I am amazed at the quality of the job and the attention to fine detail on this big repaint of 6 decks and more at our mountain home. This was a big job requiring wraparound scaffolding, a lot of overhead work, and tons of prep on the old surfaces. I would like to take a moment to write a review on Midwest painting. Rich and his crew did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our home. Our house needed a ton of prep work and it was a very difficult job since our house is higher than a normal 2 story home. These guys just got to work and fixed everything perfectly before they started painting. We had to wait a while until they had an opening and we are sure glad we did. It was well worth it. Another thing that impressed us was the crew was always very considerate, kept everything clean, and did not use foul language or blast music all day like some other trades we have had working there. Remarkable! Hiring Richard and his crew was an amazing experience all around! I interviewed several companies to get estimates prior to selecting Midwest. Richard provided a comprehensive estimate which was helpful. They did extensive preparation which is essential on an older home, provided quality paint, the physical painting of the house itself was perfect, and then followed up with careful finishing and detailing which are crucial in making anything look it's best. They didn't rush through the job and were very easy to work with. Also, had excellent suggestions that made the overall outcome wondrous!! I had the house painted 10 years ago and it was just okay. This is a thrilling change/outcome and I wish I had done it years ago. Richard and his crew showed up every day on time and worked all day. They always took the time to speak with me and were never in a rush or dismissive of my ideas or questions. I can't possibly express what a relief it was to have something amazing come out of this experience and it was not stressful. (I had been stressing about it for quite a while.) I hired Midwest Painting and it all came together. I think this is an area where you get what you pay for. This was not my cheapest estimate, but it was by far the very best possible hire, and I will have them come back to do more work in the not too distant future. I am very, very detail oriented, and it was amazing that there were no paint drips, no bits and pieces of paint on other surfaces surrounding the house, nothing on the cement. (There are paint spots from when the house was painted 10 years ago, but NOTHING from Midwest!) They taped everything off and were so clean that if you didn't know, the house had been painted the day before you would never know. It was crisp and clean. They even put the furniture back under the ramada and it looked as though it had never been moved. In a day and age where people don't show up, do poor work, and don't follow up, Midwest is heads and shoulders above the rest. Used Midwest painting about a month ago. If you're looking to paint your home , don't waste your time getting a plethora of estimates. Richard has a business-like approach and provided me a timely estimate. I can describe Richard and his team as : professional , courteous and attention to detail. I've been looking around for a month for a mistake but haven't found one yet. I'm petty finicky about stuff like detail and perfection. Richard also does the painting but when he needs to step away , his team leader (Brian I believe ) does an excellent job delegating tasks and ensuring the homeowner's desires are met. They were extremely neat and when the job was done , everything such as pictures , tv hook ups etc are all restored to original locations/set up. We had the exterior of our house painted back in 2018 and we wanted to make sure we gave a review of this reliable company. Rich and his crew were professional, helpful, and timely. When we were considering different paint combinations he offered some options. He and his crew arrived on time, completed what they said they would complete, fixed some stucco damage, and were even done early. The pricing was reasonable compared to other offers we had priced out and Rich and his crew cleaned up everyday as if they were never here. After a few days after the painting was completed I called Rich because I noticed some color variations in our front door and he promptly responded, came over, and explained to me what was causing the variation. It was easily solved with wiping the door down with some Dawn dish washing detergent. Rich told us to contact him anytime we had any questions or issues in the future. Wow, just wow. After having a failed experience here in town with another painting contractor (wanted to redo the estimate on the start date), I contacted Rich to see if he could help me out. He came out that day and did a walk through of my house and seemed very professional. More professional than all the other painting contractors I worked with. He gave me a quote which I was happy with, scheduled me in and not once did he change the start date on me (previous contractor changed it 3 times). I am moving from San Francisco to Mentone this month and they busted their A$$es to get my job done last night so the carpets can be installed before my movers show up. We had an unfortunate robbery during their time at the house and they were so caring & concerned that they stayed with my cat and the house until the sheriff showed up-then started back up on the work, amazing. Rich also boarded up my kicked in doors & made a blockade out of 2x4s where the robbers kicked/pried out the deadbolt. Fantastic experience. I reached out to Richard via the internet and he came to give an estimate late on a Saturday. He pointed out things that I hadn't even noticed and then gave a verbal quote that he matched in writing. He discussed paint colors with my wife via email, making great suggestions that turned out really well. Rich was exactly on time the day he came to check out my house. He checked the stucco, the wood trim, the wood siding, and the doors. After 30 minutes he said he would get back to me within a couple days with a quote. One day later he provided a detailed quote. We scheduled a date to begin. Rich and his crew are the best! We hired Midwest to remove the popcorn from our interior rooms and to paint the exterior stucco on our house. We also completed an extreme outdoor makeover by adding an outdoor kitchen and firepit which we had Midwest also paint the stucco on both.
