My name is Mary Harms & 22 years ago I was the recipient of an an orthopedic surgeon who accidentally stapled my saphenous nerve during an ACL reconstruction. 4 surgeries later-the nerve was amputated out of my leg. I have been in pain management since. (Name of surgeon was provided to consult if needed) I provided a list of all my doctors-numbers included. I provided the details of the closure of Advance Pain Management. Numbers included. I provided explanations why I was having difficulties getting my records. I was told, they do not write narcotics (which all clinics do when you first call) when the office manager came to the window to say they do not write Rx's-that they would not be seeing me??? (I did say YES I am looking to maintain my current course treatment-and alternatives) She was rude, her staff said PMS-and that lots of people demand Rx-in 22 years no office has ever complained they get lots of drug addicts-this office most. As a doctor's wife-all my friends docs-I concede there are seekers. I am not ONE of them. I was told the manager has SAY over who is seen! Not the Doctor Not the Nurse Practitioner. The office manager. She had an issue w/ my primary residence is in Waukegan-we also have a home in Miller. (Why I was looking in IN-did not lie) To my fellow pain patience-you know the humiliation I just suffered! We have all been there! To my fellow pain patient-you know the "Hoops" doctors now make us jump over! Only never has a PMS (her staff exact statement when I asked why did that happened? What did I do?? I knew-I stood up to manager. I run one of the most successful firm in my arena-I have access to power. None of my resume matters except if I was treated terribly-fighting back tears. Imagine how this office would treat the elderly, someone who did not fulling understanding or remembering everything when they first called to make the appointment. No need to imagine-this office treats new patient as drug addicts-criminals before any medical assessment. In closing-I will be fine, my primary care doc will manage my Rx's. I was wondering alternatives options, why I came down for this appointment. Are there new nerve Rx's that be helpful?? I was brought to tears-and humiliated. First time in 22 years. Thank You for reading. I hope you find a doctors office with compassion & caring.

She said she would call PT and never did. then Told me I will call today and I told I don't trust her or anything she says. Asked for a doctor told me she talks to doctor to review things and that should be good enough. When I saw her delete things on computer last visit should have given me heads up then Billed Medicare as if I saw a doctor no longer there since December. called to report her to manager they said we cant see you no because I refused to believe the nurse . sat in room 39 minutes and I started to leave they rushed me back to room I should of kept going home. I was sent here during their 2024 merge and thought I was still in-network and was not. They did not go over my insurance before scheduling my lumbar injections and although I checked this address on my insurance website, the surgical center within the office was out of network. I had no prior way to know how their billing worked and they failed miserably. I received no help from office staff to resolve this issue and I will never go back. The surgical center bills separately under 'Interventional Pain Management, LLC' and not 'Centers for Pain Control'. You must get a tax ID# and call your insurance provider to be sure they are in network because they may not warn you as other medical offices do before scheduling procedures. Lesson learned!

I try to utilize the very latest technology and techniques - but that are well-established and proven by good scientific studies! - to treat these problems 2.) complex spine pathology: spinal tumors, scoliosis and spinal trauma, and sagittal balance problems. Generally, these problems require a more complicated and creative solution to achieve good results 3.) functional pain surgery: sometimes, you cannot safely or reasonably fix the problem facing the patient. Or the patient may have some underlying nerve damage (CRPS, for example) that does not correct with surgery. Spinal cord stimulators (SCS) can be of great help to these patients. 4.) minimally invasive surgery: using advanced retractors, endoscopic and microscopic techniques to alleviate a patient's pain can lead a quicker recovery 5.) brain tumors: such as pituitary tumors, or tumors compressing or invading the brain. Surgery can often help to diagnose and treat these tumors
