This supermarket is about the third the size of a U.S. supermarket but they had an excellent chocolates section, fresh meat, terrific looking produce and they save me with ready-made salads. The cashiers and employees were extremely helpful and if you were not able to make it to the confectionery store this lace will do in a pinch. If you want to, perhaps bring salami, salad and a bottle of Pellegrino (very cheap) to your room "just in case" (as I am prone to do) this is the place.

It's open early and open til late (6am-10pm is late). They're one of the few businesses that's open on Sundays. Switzerland is known to be the most expensive country to visit which is absolutely true. Most go to Coop as a "hack" by buying food here instead of going to restaurants. Food is affordable here. They have deli meats, jamon Iberico, baked goods, arancini, cakes, pastries, pizza, sushi, sashimi, cups/ bowls of fruit, etc. I came here the first time to grab snacks like chips, Barebells and drinks. They were giving away protein shakes right next to the checkout counters. You do have to pay for shopping bags. If you need utensils, you have to pay for that too. The second time I was here was to get bandaids. The staff was helpful in pointing me to the right direction. Third visit was to compare prices for chocolates. I got Lindt chocolates for cheaper at Lindt Home of Chocolate.

Migros was a solid option to get souvenirs (like chocolates and things), and also lunches pastries drinks etc. They have a great selection of fresh produce, and they also have some serve yourself salad and pastry bars, ready to go salad and pasta boxes, fresh bread, lots of variety of sodas and kombucha, ice cream etc... Pasta boxes and pastries range from 3 CHF to 10 CHF - drinks around the same range, bread as well about 3-6 CHF - if you get an Airbnb or hotel room with a kitchenette you can make breakfasts to save on picking up something from Starbucks (which could set you back about 10-15 CHF for 2 items). They selection of chocolates, esp the Toblerone variety with honey and almond nougat, was a standout and we stocked up big on presents for folks back in the US. They also set us back only 1.45 chf, so total bargain. We also got some good organic muesli, better than the ones at Avia. We also got a half-chicken for takeaway dinner at 7.50chf (good, but omg. So. Salty) Now, the restaurant. It had a 5-6 food stations (and a free loo!) we skipped over the Italian, Chinese and carvery and went for the hot vegetarian choices. Got a large to go box (14.95 chf) and filled it with awesome zucchini, green beans, rustic potatoes and spatzli (so good!). We also got x1 chocolate torte for 3.65 chf (the cream tasted so fresh, I felt like the cow had been milked in the morning) and a raspberry patisserie that my mum loved. Most tourists come here to get food at the fraction of the cost from eating at restaurants. I was getting tired of eating Swiss food so, I went here since I know they have pretty much everything. Sandwiches, deli meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, fruit cups, fruit bowls, sushi, pastries (both sweet and savory), pizza, salads, octopus salad, shrimps, salmon tartare, Mediterranean food, Middle Eastern food, chicken breast, samosas. Pastas you can reheat. It's also a good place to get some Swiss snacks, drinks, protein bars and ice cream. I grabbed sushi, salad and chicken breast. You do have to pay for utensils. The bad: the cashier was rude and was rushing us at the self-checkout counter - nobody needs your help, nobody needs your attitude. Like if you're bored and there's nobody in line, go make yourself useful and do something else. The rice on the sushi was a lot and it was dry which made it worse. The fish was thinly sliced. I tossed half of the rice.

I couldn't even get around to reading them all due to the immense options available & also having a cheese huus where you can go in and grab many cheese samples and purchase MORE cheese! Now, if you're looking to have a great lunch, go to the Coop restaurant for a pay-by-plate price and each day they have different menu options so you can have something unique everyday of the week if you wanted to! On the days where they offer fish n' chips... don't skip it! The fish nuggets have a dill batter & they come with fresh tartar sauce! Need I say more? I had a fantastic experience here & have found myself frequenting this location weekly.
