I was steered wrongly and recommended to him by Texas Orthopedics bc they don't do feet. If you want a doctor who you're able to communicate with rather than going through his incompetent, unprofessional staff, I urge you to go see a different dr. Numerous times I was told over a period of 2 weeks from Liz & Joanna that Dr. McDonnell would call me to answer my questions. I paid $300 to see him, he charges more than most drs, and all he did was give me a $500 boot that the billing dept said would likely be covered that I never used and was not covered. It was too painful to wear, and did nothing to "heal" my chief complaint--nerve injury and loss of toe function due to a deep cut. Instead of offering treatment options he said, "It's a hard one. Try the boot. Come back in a few weeks." I sought a second opinion bc he didn't seem sure and surgery would be my last resort. Being a runner and working on my feet all day, it has been very depressing. Dr. McDonnell and his staff made my nightmare injury much worse by not offering any empathy, support, or guidance--basic necessities of patient care. Even after seeing a second podiatrist, I respected Dr. McDonnell, i still wanted his professional opinion bc the other podiatrist recommended such a vastly different treatment plan than just "rest." The other dr said to shave off the side of my foot bc I had a Tailor's bunion which Dr. McDonnell made no mention of or did not even notice, and said I'd need surgery to reattach the tendon, Dr. McDonnell didn't even mention I cut my tendon. He just said I had nerve damage and a bone bruise. I called his office afterwards to talk to him about it and what he thinks is best and to bounce off the other dr's ideas off of him to reassure myself I was making the best informed decision combining both drs' expertise, but his staff refused to let me speak with him, and kept on making excuses for him. I understand he's busy seeing other patients, but 2 weeks is unreasonable. Joanna said, "Well, that's because he's a specialist and is in surgery." I've had surgeries in my family, and never once have any of my friends or family members had a physician who did not care enough to follow up and speak with his/her patients. And unlike most doctors nowadays, there's no way to message him through a portal. After 2 weeks, Joanna told me, only after I called her bc she never called me back as promised, that "Dr. McDonnell says why don't you ask the other dr you saw?" Unbelievable. Also, I asked for a simple dr's note so I could wear comfortable open tiw shoes at work, but she couldn't even do that. She's been with him for 18 years and can't honor any simple patient requests like a dr's note not a call back. She kept in saying I'd have to pay to see him again, even though I already paid $300, and I'd only want to see him if he could recommend a better treatment option and only if his staff wasn't so terrible to deal with. Do not waste your time and money seeing Dr. McDonnell and dealing with the headache of his uncaring, blasé staff.

Add me to the tally of RUINED FEET!…read more Years ago, I saw Robson for a plantar's wart: excellent bedside manner, great education, effective treatment. I had observed folks in the waiting room who had successful bunionectomies: Knowing I'd need it some day, I made sure to remember who I'd call... 2023: it's time for that bunionectomy! My deformity was such that it would require an osteotomy (for alignment correction) and fusion (metatarsal-tarsal) with hardware. My 2nd toe was already so long that it would need shortening to ensure proper foot mechanics (the osteotomy & fusion would make big toe too short/weight bearing would shift to the 2nd toe, which isn't good). "Everything went well," he informed my husband immediately post-op. But the numbness from the surgery never resolved... At each follow-up appt, I mentioned my concern of lack of sensation: He said I must've had neuropathy BEFORE surgery: NO I DID NOT! He got so upset about my complaints (or was that he just didn't believe me?!?) that at next follow-up appt... He took out a straight pin and began poking the areas: I felt NOTHING. He became more and more aggressive, now stabbing my foot repeatedly, until a look of embarrassment came over his face, as he subtly grabbed a tissue to wipe the blood from my foot and the blood drips on the floor that he caused! No, the needle wasn't sterile - it was a straight pin! But, he insisted that he couldn't have cut ALL the nerves because of the pain caused when he grabbed my big toe, pulled (yanked is more accurate) and held it as far away from the other toes as possible. He said I needed to pull it like this regularly. Previously, he had given me instructions for mobilizations to improve extension/bending toe up (only) and NOT for this...yet he insisted that I wasn't working on my foot like I should be (I'm a PT eager to power thru this rehab, so yes I was). The fusion nail through the metatarsal to the tarsal/1st cuneiform protruded to the 2nd cuneiform and began chiseling into it! He claimed that I only mentioned pain in this region AFTER I saw the X-ray (this was in the medical records). Um, this day, he didn't put the X-rays on screen: As he pulled the pictures up, he immediately clicked away, saying, "now's a good time to look at the original x-ray and start talking about hardware removal." While feebly clicking to search, he said, "That's right, our system went through an update, so I can't get to them right now." I asked to at least grab a pic "for posterity's sake." Barely had a chance to snap a pic of this day's x-ray, and no time to look at it until I got home. 2nd toe: The incision was made on the top/dorsum of the foot, right at the base of the 2nd toe. As incisions heal, scar tissue is laid and it contracts... I developed a hammer toe! Dr. Robson said, "I wish we discussed this hammer toe before surgery to take care of it then," to which my reply was "I didn't have a hammer toe before surgery." I still don't have sensation in the ball of my foot, big toe, nor 2nd toe. Can't find/feel the ball of foot when trying to push off with gait. My 3rd toe has become inappropriately helpful with pushing off (& is constantly red). New surgeon didn't want to disparage Dr. Robson: He was super professional. But the truth slipped out over visits: 1. The angle of fusion is such that the big toe/hallux/MTP joint doesn't bend straight (for a normal gait push-off); rather, it bends similarly to how it did before (directionally, as with bunions deformities). No amount of yanking the big toe outward will change the joint alignment (Robson had said I just needed to reshape the meniscal disc). 2. The 1st ray (metatarsal) was fused with the metatarsal head (AKA ball of the foot) ELEVATED, which explains why I can't "find it" when I try to push it down (seated/standing, lifting heel up). It mechanically CANNOT be the push-off bone as it should be. 3. The plate wasn't affixed flush to the bones - hardware removal would be necessary to wear shoes comfortably. 4. A sizable chunk was chiseled out of 2nd cuneiform from the protruding tip of the fusion nail. 5. Hammer toe was an obvious result of the procedure shortening the 2nd toe. Other issues & details being left out because of how long this already is. Bottom line: DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. ROBSON FOR BUNIONECTOMY REQUIRING FUSION. In fact, I've reported him to my insurance company and to the Board.

