Buyer beware!!!! This place will sell you garbage!! Purchased a 2016 Kia Optima for my daughter as her first car and sweet 16 present. Jacob was our salesperson and was wonderful until we left the dealership. Drove the car home and noticed that the driver's side door would not unlock, forcing us to crawl in through the passenger side. Took the car back up there and was told by Jacob that we should expect those kind of issues with a car that we only paid $6,000 for. He became very rude and condescending. After loosing my shit because of his treatment, the manager finally agreed to repairing the locking mechanism. Because of the way I was treated after they got my money I checked the reviews, which I should have done before I went there, my stomach dropped when I realized how many people were sold lemons and had been scammed by them. Fast forward a few months later, my daughter got her licensed and was finally able to drive the car. Not even a few hundred miles later... the check engine light came on. Took the car to the Kia dealership and turns out that there is a failed Turbo and the replacement will cost me $4,679!!!!!!!!! They knew when they sold us the car that this was an issue. Please heed my advice and steer clear away from this place unless you want to take out loans getting repairs done after your purchase. read more

I bought a 2008 Chevy Malibu and now I'm being told it's a hunk of shit after it broke down less than 12 hours later. Rip off artist. About 20k down the drain on a vehicle that broke down within 15 minutes of picking it up. They said they'd take care of it but after about $850 of our own money and two repair shops (first one recommended by their salesman) they just offered us a $500 voucher towards our next car purchased there. unbelievable! The truck motor blew after 8mths and the $3000 warranty they conned us into refused to cover any of the cost even after sending all the proof of service they requested. LEMON ALERT!!! I am VERY disappointed in the vehicle and the service we have received from VCM. I co-signed with my young adult daughter for a newer used car on 5/24/23. We were told the manual transmission Chevy Cruze we were purchasing needed NO major repairs, but the ride home proved that the car would not shift in to third gear properly. There turned out to be several other dashboard lights that came on AND the battery needed to be replaced almost immediately. When we took the vehicle in to be evaluated at our local repair shop, we found out that it needed THOUSANDS of dollars worth of repairs. We had purchased the $2,000+ extra protection coverage from VCM that was supposed to cover the cost of some repairs. (This coverage and fee was also not properly explained to us during purchase.) When we contacted VCM about the repairs needed, the management team was unwilling to work with us, to the extent that they repeatedly refused to answer or return our calls as well as hanging up on me several times. When trying to reach various members of management, we were told they were no longer working at VCM, then (miraculously) those same people were available and still employed on a later occasion. Management finally asked for the auto shop's repair estimate, which we provided, and agreed to cover a paltry $500 of the thousands of dollars in repairs. The repairs were completed, and when we contacted VCM for re-imbursement, we were told that the manager who okayed the $500 payout was no longer with the company and current management would not honor his agreement with us. To add insult to injury, VCM was supposed to send us our license plate within 48 hours of purchase. We did not receive our license plate for over two weeks from our purchase date. As we did not have our permanent license plate, we left the temporary dealership plate on the car while it was in the shop being repaired. VCM called the police on us to report that we had STOLEN their license plate! This was absurd since we hadn't had their plate for very long, had not received our permanent plate from them, and weren't able to mail the temporary plate back as we had no access to it while the car was in the shop being repaired. This incident was traumatizing from my young adult daughter, who got a police phone call, and thought she was going to be arrested for stealing the dealership's plate. The car buying process with VCM has been nothing but trouble from the beginning and we are STILL working to resolve issues over six months later. I would NEVER EVER recommend buying from Vehicle City Motors!!! read more

I purchased a car for my son, my bank said they wouldn't loan on the vehicle he selected cause it was in a bad accident according to car fax, so we returned it to Vehicle City. They then gave us a pretty good deal on a much better vehicle and said they were throwing in an extended warranty, but they failed to mention the $2500 that was paid directly to the dealer as a service charge and I just feel this was a little shady. I didn't catch it till all was said and done. You can say my bad for not catching it before signing but it was never mentioned in our verbal agreement. I just think it was wrong and opportunistic. read more

