We had about 6-7 different painting companies provide estimates for an entire indoor home repaint and Steve McKenzie Painting was my top choice at the end of the bidding process. His company has very competitive prices, top-notch quality and customer service. It started well. These are my complaints. Mr. McKenzie said when we're done I'll walk the property and will fix anything you're not happy with. This did not happen. His workman told me he'd do it. They couldn't wait to get out of there. Approximately 3-4 weeks later I see some boards that should have been replaced. I took pictures and sent them to Mackenzie. From the first contact with Steve to the last words with Jessie and Jeff, I have never experienced such a positive feeling when dealing with a contractor. I needed to have the trim repainted on my house after only four years. His price was very fair comparing it to other painting contractors. Steve and his team painted the exterior of my home in the San Bernardino Mountains. They did a terrific job, and it was a great experience. Although their estimate was slightly higher than the other two I got, I selected Steve because of the vision he had for the house. Before they painted, we did a thorough walk-through of the project. They did a great job of replacing old siding, removing an ugly window air conditioner and replacing the trim, and overall prepping the house to paint. We had originally agreed to stain the house, but when the product (a high-quality one) wouldn't take, Steve suggested we switch to paint. We found a great paint color that really complemented the look of the home, a 1940s cabin. Steve had suggested a darker color for the door and window trim, and a different color for the front and back doors. It all worked, and what had been a house in desperate need of a paint job is now truly a thing of beauty to behold. A final note: I really enjoyed working with Steve and the team. They were professional, always responsive and really friendly.
