was very friendly and considerate. For any skin condition you are having a problem with, I highly recommend Dr. Cleveland. Also, they will not reschedule you for procedures if they can do it there that day. That's a huge plus! They see patients in Fort Madison once a week, but their regular clinic is in Burlington, Iowa. It will take 2 or 3 weeks to get on their schedule, but that's not bad for a dermatologist these days.