I purchased a Lincoln Navigator in Dec of 2021 from Vehicle Motor City and have had nothing but issues since day one. While Robert, our salesman, was friendly and knowledgeable regarding financing options, we could not have foreseen the disaster that unfolded. I drove the vehicle home, and the following morning, I almost crashed on the way to work. The car attempted to brake and accelerate itself simultaneously. I was very fortunate that I was not on the highway, nor were any vehicles behind me because they would have slammed into the rear of my car. All my gages and radio were no longer functioning. I was able to pull to the side of the road, turn the vehicle off, and then back on again. My husband took the vehicle straight back to Vehicle Motor City to explain the situation. Since I had purchased the car less than 24hrs prior, I assumed they would take the car and make the necessary repairs. Instead, they had us drop the vehicle off at one of their "preferred" mechanics. While the mechanic was friendly and understanding of our situation, he could not figure out what was causing the vehicle to take control of the brake and accelerator. He replaced the starter and stated that was all he could do. This was beyond his expertise. The repair cost $350, which we paid for out of pocket. While we were communicating back and forth with Robert, he assured us that if he received a copy of the receipt, he would be able to reimburse us considering we had purchased the extended warranty on the vehicle, and it had only been 24 hours since the purchase when we experienced this issue. Three days later, the vehicle once again had the same issues. We then took the car to an actual Lincoln Dealership; they were confident the issue was a transmission sensor. They kept our vehicle for 33 days to complete all the repairs, which included 1) wiring as the "front park aid" would continuously stay on, 2) the running boards motor was completely fried, and 3) the driver's side door won't latch if its too cold outside and the transmission issue. We were not provided with a loaner vehicle, so my husband and I spent a month coordinating schedules and wasting an outrageous amount of time driving each other to and from our work establishments. While we are relieved that this hell is now over and the vehicle is repaired, not all the repair work was covered under the extended warranty, and we were forced to pay an additional $450 for those repairs. To date, I am still awaiting the $350 repair cost refund from Robert. My husband went down to the dealership yesterday to finally attempt to talk to someone face to face considering we bought the vehicle from Vehicle City Motors with all of these issues. While Sean, the sales manager, was apologetic, he stated the only thing he could offer us for the inconvenience of our time and money was a $500 credit towards our next vehicle purchased at Vehicle City Motors. Needless to say, we will not be purchasing another vehicle from this company ever again, and the lack of customer service and resolve they show towards their customers is troubling at best. Considering the lack of response from management regarding complaints on this page, I know this will fall on deaf ears, but my hope is a potential buyer will take a second thought before purchasing a vehicle from this company. Bought a 04 Escalade esv from here asked sellers and even the boss if they was anything wrong with it regrading history like salvage or water damage they convincingly told me there wasn't no other damage rather then a light just being on that couldn't be turned off a the truck first car wash I realized water leaks thru the whole entire roof and gets all in the cabin so they sold me a lemon now I'm sueing them place filled with crooks and liars avoid at all costs. read more

I recently purchased a Hummer H3 from Vehicle City Motors, sight unseen, and had it delivered to me in North Carolina. The saleswoman did a virtual test drive with me, but failed to go over the issues with the vehicle. None of them would have been deal-breakers, but it would have been nice to have been made aware of the issues with the vehicle before it was delivered. The passenger rear door handle was falling off, the sunroof was not working, and the step-plate at the driver's door was also falling off and a messy attempt at gluing it in place was clearly visible. Again, I would still have purchased the vehicle, just left a bad taste in my mouth that they did not give me all the details. The key fob is also not working even after changing the battery and attempting to reprogram it. Probably the worst issues were 1- the fact that it was delivered to me on empty - thankfully I met the delivery driver at a local gas station so was able to fill it up, and 2 - when I took it to my mechanic to give it a once over, he said there was no oil registering on the dipstick when he checked it. They are lucky they didn't destroy the engine taking it on test drives. read more
