The only true ramen joint I have found in Corpus all the others are posers. Good food decent service and is a true ramen bar.

Lunch service was excellent. Clean Asian modern style, love the open concept kitchen, with seating right up to the chef. Ordered two different ramen bowls and a Poké bowl - the kale noodles was the draw on that sushi bowl which had a great chew on it, a wonderful gluten-free alternative. Presentation can sometimes deflate the tasting experience, but these dishes did not disappoint. A super spot for date night or date lunch! Nice to have better quality restaurants like this one for the area. The Mochi Paw print was everything I had hoped for in a warm dessert! Clever savory and sweet finish and plenty to share with the table. Will happily return for more! read more

A good ramen spot here in Corpus! The black garlic ramen is the best one on the menu. Creamy, rich and full of flavor! Definitely my favorite! They have a lot of options including a beef, chicken, miso, tonkatsu, and veggie ramen. Rice bowls and appetizers are also available. Interior is a relaxing, darker environment. Most flavorful and rich tonkotsu ramen my bf and I have ever had. The tonkotsu ramens (mega pork, black garlic, and regular) are the BEST, the other ramens were ok. We moved out of Corpus and still cant find anything as good. We went to the famous Ichiran ramen restaurant in NYC recently, waited 2 hours in line, and it still wasnt as flavorful as Mikoto's.. It came close though. I used to live in Japantown in SF, and I still think Mikoto tops all their ramen spots. I know most people in Corpus go to a different ramen spot for their endless noodles, but seriously the quality of the broth here is amazing and I'll choose quality over quantity any day. read more

First of all, this ramen shop is bomb. The service was great and our server had fun sense of humor. They were very attentive and we got our food fast. The chicken karage was tender and moist in the inside, just enough crunch on the outside. My kiddos and I loved it. Their pork pot stickers/gyoza were also a big hit. We always love the crispy bottom of the gyoza! I love that they have a kids ramen option! Way awesome method to introduce kiddos to the wonderful and tasty world of ramen. It's just their pork bone broth and straight ramen noodles it also came with French fries, ketchup, a yakult drink, and a lollipop! My kiddos love that it was a plain bowl of ramen because too much extra topping kind of freaks them out. Price was good too! I ordered myself a bowl of their mega ramen? With extra chashu. Best ramen place in Corpus Christi! I chose the pork ramen which wasn't spicy and it was very tasty. The texture of the broth tasted delicious. I liked how the egg was and the they give you a lot of noodles. I was also a fan of the fried rice! It was moist and it had a lot of flavor. All of the ramen bowls are about $10+ which isn't bad for a ramen place. The customer service was great, they were able to accommodate us right away and they really helped us a lot. I like how clean the location was and the sushi bar was displayed. They also have so called bento boxes where it comes with meat, rice or vegetables. This place was horrible. Do not order the shrimp tempura. They cut off the majority of the meat then cake on batter before deep frying it. The tail was wider than the shrimp meet left on and still charged $10. The garden salad was even horrible. It was a little bit of mixed greens and a couple of halved grape tomatoes. It was the day before Easter and we were looking for Asian food. We had been here before and wanted to try takeout. It was pretty good. I had the beef ramen, my wife had vegetarian, and my daughter had the curry ramen. The beef in my ramen was tasty and tender. It was great meat as there was no gristle or attempt to give me something other than a great dish. The other two dishes were well liked by my family. We ordered gyoza too and it was goo also. I found ordering online a bit fussy as I got conflicting confirmations and times for when it would be ready, the app said I'd get a confirmation from the restaurant as well. I went over about 5 minutes after the first notice said the order would be ready. It was. ready and waiting for us to pickup. I would suggest looking at their menu and calling them directly as it goes through grubhub for orders. You might like talking to a person and giving the restaurant all the money instead of a food delivery service. We will be ordering again. read more

It is hit and miss with the food. The ramen is decent and they do have authentic options. But I also ordered an ahi tuna appetizer which was ultimately bagged chips with one piece of sashimi, drenched in soy and smothered with just shy of burnt garlic. I couldn't stomach it. The children's plates are pricey and the fruit choice is limited. The black bean was bland and the red curry was okay. Our pic shows the black bean ramen was barely touched, for a reason. We sure wish there had been more flavor i.e. seasoning (excluding salt), lemon grass, red pepper, jalapeño. The gyoza and thee soft shell crab taco were good. The crab was a bit fishy though. Food: Appetizers were mediocre at best. -Shrimp tempura 4/5 (batter is too thick) doesn't have the necessary flakiness -Agedashi Tofu 1/5 the base it was soaked it was way too sour and the batter around it was squishy -Gyoza 5/5 -Tuna Tower 5/5 Ramen was also mediocre, because the pork was a bit tough and chewy and the egg (usually the best part) had a weird sour taste to it as well. This shrimp fried rice is $10.99, the seasoning was very unequal and there was some oil stick on the bottom. I was asking the manager about the quality of fried rice, she replied "go eat at other place".That was very ruled and unprofessional, never return back to the place again. I'm pretty sure she won't treat other local people like that, cuz it will mess up her tip. I waited table before, if there's complain I'll ask customers what I can do to make our food better, otherwise I'll let the chef or owner know. I guess for Corpus Christi standards this would be considered a "good" ramen restaurant and being the only one in town, too. But, I would much rather prefer driving 6 hours round trip for quality ramen than to wait 45 mins to eat at Mikoto. Been here a handful of times because the gf LOVES ramen. First off, we've never had consistent service. First visit was terrible but they had just opened so I cut them some slack. Second time they still seemed overwhelmed. Our third time was better than the previous times but last night's visit was the worst. Their seating chart is such a waste. You sign in and wait, but several couples walked into the restaurant not knowing there were other parties waiting and they got seated first. Quite upsetting when we've wasted 30 mins on a seating list. It's hard to get refills on your drinks or flag down a waitress that'll waitress when needed. There's one that seems to be the lead and she takes over for most of the others slack but understandably so she can't do it all alone. I hate to give 2 stars but on service alone I can't continue to visit this place. read more

Second time here and we took our 4 kiddos. They loved the food. I knew they would, bring that they like ramen. It as of course nothing like the packaged stuff. The portions could be easily halved. I ordered the beef ramen with extra noodles that came on the side and split it between two 6yr olds. It's a great place for a date night. The place isn't that large, but will accommodate a party of 8 on their only large table. Staff is wonderful and very sweet. Oh and they have so many different sakis to choose from. read more