Dr. Henke then tried to get me to purchase Advocare from his wife (who is not in the medical field) and gave me all of her information. The night before my surgery I just started to feel nervous about it, so I canceled and got three other opinions from orthopedic doctors who all said that the only reason I would need surgery was if my bones were not aligned, which they are. Therefore, the surgery was not necessary. Overall, he was very nice during my visit, but the whole experience made me feel a little taken advantage of and mistrusting of him and his practice.

His office staff is the most unprofessional staff I have EVER had the displeasure of doing business with in any medical professional capacity for my kid. Dr. Henke himself was rude, condescending, and treated my child poorly. Despite our initial distaste for him personally, we chose to continue scheduling a needed procedure because my kid was in pain. How wrong were we!?! His staff called to tell us Dr. Henke would ONLY perform the procedure on the 2nd floor despite it not being covered by our insurance because he refused to go to Seton (even though he has the ability) because my kid should be able to do the procedure in the office. I had already disclosed to him in great detail the reasons she was not able (and I am not listing here in order to maintain privacy) and I would be happy to provide whatever documentation necessary to convince him of her legitimate need, and ensure insurance coverage. Luckily, I record every call that comes into/out of my phone and have record of this because we will be following up with an Office of Civil Rights/ADA complaint. Alicia later called me and assured me she had in fact secured coverage on the 2nd floor and we were fine to proceed with having it done there. Well, Alicia is AWFUL. Think trying to do business with a teen valley girl with a wad of gum in her mouth the whole time you are talking. Coverage was not secured and the day before we were scheduled we received a call that WE would need to obtain a single case agreement and our insurance would not let their office obtain this. (Funny, other offices have obtained their own single case agreement. Thank you, Sage Recovery for your professionalism!) Single case agreement can only be obtained if there is a network deficiency. There is no deficiency here. Just a doctor who refuses to provide services to children with special needs because he himself has determined they "should be able to have it done in office bc it is such a small procedure." After all that, they offer to reschedule at Seton after all. At this point, no thanks! We have found a reasonable, compassionate, and professional podiatry office with Dr. Golf, who even though he performs minor procedures in a surgery center, is happy to go to Seton Southwest since it is in network, and has treated my kid and me with the utmost dignity and respect.

I had to wait outside in the hospital corridor. Dr. Parker misdiagnosed me and was very flippant and overconfident. I still have the issue 6 months later that I went in for. and the issues that he said I had, haven't manifested. Misdiagnosis happen all the time, but it was very hard for me to be in the office when I had a headache from the smell, no fresh air, and felt like I paid just to see someone for 15 minutes. I will go to someone else who has a clean office. (I went in for a toenail infection and he told me I had incurable fungal infections in both my big toes that I just couldn't see yet. Incurable since im breastfeeding and cant take anti fungal medication. no fungus has showed itself and my original infection is still there.)

