I should have read the reviews. They will schedule you and take X-rays, but they won't clean your teeth in the first visit. I asked about getting my teeth cleaned because I just moved here and am on a 4 month cleaning schedule. I was told I would have my teeth cleaned. I am no longer a patient at Midwest Dental, but my husband still goes there. He recently had procedures done at Midwest Dental not too long ago. As I wait in the waiting area, I did noticed that they are lacking in customer service. One of their patient came out from her procedure and stood at the front desk while the receptionist kept her head down. The lady paced around the front desk for few minutes looking for something before the receptionist finally asked her what she's looking for. All lady wanted is a pen. Always acknowledge your customer or tell them, "I'll be right with you". I left them because I had similar incident. I went there to pay my bills and the receptionist did not acknowledge me, I stood in front of her for a good few minutes. Then I get a unhappy look from her and asked me "can I help you?". read more

Makes going to the dentist more comfortable. I highly recommend Midwest Dental. As a child I hated the dentist. I had such bad experiences with Dental Associates. Once I was on my own insurance I started coming to Midwest Dental. what a huge difference. read more

I was a Midwest Dental patient in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for less than a year. During my first visit, an oral evaluation and full-mouth x-rays were completed. They did not do a cleaning; however, they were happy to refer me next door to Midwest Dental Specialties for periodontal treatment, which included root planing and scaling and surgery. Midwest Dental insists that their patients make a payment based on an estimate calculated by Midwest Dental. Midwest Dental (not Midwest Dental Specialties) always overestimated my payment portion. When I received my EOBs from my insurance company, I had overpaid. Midwest Dental stated that they would apply any overpayment to my next bill. However, after I had finished treatment with Midwest Dental Specialties and returned to Midwest Dental (less than a year later), Midwest Dental no longer showed my overpayment. When I looked back at my Midwest Dental bills and my insurance statements and called Midwest Dental, explained the situation to the receptionist, and asked that my overpayments be returned to me, she responded in an extremely rude manner, laughed harshly, and said she'd get some money out of her purse and send it to me. Obviously, she didn't send me any money. I had to write a letter to the Midwest Dental home office and they returned the overpayments. Along with the overpayments were printouts from the Sheboygan office showing my payments, the insurance company payments, and the amounts I had overpaid. The person from Sheboygan who had to do the research on my request was apparently angry that they had to do it because they wrote some wording on the printouts in red pen in large, slanted handwriting that was written in a hard manner, as though they could have written right through the printouts. Midwest Dental dentist Alex Grech uses amalgam fillings (which contain mercury). As I mentioned, I was a Midwest Dental patient for less than a year. When I went to Midwest Dental to get my full-mouth x-rays (which were less than a year old) for my new dentist, Midwest Dental said the x-rays were theirs and I'd have to pay for the x-rays. I refused! I am sorry I ever went to Midwest Dental in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. My new dentist is nice and the receptionist is always friendly and professional. read more

There is something wrong at Midwest Dental Sheboygan. All of the staff seem very unhappy with their jobs. Each and every staff member I came into contact with at my last visit made it clear with their scuffs, sighs and almost eye rolling, that they didn't want to be bothered to do their job. At first I thought it was just me, but I inquired to 3 other patients of Midwest about my thoughts and all 3 agreed. Customer service is still important even in this digital age....a smile goes a long way. read more
