Jacob was our salesperson and was wonderful until we left the dealership. Drove the car home and noticed that the driver's side door would not unlock, forcing us to crawl in through the passenger side. Took the car back up there and was told by Jacob that we should expect those kind of issues with a car that we only paid $6,000 for. He became very rude and condescending. After loosing my shit because of his treatment, the manager finally agreed to repairing the locking mechanism. Because of the way I was treated after they got my money I checked the reviews, which I should have done before I went there, my stomach dropped when I realized how many people were sold lemons and had been scammed by them. Fast forward a few months later, my daughter got her licensed and was finally able to drive the car. Not even a few hundred miles later... the check engine light came on. Took the car to the Kia dealership and turns out that there is a failed Turbo and the replacement will cost me $4,679!!!!!!!!! They knew when they sold us the car that this was an issue. Please heed my advice and steer clear away from this place unless you want to take out loans getting repairs done after your purchase.

I brought my car to Applegate Chevrolet because the check engine light had come on. Shortly after…read moredropping it off, the service advisor called and explained that the issue was a faulty EVAP purge valve (purge pump). I was quoted approximately $103 for the part plus four hours of labor. Trusting their expertise, I authorized the repair. Afterward, I became curious about the labor time because four hours seemed unusually high for this type of repair. I did some research and found that the part is located on the top front of the engine and is readily accessible. Based on what I found, replacing it appears to be a relatively straightforward job that many mechanically inclined people could complete in well under an hour. When I picked up my vehicle, I respectfully raised my concerns with the service manager. He listened, acknowledged my concern, and said he would look into the labor charge and get back to me. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up. I then contacted Chevrolet Customer Care, who opened a case and attempted to contact the dealership on my behalf. According to Customer Care, they also never received a response from Applegate Chevrolet. My biggest disappointment isn't just the labor charge itself--it's the complete lack of follow-up and communication after I raised what I believe was a reasonable concern. If there was a legitimate reason for charging four hours of labor, I would have appreciated a clear explanation. Instead, my concerns were simply ignored. Based on this experience, I can't recommend Applegate Chevrolet's service department. Customers deserve transparent pricing, honest communication, and the courtesy of a response when they have questions about their bill.

Brought my…read more2023 Blazer in for a routine tire rotation and multi-point inspection -- the vehicle was called ready in just 18 minutes, and immediately after leaving, it shook violently. It turned out the front passenger lug nuts had not been properly torqued, which is a serious safety failure that could have caused a serious accident. On a follow-up visit, a head gasket oil leak was identified -- something that should have been caught during the original "multi-point inspection" if it had actually been done thoroughly. When I asked whether the vehicle was safe for an upcoming out-of-state trip, I was essentially told it was fine to travel, with no real urgency communicated, despite this being a leak that in my opinion warranted more than a quick visual and dye check. At no point did this service department proactively flag any of these issues to me -- I had to push for answers every step of the way. Compare that to another local dealership I contacted, which offered a loaner vehicle and said they'd work through the weekend if needed to get me back on the road safely. Applegate offered none of that same consideration or urgency. Between the safety incident, the missed diagnosis, and the lack of accommodation, I no longer have any confidence in this service department. I would think twice before bringing a vehicle here.

My last used car dealership experience was in 2011 and it was a nightmare - so I was understandably hesitant to walk into Al Serra Pre Owned Vehicles. That feeling went away almost instantly - the salesperson I worked with (Justin F) greeted me with such genuine enthusiasm and seemed excited to find me a car I loved. Finding the car was easy - I was a difficult buyer to get approved for financing, though. Justin and Roby in billing both were so patient, kind and helpful. I felt like they really fought for me to be approved and ultimately they succeeded and were able to go above and beyond expectations with terms etc. I made sure to let them know in person, too, but I hope they see this review so they can hear it again - THANK YOU SO MUCH! I felt taken care of, appreciated and seen as an individual - not just another customer coming through the doors of a very busy dealership. I ended up calling Mobile Shine on a weekend and he was able to get me in the next day, at a reasonable price. The car covered in bugs and grime on the outside, and goldfish crackers and other kid-nastiness on the inside, looked nearly new when Adam was done with it. I didn't think to take pics, wish I had. Unfortunately we were unable to check the CarFax until a few hours after the sale. The CarFax showed a history of "severe damage" accident/repair. With this type of vehicle, this CarFax report substantially lowers the value of the vehicle (by at least $25,000) and makes it extremely difficult to resell. As a dealer, JMB Auto Sports KNEW about the CarFax and DELIBERATELY did not disclose it. That is fraud. Their claim that I got the car "far under market" and I should have done my due diligence, while factually correct, does not free them from their duty to disclose and in fact proves that they KNEW about the CarFax report. When we called them out on it, they refused to unwind the deal or offer any concessions and did not reply to any of our communications. That does not even begin to cover the various Christmas lights on the car when we received it, which required about $2,500 in diagnostics and repairs. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as the state AG for consumer fraud. Do not do business with these fraudsters. They are dishonest hucksters. Look at all of their reviews.
