Mike's merchandise is a discount high-volume store. They have cheap goods that were not sold during the previous season from other merchants. For example, gingerbread houses left over from Christmas or for sale for $2.50 each and there were hundreds of them. Many, many of their items are in cardboard boxes that don't have accurate descriptions of what is inside. Warning: Be careful of buying electronics, tv's, coffee maker, etc. from this place. I bought my husband a Cuisinart coffee maker there at the end of May for Father's Day. I gave it to him on Fathers's day in June. By July 1st, it was no longer working. I take it back to Mike's Merchandise not to get a refund but get a store credit or another coffee pot. I showed them on my Region's debit card transaction where I bought it. It stated Mike Merch. I had thrown away my receipt. Had I known the coffee maker was only going to last a couple of weeks, I would had kept it. They would not get me store credit or another coffee maker. They just said we can't do any thing. I told them I had been a customer for years. They did not care. Please do not shop with them. They have bad business practices and do not care about the customers!!! I lost $71!!! read more

I heard lots about this store. There are a variety of items. Most seem to be overstock from well known retail brands chains. I saw many items from Sam's. The $5 clothing is cool. Don't make ANY major purchases from Here! I bought a $100 Christmas decoration in the box and went to set it up today and it did not work! They would not return, give store credit or exchange after telling me when I purchased it that they would if it didn't work! Dirty store, unfriendly employees and horrible customer service. Just don't even walk in the door. read more

This place has bargains but you may have to dig to find them. Lots of merchandise to choose from. Lots of boxes to dig through with clothing. I like a more organized way of looking than that. Prices vary as far as really good deals. Lots to choose from. read more

Went here after I heard they had HBCU merchandise here. Needless to say, I wish I knew earlier about their stock. A lot was gone but I was able to get a few items. Seems like a good discount place to visit. It is a discount store that is organized unlike some others. The staff is really friendly and was helpful in explaining how they operate. This place has gone downhill significantly since they stopped working alomgside that liquidation store, Crazy Cals or something like that. I went in over Christmas and again here recently and the shelves were bare besides junk and clothes here and there. Oh mikes, we used to be bffs but you have changed.... I have been coming to this location for years and used to be very impressed with their bargains and deals. As of recent, the last year, the prices have become ridiculous on damaged items, and items that have been sitting for weeks. Back in the day they would make you a deal but not anymore! Also, if you're paying with card you're SOL. They had a 3-5% charge for all card purchases on top of taxes. Anyways, I have found other bargain places to shop in light of these issues. read more

Loyal customer for years. Agreed to a price - when picking up the manager refused to honor the price. It was a good deal - understood. He then proceeded to blame his employee instead of taking accountability. The original TV I called to ensure would be held overnight - and it was sold. Manager refused to care we are a consistent revenue stream, demoralized.his employee, and then let me know u would pay an extra 350 for the unit. I took the moment to teach our son the difference between a leader and a manager. To his credit, it was just a kid. Hope he realizes he could and should have handled the situation better ... especially when ur concerns a 5 year old kids expectations. I have been in this store multiple times, and have been giving great deals just by the staff and honestly price tags in general. this time was not the best. I came In there to buy 2 expensive products and was given a "I'm sorry the price is firm" by the manager but yet have bought 2 car seats, a stroller and a vaccum with good pricing with no issue. I would also like to add there prices have went up tremendously which is WHY I asked could they do better on the pricing! just FYI this used to be my favorite store... no point in it anymore if pricing is almost as high as buying brand new! read more

I was told by a co worker about this place so me, my mom and Bubs decided to go look for fridges. This place is a huge warehouse type set up filled with all kinds of things from housewares, appliances, to tools etc. So many random and useful things. I'd be weary of food items and expiration dates! So several fridge options were there and looked to be in mint condition, most still in original packaging! We would have gotten one but delivery has to be within 10 miles and there's a $75 charge. Other than that, the place is still worth a look for other useful items! read more

I love this place. It can be incredibly busy and overwhelming at times so make sure you go with patience and maybe a mask. There are some great deals and some not so much, but finding those is part of the fun. What really made my experiences here great were the employees. Just this past week I came across two of the nicest girls at the counter who were busy and still took the time to address my concerns. I'm ready to go back! read more