Several of my providers said he was the best foot specialist in the San Marcos area. My initial appointment was scheduled for another day and I was on a cancellation list for an earlier appointment due to my concerns about the injury to my foot. An earlier appointment came up at the end of the day due to a cancellation and I quickly took it. My initial experience with Dr. Parker's staff was outstanding! The front desk staff are excellent and they have an amazing personality and explained all the paperwork, forms, and procedures that would be occurring. After I was led to the exam room I waited 30 mins for Dr. Parker to arrive. While waiting for him to enter the exam room I could hear him discussing me. He first asked "Why was I here, when we are closed?" and "Didn't they (the front desk staff) see the clock or have a watch to see that they are closed." He then asked the front desk staff if I was a patient of his or a new patient. When they said new patient he groaned at entered the room. The exam took less than 5 mins. He didn't exam my foot or address any of my issues. He said to schedule a procedure, which we were supposed to have done during this appointment, in 2 to 3 weeks. He was very rude and grumpy. I felt that me being in his office was an inconvenience to him personally and that my concerns were not valid in the least. After my exam I went to the front desk and told them my concerns. They were extremely apologetic and offered to talk to Dr. Parker about the issues. However, Dr. Parker was already getting ready to walk out the door. I guess whatever he had going on this afternoon takes priority over new patients. I would now like to address his website and the statements it says on it. "Dr. Parker and his staff are dedicated to providing you with individualized, high-quality podiatric medical care, delivered with expertise and compassion. At Hill Country Foot Specialist, you become a member of the healthcare team as Dr. Parker develops your personalized treatment plan." I did not feel appriciated or a "member" of his team. I felt like an inconvenience and did not have an individualized or compassionate care. "Through his warm bedside manner and compassion, Dr. Parker makes sure you feel welcome." There was no welcoming or compassion with this provider. "He listens to your problem and devises a plan that will assist in getting you on the road to a full recovery." He did not listen to my problem or even address anything other than saying he needs to do a procedure. Did not address my other concerns about orthopedics. "In addition, our caring staff strives to make each patient feel comfortable and welcome during their visit" The front staff and medical assistants are by far the BEST thing about this office. They could go to any other office in the city and immediately be welcomed. 10/10 would recommend his staff for another location. Dr Robert D Parker is not professional and I do not recommend him for your treatment or care. Any physician referring out to him should be aware of these critques.

Three years ago I kicked my bathtub. I was not playing soccer with my bathtub or anything wild. I'm just super clumsy. I injured my second toe, and I've had persistent pain issues since then. I saw a podiatrist in Albuquerque, and while he helped some of the immediate pain and swelling, I never got it under control. It turns out it was not just the injury but the shape of my foot genetically causing these issues I am having. Dr. St. Louis helped explain more about my foot than I knew before and why the shape of my foot is causing the pain to continue. She gave me information about proper shoes and an insert to help with my arch and to help take the brunt of the weight off the injured area. I feel really confident this is going to fix my persistent issue that impedes the quality of my exercise. She also gave me tips about my other ankle (even though I wasn't even there for that) to strengthen it more. I wholeheartedly recommend her, and I'm grateful for the time she spent with me. She even took notes for me and recommended some shoes for my specific needs. If you have feet woes, go meet Dr. St. Louis and get your groove back.

My experience was not a complete trainwreck but he didn't accomplish much either. I had 2 office visits, the second one to review MRI results. The TOTAL time spent with Dr. Hasson was about 8-10 minutes. He was very rushed and then he sent me out the door to the pain dr. across the hall...he couldn't get me out of there fast enough. I found it odd that he doesn't look at MRI's directly and instead he relies solely on the report. Plenty of doctors have reviewed MRIs with me/family and noticed things not mentioned on the reports. I took my MRI disc to Tx Othopedics on 360 and now we're working to find the exact source of my pain and will work to eliminate it.

Since then, my wife and I have had MANY appointments with Dr. Hasson, ranging from bursitis to ankle injuries. In all instances, Dr. Hasson has been great. I have read reviews about quick visits, but that is one thing that I appreciate about Dr. Hasson -- he is quick and to the point. My time is valuable, and I don't like long waits sitting in the waiting room nor lengthy visits that are unproductive. Again, he is great.
