Toby did a very good job at our townhome renovation project. Prompt response and good communication all the way through. Price was reasonable and included spraying our crown molding door casings, doors and pre-painting base boards for later installation. I was going to try painting all this myself with a klunky helper, but I am glad I found Toby because I would not have been able to do as good of work as his. Also, I would not have been able to move in on time. Check out the photos. Crown, casings doors and trim color was fundamental white- Satin from Sherwin Williams. Perfect color for doors, basebords and all trim work. Main color was called. "Country Charm" which was darker than I hoped so lightened it up by 30%. Office color is "Wet Pavement" - also too dark so lightened it by 30% I had already purchased most of the paint from Lowes using their "Showcase" line. Toby prefers Dunn Edwards materials which can be superior for certain applications. Toby is super experienced. He had great recommendations on all processes along the way. read more

I rarely do reviews but this was important because of the circumstances. I had a special project that I needed to complete. My son was going away for two weeks and I planned to redo his bathroom which was going to be a complete makeover. I found the original painter on the neighbors app. He came out, he did an estimate, he gave me a price, and he gave me a date. But he gave me a date a week away. But even though the date was cutting it close I went ahead and booked it. Needless to say I was sort of desperate to get it done so that I could finish all the work that needed to be completed after the paint job was done. Well... that painter bailed on me!!!! I took two weeks off from work to complete this project, so the first week was wasted because the first painter left me hanging. Now I had a worse problem! I had only a week and no paint on the walls. I was really stressing out because the makeover would not have turned out without the paint job being completed. AMAZINGLY .. this painter, that left me hanging had good reviews on the neighbors app. But if I had to do a review on him it would not be nice. The second time around I literally just looked up painters close to my house. After several calls there was nobody that could do a rush job. And I was running out of Time. Thank goodness I came across Toby and his company Precision Painting. He was completely booked BUT he did everything he could to get to my job and get it done in just a couple of days!! That's what I call OUTSTANDING service!!! It's easy to tell someone on the phone "sorry we're booked." That's not what Toby did, he went out of his way to make it happen. I can't tell you how happy I was not only with the fact that he was an outstanding business owner who came to my aid at a needed time but the work was also outstanding. We added a patio cover in our backyard, and we needed major stucco work done as a result, and we had to paint the back of the house. Toby referred us to a great stucco guy, and then he painted it so it all matched. It turned out great. He matched the color perfectly. Precision Paint Co. was incredible. They were not the least expensive (about in the middle bid range) and now I realize why. The prep work was like I have never seen before and the quality of the paint was top notch! My home was painted about 8 years ago and I now understand why it started fading and chipping so quickly and continuously. That company spent very little time preparing and the quality of the paint was just okay. Precision Painting took their time and did an excellent job getting my home ready, from power spraying, hand scraping, door frame and other deteriorating wood replacement to flawlessly painting the entire home, garage, patio, fences and trim. Toby, the owner, is very friendly and outgoing. He communicates extremely well and is an open book. He gives you straight answers and tells you things you need to hear whether you asked or not. He provides a lot of information and advice on the project and cost, materials and length of time. He did the exterior of our home and it looks great. It was done well and we have no complaints on the job done look wise, however, there are a lot more pant chips than we anticipated. We expected to have no paint chips left over on our property from our consultation. Also, the team started a day later than they were supposed to and it was to take 4-5 days but it took 7. Also, they took a 2 day break without asking/telling/informing us. They used our garbage cans and they completely filled them, leaving no room for our own trash. It took us two weeks to get back to our normal trash levels, and it was smelly and horrible. Contractors should pack out there own trash. I shuld not have to 1. pay to dispose of their trash and 2. let my trash sit around because there's no room for it. The trash removal fee is typically built into the bid. Other than that, their patch work and paint work was done well and communication was mostly good. Exterior paint job. 4.5 stars Friendliness. 5 stars Patch work. 4.5 stars Response time to phone calls. 5 stars Cleanliness. 4 stars Trash disposal. 1 star I would recommend and use them again. I would just clearly say to haul their own trash next time. read more

I am so glad we contracted with Toby's company, Precision Painting out of Yucaipa to paint the exterior of our stucco and wood home. They are top notch, every employee is very client focused and they are very attentive to detail. They power washed the house on the first day. They laid out tons of drop cloths, masked and taped and took the time to insure this was all in place before they started prepping, sanding, scraping, and attending to any damaged stucco and wood. They started the painting after doing all the prep work and were very careful making sure no paint got on anything other than the planned surfaces. The job was completed today but not before they picked up all waste and swept the area, made sure nothing was left behind. I plan to contract with them again for interior work. My experience closely matches that of Linda A. on this site. Toby came out, told us in great detail about the process he would use to repaint our kitchen cabinets and ceiling. Having had a really bad job done by a previous painter my husband and I were very excited about the quality job he would do. The next day he sent us a quote for a very high price. After trading emails he agreed to a slightly lower price. Still very high but we were willing to pay for the quality we desired. Toby said he would mail us a contract the next day. After a couple of days with no contract, I called and left him a message. He called back and left a message that his guy was behind but that I would definitely get it on Monday. (The first time he reference being behind in paperwork he referenced a woman assistant.) We have still not received a contract and do no want one now. Precision was highly recommended to us by a neighbor and his work was beautiful. Like Linda A., I was concerned that I had done something to bring this about. Thank you Linda for your post.
