They have a very organized and efficient system. Patrick and his crew are very professional where they prepped all the rooms and areas before painting and drywall repair so everything is kept clean neat and orderly. Afterwards, they vacuumed and cleaned up the rooms so everything is left tidy and we did not have to pick up after them. The advantage of having Patrick and his crew is that they are very efficient and worked well as a team. They did all the work within a day which made it convenient for us to have our house back quickly so we can assume our daily lives. This is what greatly differentiates him from other Painters. A couple of weeks later, I was told they never received it and that I needed to pay online (which wasn't an option before). I paid online, and about a week later my original check was cashed. I contacted SSC immediately to let them know I'd been double-charged and asked for a refund. That was three weeks ago. After saying he'd credit me via Venmo, the main contact has gone completely silent. Being double-charged and then ignored is unacceptable. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I live in California now, and rent my condo out. Matt took all the stress off my plate. Due to the damages, I had to have flooring and sub flooring taken out and reinstalled, walls opened up, repaired, new cabinets, new paint throughout the condo, reinstall a granite countertop, a new backsplash, along with electric and plumbing work...he took care of either doing or coordinating it all. Long story short, my skylight leaked on the night that my baby was due. After I had to deal with all the hospital things, I started to call roofers around my location to repair the roof. It turned out that it is the busiest time of the season for roof repair and almost no one got back to my message and those who did, they can't help me until December! I forgot how many calls I had to make but John called me back 10 minutes after I left my voice message. He understood my situation with a newborn baby, his partner Mark came to examine my skylight the next day morning and then started to schedule a date foe the fix. Although there were couple days were raining, the repair got postponed a little but the crew came as soon as the sky was clear. The crew arrived even earlier than the scheduled time. They took a more detailed look into the damaged area and explained to me how they are going to fix it. So the previous home owner installed a wrong type of skylight for this roof and also used asphalt sealant for rubber roof which damaged the rubber very bad. As you can see in photo 4-6, the wood frame was damaged by water. That's how the water came into my house. They replaced the correct skylight for my roof and re-did the rubber with the appropriate sealant. Greg, the technician, made a new wood frame for me and made sure every corner is sealed as you can see in photo 1 - 3. The crew is very knowledgeable and professional. They understand that roof problem is very time sensitive so they try their best to fix it for you! I definitely recommend Murphy and Son to everyone. p.s. As I mentioned, there were rainy days which delayed the repair. Mark helped me put a temporarily cover over the damaged area so the water wouldn't make further damaged. Another Plus!

WARNING... If the home owner pulls the permits instead of the contractor the home owner becomes responsible not the contractor so it puts all liabilities on the homeowner. Contractors love this scenario ! When the homeowner obtains a building permit they are not eligible to access the Guaranty Fund established by the Home Improvement Law, M.G.L. c142A. This fund was created to protect homeowners from losses incurred as a result of contractor or sub-contractor work performed in a poor or un-workmanlike manner, or work that is in violation of common law or not up to code. RUN from any contractor that demands you to pull permits instead of them . Now I am receiving a threat letter that they are going to take legal action against me because I gave them this bad review and I did not even hire them???????? Can you imagine if I did! Oh by the way I did hire a contractor to repair my roof, and he has no problem pulling the building permits and is registered with HIC ......you know a true professional.

Do not hire Elite Installations…read more Elite Installations was nothing short of a nightmare. After a flood in our home while we had a 21-month-old and a 6-week-old they appeared to be doing things correctly. We later realized that was only because we were stuck in a hotel and couldn't see the shortcuts they were taking. They took advantage of a young family, trying to get back in their home. Fast-forward a year, and the truth came out: - They put the wrong carpet in one of our rooms. I will blame postpartum fog for not saying something sooner. - They installed our toilet in blatant violation of MA plumbing code, it wasn't even secured to the floor. This is basic, entry-level competence they couldn't manage. - they installed hardwood floors that warped and when they replaced it with LVT, they dint remove all the hardwood and now 1.5 years later it's warping again. - They did multiple other things incorrectly, and after constantly following up with them for 5 months, they did ultimately fix them. Despite constantly hyping themselves up on Facebook and recommending themselves at every turn, our experience proved they are not honest, they cut corners whenever possible, and they absolutely do NOT stand behind their work once they're paid. Look up the reviews, look up the litigation against them (which are being added too regularly), our situation is unfortunately not unique. To be clear, I have given elite MULTIPLE opportunities to remedy these issues and they refuse. If you value your home, money, your time, or your sanity, stay far away from this company. They are the last people you want to trust with your home.
