Friendly service, but the picture of their website of enchiladas does not compare to the box of food. I took home.. I don't know how these cheese enchiladas are their top seller. I guess I should've known better when I saw there was only one table at dinner time. I should've paid attention to the review that said don't bother with the enchiladas sorry folks tasteless and terrible the $9 German chocolate cake wasn't much better. This is where I eat when I travel though Crystal City during lunch time. I've always had a pleasant meal & have received good service. My favorite menu items include the soups, carne asada, fajitas & chalupas. I really like the chips & salsa here too! The chips aren't greasy at all & the salsa is perfect! read more

Not as bad as I was expecting based on the reviews. There was a foul order in the entrance area which was pretty off setting. We went for lunch and arrived right before a little rush. Got seated promptly and had our drink order taken. The waitress was really nice and brought out everything as we had asked for. We ran out of chips and she didn't refill them but we didn't ask. But the extra salsa came out quickly when we requested them. Their red chips salsa is pretty good. I had the lunch chicken enchiladas which tasted pretty good. They could have used much more sauce though. The ends of my enchiladas were dry and tough probably since not sauce got to that part. They were rolled small like taquito size so if you want something more filling, the dinner size might be a better choice. I was a little underwhelmed with their refried beans, it's what I look forward to on my dishes so I was disappoint at the bland flavor. But the rice was flavored decently. I was in town and was in the mood for Mexican. This place looks ok on the outside but that's where it stops. Do not waste your time or money on this place. When you walk in they just look at you with this blank stare like why are you here. After several people walked by and looked at me (without a greeting by the way) I was finally spoken to. Once seated, the normal chips and salsa arrived. As it was a very small portion we went through them quickly. Upon asking for more chips to go with our nearly full bowl of salsa we were told there would be a three dollar charge for a new basket of chips. What????? Who charges for more chips? The salad was quite small and they also only give one refill on soft drinks. Fajita steak was like chewing rubber. Overall stay away!!! I'm only giving this one star because I have to. read more

The cinco nachos are great with ground beef. The frozen margaritas and beersoriata are good too, but I have had better. The service is not great. Just like the other reviews have stated. Out of town for work here and there is really no other option in this town. read more

Honestly was not as bad as the people I know who experienced the 2nd location on the same night. I was expecting much better Mexican food this close to the border. The hot sauce was bland. The waitress told us it would be awhile but food came out rather quick. Decent sized portions. We had 6 people in our group and everyone ordered something different. The most disappointing being the shrimp fajitas. Looked like the prefrozen popcorn shrimp you find at HEB. Honestly was just an below average Mexican place. And if you have a larger vehicle, park in the back. I got blocked in and had to Austin Powers it to get out! read more

I was trying to be understanding since we are having to order and pick up orders because of Covid-19 but this is the second time this situation has happened and it's not ok. I placed an order to go. A burger, enchilada plate and some margaritas, they said 20 minutes. i put a timer on and after 20 minutes i drove to the restaurant. I get there and call to let them know i'm outside, they say my order isnt ready yet but they will check on it and let me know. Now going on 30minutes after i've placed my order still no food and when i call to ask what the status on my order is no one answers. 40 minutes from the time i placed the order still no food. We finally left and went to DQ. What's really sad is that no one even called us to apologize or ask if we were still waiting, just nothing. Now mind you the parking lot only had 1 other car waiting for their food. This was the second time this same scenario happened. Do they just not care? Why not call and let us know the status of our order. Don't just have your guests waiting in their vehicle hoping that someone will come out with an order that's for them. read more

This place is awful. Different menus for different clientele. $3 for refill on sparse chips. Terrible service. Wouldn't take credit card, "is broken", which we felt was simply a lack of wanting to take a credit card and pay the fee. Next time, go to Pizza Hut or anything besides this place. read more

We too arrived and stood their while wait staff looks at you funny while they walk by and ignore you We ordered 2 margaritas and fajitas for two and were their waiting for everything all night long we were their for over 11/2 hours Wait for chips, wait for margaritas that contained no tequila, wait for food first to arrive were beans and rice with a side of shredded lettuce? 12 minutes later fajitas arrived with no tortillas we waited asked our waiter and he said he had no control over what happens in Kitchen and was sorry after another 5 minute my friend went to retrieve tortillas herself and had 2 packs of store bought tortillas flung at her from the kitchen thru the window. The fajitas were also delivered with no condiments. We each made only one taco each as the skillet was mainly covered with onions and their was not enough meat to make another. Cinco with meat turned out to be about a dollar a piece. Got charged $1.20 for a side of sour cream. Non-meat cinco were beans cheese guac for 8+ We will not return again even though once the server finally realized she had a table she apologized and "rushed" the food order. Took 3 friends for dinner. Boy was that a mistake. Wait staff ignored us standing at the hostess station. Waited 20 minutes for a table which wasn't bad, got seated and it went from ok to bad in a heart beat. It took the waitress 20 minutes to get our drink order. Took another 20 minutes to get the drinks, ordered an order of cincos and that took 30 minutes. Finally the waitress came to get our dinner order, brought 3 of the plates out took another 20 minutes to get the 4th order which were fajitas. Had to ask for tortillas to go with the fajitas, after 15 minutes the waitress brought 1 tortilla out. Ordered another round of drinks that sat on the bar till the Ritas went from frozen to on the rocks with no rocks found chunks of plastic from the blender in the drinks. Sent them back were told that the blender had a problem we all asked for water which tasted like it came from the commode. Got to see a large group argue and complain about the service and quality of the food. Sat for another 30 minutes for a check that never came, had to get up and go to the casher to pay and she had an attitude. Have been eating there for years it's sad that this is the best place to eat in Crystal City, won't go back. Drive an hour in any direction and you will get a better meal and better service. I have to disagree with many of the reviews. We went on a Friday night, service was good, meal was great. I had the Miguelito mixed plate with tostada, taco, enchilada, green chili, rice and beans - excellent. My wife had the concarne asada plate which was a really tender, tasty steak with rice and beans, different than what we are used to in Arizona but really good. Would definitely eat here again. read more
