My fridge was leaking lots of water and drip pan was overflowing!Found Jaime on Yelp and based on reviews, I gave him a call. He came out the next morning, replaced the water line to the fridge and explained that the line had been "repaired" instead of replaced. For reference, It had been a few years since the repair had been done so it lasted for a while. With this replacement, I'm good to go for another 20+ years at least. My fridge is an old 2004 Kenmore Elite side-by-side. They don't make them like they used to so it has held up with just minor replacements along the way. Thanks Jaime for keeping it going! My 15ish year old Whirlpool overflow fridge went on the fritz and wasn't cooling right, and there was ice build-up on the back wall of the inside of the bottom freezer drawer. I scanned the Yelp reviews and due to the very high ranking, I went with Fix-it. After submitting my request, Jaime called and said he could be out later that day. Upon arrival, he quickly identified the control board had died and gave me a quote. I guess I wasn't paying enough attention, as I assumed he'd have to order the part and return another day to install it. Nope, he had it on his Truck and installed it before leaving. I did remember him saying to leave it unplugged for at least 2-3 days. 3 days later I texted to see what the ETA was, and he told me he installed on his original visit, lol. Jamie did an excellent job repairing my refrigerator, it was a complete everything repair and he recommended I just replace it. The space it is in is very limited as what will fit there. It ended up I could not find one to fit that wasn't worse than the one I already had. I just decided to pay the money and have a complete overhaul done on my old one. My refrigerator died on me. I took a chance on Fix-it and I have to say it was a nice experience. I called and left a message on the voicemail and Jaime called me back within a few minutes. I called him Friday afternoon, and had a 9:00am-11:00am appointment window for Saturday morning. He got here at 9:00am! He and his coworker were very nice, helpful and honest. He advised us to get a new refrigerator because it was leaking freon, and to repair it would be at least $1,000. Outstanding service! Jaime replied to my yelp post for malfunctioning refrigerator early in the morning and let me know possibly between 9am and 1pm. Fine. A bit later, another customer backed out making an immediate opportunity for me. Jaime and assistant were there after about 10 minutes. I had emptied and de-powered the machine overnight, re-powering it in the morning (and erasing trouble-shooting cues) He found a couple of issues with the defrost system and replaced the offending parts. The charge was very, very reasonable reasonable. Where to start? I noticed my fridge wasn't cooling and looked up appliance repair and started a quote on Yelp from several companies. Jaime wrote me back almost immediately - at around 9 pm. My refrigerator was leaking water and I did not know how to fix it. I could not close the water either because apparently my water valve was too old and needed a tool to tight it up in order to.
