Absolutely best service provided by not coming. I'll explain. We have a 20+ year old Whirlpool refrigerator that developed an almost constant drip out of the cold water dispenser. After a growing frustration with it, then checking both Next Door and Yelp, I decided to call Ricardo. He was awesome to chat with about the issue. He was willing to drive out to us and check it, and we were willing to pay the service charge. At his suggestion, he had me text him photos, including the model number and serial number. He called me back a few hours later. He had researched the issue and determined original parts are no longer available. (I had researched separately and had come to the same conclusion.) Ricardo added that in his experience, the aftermarket replacement parts are not the same quality and have been problematic. His recommendation was to plan on replacing the refrigerator if we still wanted that capability. No charge for his time. It was a great experience and highly recommend him. read more

I give the absolute highest recommendation to Mighty Appliance Repair. Ricardo provided the highest level of service, from communication to punctuality to knowledge to value. He is very cordial and I'll say it again, extremely knowledgeable in his field. We had him come out to diagnose our dishwasher. He ran some diagnostics and determined that the circuit boards were bad. He explained that our unit (GE) had a track record for these failures. He gave us a price quote and was honest in telling us that it was not out of the realm of possibility that the same thing could happen again. When we asked about just replacing the dishwasher he had recommendation of brands that he felt were better than GE for dishwashers. And while he doesn't sell or install them himself, he actually looked up some units online that he thought might work for us. A year ago, I messaged Ricardo and two other appliance repair companies through Yelp to help me fix my refrigerator. The refrigerator was not getting cold enough, but the freezer was staying cold. He was the only one who responded, but at a reasonable price. I was able to make an appointment right away. He assessed my fridge very quickly, but needed to run to buy a new fan. In the meantime, he let me try out his contractor grade steam cleaner to melt the ice around the old fan, clean the freezer, and even clean the grime behind my fridge. He came back almost too soon (I was having too much fun with the steam cleaner) and quickly fixed the fan. My kitchen was clean and put back together when he was done. A bit later, I can't remember if it was an hour or more, I was concerned that the new fan wasn't adequate. I texted him and he responded right away. He had other calls and couldn't return, but he let me know what to look out for. It turned out that the refrigerator had just needed a little more time and Ricardo didn't need to return. Now, it's a year later and the refrigerator is still working great. My fingers are crossed that we won't need him to come back for this or another appliance, but I'll definitely call him if we do.
