DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE I am so disappointed that I had to bring my 1yo old here for his 12mo checkup and I'm glad that we never took him here before at the first place. Let me share you guys a story. Back in May 2023, I didn't know that we're supposed to have a physician for our newborn and he needs to be checked as soon as we get out. I called the clinic and I was answered by her assistant/receptionist who seemed liked she didn't know what to do as I told her that I have a newborn and the hospital is asking for a clinic/MD for assurance that he is going to get checked and have an appointment already. Thankfully due to her unprofessionalism, we chose a different MD. After a year, my newborn's original physician couldn't take us no more since he has 2 insurance and one of them can't be accepted in OC. We didn't have a choice so we decided to give Mighty Kidz a try again. Front staff was okay, but the medical assistant was so stale. Wasn't welcoming, and had that "i'm only doing this because I need a job" aura. Who knows, maybe she was having a bad day. Now let's get to the physician, Dr Carigma finally walked in our room and for a first time patient, she didn't even bother introducing herself to us and started blabbing and questioning why we have 2 insurances and having 2 insurance can cause problems bla bla bla. Like girl, wtf is your problem? So she went on and started checking our little one, she goes "everything looks good." Well great, then I mentioned to her that our previous Doctor was concerned with his testicles having some fluid. So I asked her how's his testicles and she just answered me rudely that "I told you everything is fine." I'm like okay whatever, great! Then she went ahead and mentioned which vaccines we're getting and gave us a binder to have us read if we have any questions. LOL!!! I'm not gonna go off on some of the other details with our experience with Carigma but here comes her MA again with the shots. She had us lay our baby and didn't even bother showing us which shots she's giving. I don't know, maybe we just got spoiled with his previous physician but we are definitely cancelling the other insurance and going back with our little one's original MD. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!!! You won't feel the care you're seeking especially for a first time parent. read more

This practice is absolutely horrible. Dr Cecilia Carigma was too busy disciplining my child and took less time treating him. My son was sick, scared and crying she greeted a four year old by saying. "Why are you crying your scaring all the kids" Went on to further elaborate telling him "There are kids here younger than you and they're not crying and screaming." Then topped it off with "are you gonna say thank you and sorry?" The entire appointment centered around her shaming my son and less around her actually treating him. The worst bed side manner I've ever witnessed in my life especially while addressing a sick scared child. Avoid this place at all costs! A nightmare on all levels especially while dealing with a sick child. Some serious sensitivity training is needed. There was a major lack of respect and care. read more

In my personal opinion the current of medical care and the medical industry as a whole is in a sorry state for this Country. The independently owned and operated medical clinics where the doctor treated one patient for decades is going extinct, being replaced by large medical groups who's priority isn't patient treatment or well being but rather profit maximizing and liability avoidance. This equates to large medical groups that can only "fit" a sick patient into their schedules 2 weeks out once you call in for an appointment after someone becomes sick. I understand covid has played in part in this but this is something that's occurred long before covid appeared and will continue on for as long as I can see. I'm happy to say that Dr. Carigma's office is one of the final places where I believe one can receive top notch medical care for their children without having to wait for weeks for an appointment. She's polite, courteous and great with kids and best of all from what I can see she owns her medical clinic and as such has an invested interest in ensuring she provides the best care possible for her patients. I'll be bringing my child to Dr. Cargima for as long as possible and I hope that she keeps her medical offices open for patient such as us for long as she can. read more

As most mothers, I'm really picky about who I want my daughter's pediatrician to be. We moved to Mighty Kidz after having a terrible experience with our previous pediatrician in long beach. I actually heard about Mighty Kidz by one of my co-workers but never really considered it because.. Well, not a lot of people know about it yet. But let me tell you why I love this place so much... - It's literally 2 minutes away from where I live. Which is highly convenient with the fact that if my daughter all of a sudden catches a cold or anything that might catch my concern to take her to the doctors, we won't be too far away from help. - Secondly, they have a very clean environment with friendly staffs. At the previous pediatrician I went to, the staff would NEVER remember who we were.. Even if we came back the next day, they still don't remember us & they don't even try to interact with us or ask what is our concern. Which reminds me.... Waiting time! At mighty Kidz, their time is very efficient. We don't sit in the waiting room for more than 20 minutes even if there are other visitors waiting as well. And lastly, Dr. Cecilia Carigma really takes the time to get to know you & your child. Which I think is highly essential to be a great pediatrician. She lets us know what we should expect in our daughter's stage of development. She gives us detailed answers to the questions we have. She gives us brief explanations for all the medications & immunizations that are to be given. & when she is with us, she lets us know we have her attention & she takes the time with our daughter. I'm glad I made the switch & I really hope more people will look into this business! read more

