The crust was thin and crispy, piping hot cheese, just enough sauce. The toppings were fresh. The onion rings are just OK. Our party seemed very happy overall with the service. We kept commenting how professional and fast that Charlie was. I have never tried Alfano's Pizza which is insane considering they have been in Ottawa for decades, and Ottawa is my hometown. This is (according to my wife who has been to Naples in Italy) pizza the Napoletanese way. Thin crusts, interesting toppings, and different than mainstream American pizza. When we arrived we were promptly greeted at the door as we walked in, and given a choice of bar or dining room seating. We selected the dining room. Both areas were warm and comfortable, with the usual things in the bar (big screen TV) and dining room (art on the walls, nice tables and chairs, nice booths). We started with the Bagna Cauda, which was delicious. It seemed to be a little light on the garlic compared to my friend's version of the dish, but it was still good. The parking is free and pretty close to the door. I didn't see any designated handicap parking. Entering the establishment is pretty accessible as long as someone can open the door and help you up the one very small step to get in the door. The menu is pretty varied for a small bar serving appetizers, pizza, sandwiches and dinners. The night we were there they were not serving pizza so one of us ordered the shrimp dinner and the other ordered the spaghetti dinner adding a sausage and a meatball. The food came out pretty quick and hot. The shrimp was the prebreaded frozen variety and a couple were undercooked and couldn't be be eaten but other than that it was a tasty meal. The spaghetti had a homemade tasting sauce and the sausage and meatball was unique. The prices are very reasonable across the whole menu. They do have several gaming machines if you are into that.
