I recently had to sell my house as part of a divorce. He was very laid-back when showing houses and would let us largely form our own opinions. I was interested in a town home they were leasing in Kyle, but after the run around they put me through I'm kind of glad it was already taken. I called their office to find out about the property and no one there knew anything about it. They said "let me give you two numbers to try of the two girls that might be dealing with that property". The first girl I called didn't answer and her voicemail was had no identifying information (very unprofessional, just a computer saying "512-xxx-xxxx is not available beep"). I called the next girl and she answered her phone but didn't know anything about the property. She gave me a lot of unnecessary information about how she couldn't help me at the moment because her laptop was at her house, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She told me she would call me back to set up a time to look at the property. When she called back it wasn't to set up a showing it was to ask me how to spell the name of the street the property is on!! I couldn't believe that . Then she called me back to say the property was taken. It took me over an hour and multiple phone calls to find that out. This business seems very unprofessional so I would warn anyone about to do business with them to proceed with caution! read more

Oh you mean the Godfather of Austin Real Estate? Mike Minns, yeeeeah he's the real deal. I am a recent transplant to Austin and currently looking to purchase my First home here. The QUALITY of reviews, the QUANTITY of reviews, and the FREQUENCY of the reviews lead me to believe that I'm going with the right guy; finally, experiencing his lightning fast responsiveness and top-notch service only validated this claim. I have yet to find the right home due to Austin's hypercompetitive market, but honestly, I only started aggressively looking just 2 weeks ago. One deal fell through already due to inspection which had nothing to do with Mike's service. Mike's team of professionals was super helpful finding structural and foundation issues of the house before we did anything stupid like actually go through with the purchase haphazardly. Dodged THAT bullet! You would think he would push to sell us that property considering how eager we were to buy it regardless of all the hidden issues. Noope! Mike is more concerned with getting you in the right home instead of a commission. He doesn't sugar coat anything nor downplay the cost of future repairs just so he can convince you to sign off on one of the biggest purchases of your life. That's not the type of service you will get. That's because he's more of a guide than a salesman. And a very good and responsive guide at that! He was responding to all our inquiries before, during, and after surgery! What you'll get is someone who prioritizes customer service--above all else. Throughout the entire process Mike was ridiculously patient. Never putting his two-cents in unless we asked him. So I highly encourage you to ask him anything. He's truly passionate about Austin and knowledgeable about trending neighborhoods and value-based neighborhoods--where they are and where they are heading. We never felt pressured to buy. If anything, he steered us away from money pits since he knew how much the immediate necessary repairs were going to cost and how that would affect us financially--short-term and long-term. It's easy to get caught up in Sale Price and lose site of the costs of the needed repairs. And if you are buying an older home in Austin (1970's) expect to budget for foundation repairs on top of that price. With Mike, he pretty much knows how much something is going to cost to fix since he too is a real estate investor in the Austin market. He'll give a a ball-park number for you to consider, and if he can't, he'll refer you to quality affordable contractors. His estimates are pretty spot-on. I value this the most about his service. He's a Real Estate Agent/Property Inspector/Real Estate investor/Good Person rolled up in one. He's never asked us to sign an Exclusive Buyer's Agent agreement, but he doesn't need to. He's our guy. And we'll be referring him to all are family and friends. I'll update this post once we have successfully closed with Mike just to give further insight into the service he provides.
