The store owner is so pretty and super nice, I told her what I needed and my budget, she picked a few items that fit my need and budget, I just had to pick the styles that I like. She told me what tiles for which room will make it look bigger, smaller, brighter, dimmer. It's a one stop shop, I ended up buying everything I needed to furnish my condo. I would never recommend Peter/Emerald Doors…read more I needed one door to be replaced in my apartment. I contacted Peter in early January. He assured me that it would be a quick job, that he would get the custom door made and then installed by one of his guys, no problem. Without going into the details, it's been almost two months and I have an unpainted, wrong-sized door...and I am still waiting for the job to be completed. Throughout this saga, Peter never proactively checked in with me. He ended up dropping the project entirely and gave it to Gio. Peter did offer to refund my deposit but assured me that the project would be finished....If I hadn't been on top of Peter to see this through, I doubt he would've contacted me to give any updates. Overall, Peter was entirely unprofessional, uncommunicative and disrespectful. I appreciate that this was a small project - but why agree to take it on if they weren't able to complete it in a relatively timely matter? His colleague Gio is a nice guy, more responsive...and I'm just hoping that he'll be able to see this through and make it right. Peter certainly couldn't care less.

For the first installation, we had a couple of hiccups with my ordering the wrong door, door frame etc, but Peter went out of his way to make sure that everything worked out well. On this same job, he even undercharged us, and ate the cost which shows how much integrity he has. He is more than just a door installer, he made sure that our doors were up to code with the various departments (again going above and beyond) was extremely responsive whenever we had questions and concerns. The prices are also absolutely reasonable and I knew I was not getting ripped off or taken by Peter. When we choose to install two more doors, he was the first person we called. Again, it was a pleasure working with him. He didn't rush us at all, was completely patient and honest. Vito Tile Depot was one of the few stores we went to that has tile on site as well as a show room rather than just a show room. They have close out tile for as little as $2/square foot as well as high end pieces like the other fancy show rooms. My favorite part of Vito Tile Depot was that they actually have prices on most of their tile so you don't have to ask for prices on every piece you MIGHT be interested in. There was a very friendly girl who greeted my husband and I when we walked in then Vito came out to introduce himself and offer us espresso. Don't waste your time going to the stores with fancy show rooms where you'll get the exact same tile but for much higher prices than what Vito Tile Depot has to offer!
