A family member and I have had eye exams there. First, we waited until 1/2 hour past our…read moreappointment time, with no reason given. When I asked why, this kind of rude technician said we had to fill out ALL of our paperwork before we could be seen. She had a "Boy, you're not very smart" tone to her voice. The office did not send the paperwork beforehand, and did not ask us to come in early. Also, they were trying to get us to agree to a "picture of the eye" test instead of dilation that was not covered by insurance. The handout they gave me to read and sign was partially cut off and I couldn't even read it. When I told the rude technician this, she turned to the office staff and said rudely, "This is cut off. You're going to have to recopy this." Our exams were with Amanda Senac and I would not recommend her at all. She said some things about my family member's eyes that concerned me, and when I asked for more detail, she wasn't able to give it. I asked her to explain how the treatment she was recommending would help his condition, and she just quoted something she must have read in a book. When I said I didn't understand, she said the same thing, but acted as if I must not be very smart. She then turned to the doctor who was shadowing her and asked her to explain. I finally got my question answered when I went home and looked at Pub Med. I also asked what kind of outcome we could expect once this treatment was finished, and she wasn't really able to answer that clearly. Also, she knew I only had insurance coverage for one pair of glasses. She recommended I get two pairs of glasses, one for close viewing and one for distance. I said that my insurance only covered one pair, and asked what I should do. She really didn't have any recommendations. When I was concerned about how well I'd be able to do my work wearing the glasses for distance, if I just got those, she really couldn't help me. I think she is too inexperienced and out of touch with the "real world" to be very good. Also, the attitude of "we're right and the patient is wrong" is pretty hard to take. I will not be returning to this office.
