We had read on various Toyota online groups that you can purchase Toyota extended warranties from someone other than your local dealer/while purchasing your vehicle new. As another posted previously, we live in Washington state and purchased our vehicles in Washington state. Jerry Johnson came highly recommended on these Toyota groups. He was VERY responsive. Evenings, weekends, super Polite and is very good at what he does. Warranty Prices are a fraction of what they would have cost when they were offered to us at our local dealership at time of vehicle purchase. So I just had my car serviced. They said it would take a little over three hours to do two recall items and then change the oil. It as 6 and a half hours later that it was done with no smile, no apology and no explanation I think they just forgot about me and finally got it done Not too happy. I live in Ohio and purchased a new 2024 Toyota Corolla Hatchback XSE from my local dealer. It was a nightmare ordeal from start to finish. Because I had such issues with the dealer I started a google search to see if they were trying to overcharge me for extended service and maintenance plans. I quickly found various sites, including Toyota Nation, that had several posts from customers like me questioning their dealership pricing. I found that nearly everyone who replied highly recommended Jerry Johnson from Midwest Toyota. Not only did I learn that I didn't have to buy warranties from the same dealer I purchased the car from, and could buy from ANY Toyota dealer across the US, along with the fact I didn't have to buy the same day I purchased my vehicle either. I told my local dealer to remove the warranties and quickly contacted Jerry. Let me tell you, everything that everyone said about Jerry is completely accurate. He does indeed sell authentic Toyota warranties (not 3rd party), he was very kind, professional, knowledgeable and a real blessing to work with. Lastly, the service warranty my local dealership offered was 8 yr/75,000 miles at almost TWICE the price of Jerry and had the nerve to brag about how they were giving me a great deal at just $200.00 over cost to make up for their mistakes made with my car deal. After speaking with Jerry I had a smile on my face for the first time in days after dealing with my local dealership. He has been the best part of our new car purchase and would highly recommend him to anyone purchasing a Toyota vehicle and want to add a warranty. read more

I have never had a good experience at this dealership. Every visit over the last 3 years has involved poor customer service, disrespect, shoddy work and ends with repeated visits to get simple repairs done right. The most recent visit is typical: I made an appointment for regular servicing of my 2015 Camry. I arrived on time for the appointment, and was told it would take 1 hour for an oil change and tire rotation. I was there waiting for 2 1/2 hours. No one communicated with me about the delay, and no one apologized for the delay and inconvenience it caused. My car was returned to me filthy! There were numerous grease spots on my cream colored leather interior where the mechanic had touched with his dirty hands and boots. I was so upset that my car was returned to me yet again in this grimey condition. I came home and spent 2 hours detailing my interior, except for the large grease spot on my carpet. My husband took our Toyota back up to the dealership so that they could see the grease stain and make it right. They made pathetic excuses for how that could have happened, and refused to apologize or take any responsibility. (They did give my husband a card for a free car wash, but I don't have any confidence in this place and the work they do.) The worst part is that the next day I noticed that my newly serviced car was now leaking oil! My husband called the general manger and asked him to address it. He sent someone to get my car and left me a loaner, so I thought maybe I would finally get good service. My car was returned and the only thing said was that the oil spots I noticed must have been old. Again no accountability, responsibility, apology, or follow up from the service manager or the general manager...and my car is STILL LEAKING OIL!!! I have really tried to make it work with this dealership. Shame on me for trying to keep it local. Midwest Toyota Ford is the absolute worst place to take your vehicle for any maintenance or repairs. Even under new management, avoid this place - it's a waste of time and money. read more

I just had to take my Toyota in for a recall. It is a 40 mile round trip to get there from where I live. They would not give me a loaner car for the 4 hours it was going to take to do the service work so I had to bring another vehicle and waste another 40 mile round trip. If I had not brought another vehicle I would have been stuck there. 4 hours of time and 80 miles of driving for what ? So Toyota could waste my time and gas so the dealership could make money off all of this. I love my Toyota vehicle but service at the last 2 dealerships I have been to have been TERRIBLE !!! Would I recommend this to anyone? I don't think so. read more

I took my car in to get it running again and the final bill was over $1400 (which was fine)I purchased new tires as well. Fast forward 2 months and I notice I have a flat tire, so I take my car in to get it fixed thinking it was just a nail, only to find out that they NEVER PUT THE NEW TIRES ON. I was driving around for 2 months all over the state on bald worn out tires. I am lucky that nothing catastrophic happened,.Then just this past weekend, I am driving and hear a bunch of thumping sounds thinking I got another flat, or that my tire was rubbing against the well, only to find out that two bolts holding my tire on had been tightened so tight that they snapped and my tire was barely hanging on. Once again, I am counting my blessings that nothing catastrophic had happened. If this is the type of negligent service that they provide for all of their customers, one of these days someone is going to get severely hurt or killed. read more

BEWARE!! Not an honest business! They will not stand behind their work. Bought a set of tires at this place. The tires were either bad or the alignment was not done properly or not at all to start with. Took the car back several times to correct the issue to no avail. This business flat out said they wouldn't replace them despite being under warranty. They advised we would have to go through the tire company and try and get a refund that way, but probably not likely. Horrible customer service! They did however offer to sell us a new set of tires (of course) and send in the defective set for us. We were forced to go to another business in which they advised we shouldn't be driving on these tires. Very poor customer service, dishonest, and poor management. They lost our business and I'm sure will lose many more customers. read more
