The amount of inappropriate and judgemental comments was ridiculous. After doing a few songs, he sent me the worst versions/takes, raw. When I asked "ok, so I have these recordings, now how do I get them finished?" He says "oh I don't know. I don't do that." So I just wasted some hours in this guy's basement while he insulted my personal life with conspiracies, and all I got was really raw crappy takes of songs that I could have easily done on my phone and no recommendation on how to move forward with the material that we did record.

They wanted a down payment to book some time which is totally cool. I was ready to use my debit card. I even said I would come hand deliver CASH to him to book the studio time since he said he didn't accept debit. Which if you ask me is weird, it's 2021, who doesn't accept debit or credit as a form of payment. He insisted I use Venmo, Cash app or Paypal. I told him I didn't have any of those. I asked if he would send me the studio address. He declined to do so, he just kept asking for the down payment. Setting up an account on Venmo, Cash app or Paypal requires you to input your bank account information. I looked into it, but it takes up to a week to have your bank account information verified for use. I told him this, but he wasn't buying it. I'm not sure if he thought I was lying to him.... He seems like a good guy. But I wouldn't trust it. Literally, I asked like 12 times if I could just drop off cash to him directly. He only wanted a form of payment that was via an app. I've never met this guy and he wants me to input my SSN into an app for him. Hmmmmmmmmmmm P.s. If this was a legit company, why would the owner be requesting $100 for groceries and not studio time on the Cash app. I hope you make the right decision and don't trust this quote on quote 'company'

I can write chord progressions and songs, and my understanding and enjoyment of music in general has skyrocketed. This was the "aha!" moment for me, understanding that intervals between sounds are the basis for all music. I am going to go all the way out and say that I think she is the perfect piano teacher for anyone young or old, novice or expert. Chris' education and teaching background is beyond impressive. Trained at the prestigious Boston Conservatory, holds educational degrees and national certifications, has decades of experience teaching music and music theory. Yup, she is amazing. For me though, while her credentials elevate her to "heads above" others that I researched, it is only a part of what's important. I take hour long, one on one, private lessons each week at Chris' beautiful studio in Silverdale. Chris seems to truly be in her element when teaching. She consistantly allows me to be serious and steady, yet to go at a pace comfortable for me (while gently nudging me foward) and encouraging me to laugh along the way. It's magical. Although I am an older adult, and complete beginner, Chris has been providing me with piano education and lessons in a way that matches my level and has already proven to me that it is super cool to learn to read music and play piano. This really bothered us that in the initial meeting she would put her hands on my child and yell at her. I absolutely do not recommend this teacher for kids.
