When I called to make the appointment, I was told the Groupon would not be accepted as I'm not a first-time customer - even though I didn't purchase it myself. If Midwest Health Care & Physical Medicine partners with Groupon they should honor the deal regardless of whether it's a self-purchase or gift.

She told me that my concerns were being reviewed, which I very much appreciate. I do not want other women to experience what I did! She also offered to transfer me into the OB group, but I declined, as I prefer to work with midwives. I have since learned that both Amy Burgess and Isabel Guillou are leaving the practice. I am now obviously concerned about who would attend to me and Baby on Delivery Day and what level of care I'd be receiving. As such, I am going to change midwife groups and hospitals. Luckily my birth coach recommended two midwifery groups in the area who seem (to her) more compassionate choices, and my doula gave her recommendation. What stinks is to be going through this process at 28 weeks, but better late than never and putting things to chance!