This is the best clinic I have ever been to. We had to leave about 9 months ago due to a change in insurance and we have gone through 3 different pediatricians since then and can't seem to find a clinic or doctor that comes even close to this one. All 3 of my kid's were coming here since they were born and I really didn't know what I was missing until it was gone. The staff are kind and professional. The clinic is very clean. They always make space for you when needed. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable, warm and accommodating. I can't speak highly enough about Mighty Kidz. I hope some day we can return. I couldn't even get my son in to be seen! The staff was the worst I have come across to date. The most incompetent people I have ever dealt with. My son needed to be seen, after 3 calls and asking my mother to bring him him, he waited for the staff and doctor to say that the parents need to bring the child for the first appointment. Why wasn't that communicated in the 3 calls I had with them telling them that my mother would be bringing my son? Really? Then the doctor proceeds to tell me that my son and parents are welcome to wait the 2 hours until I am off work and can be there to sign paperwork. If I could I'd give it ZERO STARS! assigned my son to this place because of the reviews and because I moved to Norwalk and when I went in the staff were talking had piles of paperwork everywhere the office looked a mess and told me they were booked and couldn't fit my son in for a check up even though I told them he had a fever and needed someone to see him. They had the audacity to tell me if I wanted to make an appointment 2 weeks from that day. Why would I book an appointment 2 weeks later when my son had a high fever.? Makes no sense. Dr. Cecilia is a horrible dr in my opinion I had very bad experience with her I gave her serval opportunity's I lasted a year with her now I'm with Kaiser thank god but. I took in my 22 month old daughter due to she had fever for the past 3 days fever of 103 would go down and up. I was able to get an appointment to take my daughter in at the time fever went down. So I went in and Dr supposedly examine her. So she tells me your daughter is completely fine nothing is wrong is just a virus and she will wear it off. Dr denied to give me antibiotics for any type of virus my daughter had. I also explained that my daughter grabbed her ears a lot and cry cry cry so I think it's a ear infection and she said nope your daughter is Fine NOTHING is wrong with her. Any who I took my daughter to med post urgent care that same afternoon after I walked out of that fucken place! Excuse my language I'm just very upset. And DR from urgent care told me that my daughter has a very bad ear infection dr from urgent care told me that's the reason for fever and fuzziness. Dr gave me antibiotics and after that my daughter got better. But please don't take your kids here she doesn't pay attention to the kids correctly read more

We were force to find a new doctor after my kids pediatrician who they had been seeing for over 10yrs suddenly passed away. I came across Mighty Kidz Pediatrics and decided to give it a try. Pleased with our first time visit, the staff was very nice and friendly, Dr.Carigma was great. Not sure if it's normal but our wait time was very minimal, it could have just been the time of day we had our visit. And a very big plus that it's 5min away from home. What I don't get is why a doctor would hire front office staff that sits around and gossips, complain about their job and customers. I was really looking forward to taking the kids here - drove all the way from long beach due to all of the 5-star reviews. I am in the process of adopting my niece and nephew and took them here for annual physical. Even though I had CA DCFS paperwork that showed my name as their guardian I was still forced to drive all the way back home to print the official court documentation. They failed to communicate this to me when I made the appointment and it caused a hour of wasted time. The 4 year old was due for four immunizations. I requested the immunizations be spread out over two visits vs. doing all 4 at once and the doctor laughed at me like I was an idiot. what do you know, within 5 days he had a fluctuating fever which was clearly caused by 1, or more, of the immunizations. When I called their office I was brushed off saying he was probably just sick and it was not related and weren't willing at all to see us to confirm. I had to remind them that I thoroughly read the immunization paperwork they provided and all 4 had possible side effects of fever. Still, they would not see us and we ended up in the emergency room on Thanksgiving as the fever would not go down from 104. Overall the staff and doctor were pretty rude during the few interactions I have had with them. It is very unlikely I will be taking the kids back here. read more

I took my daughter yesterday for a check-up/new patient appointment. The staff was very nice and professional. The doctor spent a good deal of time with us and addressed all concerns while examining my baby from head-to-toe. We just moved to the area and I am so happy to have found a great pediatrician so close. I went here because of the great reviews but it's not great. Most of the nurses are nice but the place is not that clean, the chairs and sinks were dirty. The waiting room is small so if there is a sick kid there, everyone else waiting will be exposed to them. I was not impressed with Dr. Carigma. My baby had reflux and even though I was exclusively breastfeeding, she told me it was because I was over feeding my baby even though she had no idea how much I was producing. So I tried to cut back on feeding my baby and it did not go well, she was crying much more. I went to another pediatrician who said it's almost impossible to over feed a newborn with breast milk and you should not put them on a diet. So basically my baby was hungry the days I followed Dr. Carigma's advice. Go to Dr. Amy Tran instead. She is wonderful and will not give you bad advice! read more

I love this place we swiched pediatricians like two weeks ago because of our insurance i was not to happy but when i meet dr.Carigma she amazed me she was so good with my child she explained everything perfectly.
