What a service. What a class. What great people. I wasn't even correctly enrolled in the class and Kritin accommodated let me stay for the class. I was excited to be taking a class in wordpress that was so highly rated. I had taken other wordpress classes at adult education facilities previously, but they were nowhere near as informative and productive as the Web weekend at Mighty Minnow. I was one of the few that did not have a completed website by the end of the class, but that is because I am insisting on a very complex site with upwards of a hundred pages and e-commerce. So Worth the Investment! The MIGHTYminnow "Website Weekend" class was one of the most valuable investments I have made as a small business owner. I enjoy being intimately involved in the design elements that create our public image, including our website, and I was reluctant to give full control of that (and the budget for it) to a web-designer. After two intense days of instruction, I graduated from the Website Weekend class with a website that looks professional and cutting edge, and I learned the skills that will enable me to expand or change the site as we grow (and add pages, change images and layout, add blogs, etc.) Kristin is a natural teacher, and her ability to lead the class (at the right pace) and impart huge volumes of knowledge without overwhelming anyone or leaving anyone behind was impressive. She was able to give guidance to our class that helped all of us improve the visual elements of our websites. So my business got sucked into the whole Flash trend in 2007 which now means that it is crazy expensive to update our website and people can't fully access the website on smart phones. Not cool. In comes, Mighty Minnow, whose specialty is designing websites in wordpress making it user friendly, easy to update, and technically savvy so that our social media campaign can correlate well with our website. We had a meeting with Kristin to go over the scope of the project in detail. She took an hour with us to go over their process and explain our different options for working with them. I went from being a complete moron to a web genius in a weekend. Ok maybe not a total genius but I knew nothing and now I know everything I need to know to launch and maintain my own website for my photography.
