Jadyn was so attentive and just interested in us. She was a good listener and let us know she heard what we were saying in a very courteous way. Jackie plans to purchase several pair of glasses, both prescription sunglasses and the regular inside pair. From here on out we will be going to Vision Quest and asking for Jadyn, when we need new eyewear.

All of my contacts with the front office have reflected that - including on the phone. That's refreshing; we all know what a spectacle it can be to call a doctor, with phone trees and long holds and no appointments open for months. Dr. Clay Jones is my doctor there. I don't believe I've ever seen the others. Apparently he's good, as I can now see better (when I wear my glasses.) He remembered me from last year, and we had a pleasant, light conversation. Always nice not to feel invisible. The site is okay. It's within view of downtown. The medical office building is connected to the hospital, and while it's nothing special at first glance, upon closer inspection, there are decent food and coffee spots inside the hospital (on the ground floor.) The parking garage costs a few dollars. Since cash use is fading, I've noticed they now accept credit cards. A bright person will bring sunglasses for their trip home after the dilating eyedrops. And keep in mind, you clearly shouldn't drive right after the appointment. If you must drive yourself, factor in time to lazily wander the hospital afterwards. Strolling through the gift shops and cafes might make it less dull. From my perspective, Abrams Eye Care operates with an aura of efficiency and hospitality. I'd rate them high on the charts.

He remembers details about me and checks in on a personal level during the exam and truly listens to my concerns. Exams are thorough, and Dr. Potter is honest--he has told me when my prescription changed very little and I didn't need new glasses. I don't feel like they pressure you to buy an expensive pair of new glasses just because you're there, which I can't say for some other places I've gone. The rest of the staff is also SO friendly and they make the visit fun. There is a huge selection of very cool frames with a good price range. Glasses can be expensive anywhere you go, but you can get a nice pair here reasonably priced or you can get pricier designer frames, as well. I have done both and been satisfied. I love it here!

I had LASEK surgery with Dr. William Keeling at Indiana Eye Clinic in Indiana in 2017/2018. Prior…read moreto this, I had been a patient of Dr. Keeling for most of my life, and my mother was also a patient there. Because of that long-standing relationship, I trusted him completely with my vision and my care. Before surgery, I had multiple consultations with Dr. Keeling. I was told that I was an excellent candidate for LASEK. After surgery, I carefully followed all post-operative instructions and attended many follow-up appointments. Throughout those appointments, I repeatedly reported that the vision in my right eye was not as clear as my left eye. Approximately one year later, Dr. Keeling discussed performing a LASEK enhancement. At that visit, additional testing was finally performed, including a visual field test and OCT scan. At that point, it was discovered that I had a retinal detachment in my right eye. I was told the detachment was severe and "macula off," meaning the central retina had detached. I required emergency retinal surgery the very next day, including placement of a scleral buckle. The retinal surgeon explained that the detachment was serious and had likely been present for a significant amount of time. Following the scleral buckle surgery, my vision permanently changed. I now experience double vision, distortion, loss of detail, and ongoing visual complications. I later learned that I had lattice degeneration associated with my high prescription (-6.00), which raised serious questions for me about whether I was an appropriate candidate for LASEK in the first place. This experience had a profound impact on my quality of life and mental health. I share this review so others will ask questions, seek second opinions, and carefully research all risks.

We called after 2 weeks to see the status of the glasses and that was when Zack said the sunglasses were there but they didn't have the clear set. A representative a woman stated that the glass maker told them that they had lost the glasses and now had to order the frames and it would be another couple of weeks!!! By this time , I was livid not only do they not keep on top of glasses that were ordered but no one contacted us to tell us of a delay and why. That is horrible Customer Service, do they not care to take care of a client from start to finish or is it, that once they have my money the sale is over!!! We feel that the prices of the glasses weren't cheap so the service should be top notch. Once the clear glasses did come in, we were contacted but we shouldn't have had to do all the reminding and follow up. Our understanding would be much more agreeable if we were contacted as soon as the sunglasses came in and they already had the answers on the reason why the clear glasses weren't ready on time. The front office staff members were kind and welcoming. The tech who took photos and helped get things prepared for Dr Hoffman was engaging and sweet and Dr Hoffman blew us both away with her complete engagement with my girl. She was funny and personable and yet very professional. The woman who helped my daughter look for glasses was patient and went above and beyond to help her feel her best. When I told her I could not see out of my new glasses or contacts, her response was simply, "Well, that's about as good as it's going to get!" I then explained that I would be switching to a new doctor and brought my glasses back to request a refund. The front desk staff became visibly offended and refused to let me speak with the doctor. They could clearly see that my eye was extremely red, but they completely ignored it. Because I was leaving the practice, they suddenly required me to pay upfront for services that day--something that had never been asked of me before, despite having insurance. When I apologized and repeated that I simply could not see out of the glasses or contacts, they just handed me my paperwork with no further discussion or help. This office seems perfectly fine as long as you're happy with everything and don't complain. The moment you have an issue with the glasses or contacts, the service and attitude change dramatically. I am very disappointed in both the medical care and the overall treatment I received.

However, there have been some extremely frustrating hiccups that should have never happened. The biggest issue that I take with this location, is that they do not have proper knowledge on the correct frames or even fitting those frames, for a 1 year old needing a very strong (thick) prescription lens. Many caregivers are depending on them to guide them when experiencing this for the first time, and they were not able to do that. This resulted in receiving glasses that were entirely to big and they couldn't hold the lens in place well enough either. While they tried their best to be helpful in reordering the right type, something went wrong with the order and the wrong glasses were sent to their office. Thankfully her mother ordered a second, backup pair that can be used in the meantime. However, they are not the durable, non destructible type like she needs for everyday wear. Quite a frustrating and expensive ordeal.

It's hard not to write a 5 star review when we owe our child's sight to this place!…read more We came to find out that our child needed nearly immediate surgery... and by God's grace we picked this place from a list supplied by our pediatrician... and we were assigned a doctor... and couldn't have been any luckier than to have been assigned to Dr. Daniel Neely! The staff is pretty great here... as mentioned, we were very lucky to have such a great doctor in Dr. Neely. He knew right away that my child needed surgery. He had great way to comfort me in my shock, by saying things I didn't know I needed to hear at the time... such as "this is nothing you did, it's just back luck" (as my child was still a baby). And reassured me that he'd do his best in surgery and if we did our part with patching, our child wouldn't likely have nearly perfect vision after this! The assistants have always been very sweet and patient and kind. But the receptionist aren't usually all that friendly, but they get the job done... The facility is clean. The bathroom is far away, across the hospital. The wait is usually at least 20 minutes past your appointment time, and we've had to wait past an hour at times. The pediatric glasses shop in here is THE place to go, don't shop around, THIS place knows it's stuff and you won't find better knowledge nor service anywhere else.
