Ordered a piece in August 2025. I was told in writing that it would take approximately 6-8 months to be ready. That 6-8 month deadline passed without any update. Over the next few months, I sent seven (!!!) emails to customer service requesting an update and made various calls. Most of the calls and emails never received responses. The singular email response I received said that they would "give an update on Monday"--which they never did. I got a refund using the customer service chat feature on the website. Where do I start? The ladies here are nothing short of amazing! Tiffany, Charna and Mikayla gave my teenage daughter the "star" treatment. She was pampered by them. They were so patient and put so many wigs on her until she found the perfect one. That smile said it all. I wish I would have read these reviews before because they are almost all what we experienced except for the weird fact that they used the incorrect name for both my appointments and my purchase receipt all with in a three day period. Their carefully curated Instagram is so inspiring who knew the extent of the deceptive false advertising and non existent customer service. Their advertised 'five-day satisfaction guarantee' is a blatant misrepresentation. Attempting to address concerns within this timeframe proved futile. Communication was deliberately obstructed; phone calls were ignored, and in-person inquiries were met with evasiveness. Access to management was denied, with staff refusing to provide names or contact information. Furthermore, as stated in previous Yelp reviews, their services are demonstrably ill-equipped to handle diverse hair textures, particularly curly hair. The technicians, while seemingly competent, are clearly operating within a system that provides no support or resources. Any attempt to seek clarification or assistance was met with indifference, bordering on hostility. The initial consultation and purchase were handled with superficial charm, but subsequent attempts to complete my paid services to customize or address issues were met with complete disregard. If you value your sanity, your hair, self respect and your time, STAY AWAY. It's less a salon, more a hostage situation. This establishment preys on the vulnerability of women seeking hair solutions. My mom had been receiving lots of social media clips of Milano wig fittings in her feed, and forwarded them to me. I decided to schedule an appointment, as I am overdue for new topper. I completed the application, in which they ask you to send images of yourself without your hairpiece on, plus make you pay $50. This should have been an immediate red flag for me, as I generally did feel uncomfortable providing these images, but I did it based on how supportive and understanding they seemed around hair loss in the video clips. When I got to the showroom, I was met by a very nice salesperson, but the meeting itself was quick and totally unsatisfying. She only had one option for me, when I was open to both hard and lace front options. It was a good option, but it also didn't feel quite right (different type of hair than my background), and I was hoping they would have a lace front for me to check out. She had to fish one out that didn't match my hair color at all, just so I could see how it felt on. A couple other random options were full wigs that were not my hair color, with textures that literally made zero sense for my hair type. Why ask me for pictures if you're not going to select anything resembling my hair? There was nothing else. I was told they would look for a lace front option for me from another showroom, but I've had zero follow-up from Milano Wigs since then. On top of that, the showroom was in bad shape, it seemed quite rundown. There were other customers/families there, with men watching things go down, and I was just expected to take my hair off in front of everyone. I'm not ashamed of my condition, but it's still hard to know this is the way things will be for the rest of my life, and it just felt really insensitive to the range of emotions someone may have coming in here. Overall, I didn't think the experience was supportive of women who experience hair loss, and who are constantly shamed by society because of it. Having women who don't have alopecia as sales people just heightens the disconnect, because they'll never understand. In the end, I feel like I got scammed, but more importantly, this business does not recognize how emotionally challenging it can be to make the step to get the hair you need when you have a medical diagnosis, and I do feel completely abandoned by these people. read more

They will fit you the perfect wig first time you come in and then tells you can't take it with you they have to "prep" it and will be available for pick up after a week or two.. and you will notice it's not the same quality of wig when you first try it on. Expensive wigs poor quality bulging on your head! And their return policy is shady! Limited 5 days to return and you will only be allowed to exchange afterwards with the same low quality wig! Waste of money! Biggest mistake of purchasing here! Customer service is worse also same as other reviews when you are coming to buy it's all smiles and when you are returning you get a sour face from their attendant! Horrible! PLEASE do you due diligence before buying a Milano wig. I sent my wig to the signal hill office to do a lace repair and it came back ruined. No one will get on the phone with me. To be honest, I am not a 100% it' the same wig. I bought a virgin hair wig and the hair they used to "repair" the lace front is synthetic! They also dyed (or toned) the hair so now it looks red/organge. Also, they over plucked ( or whatever they did) the part so now I have a huge gaping bald spot. This is not the wig I purchased and it's definitely not the wig I sent in for a repair (even if it is in fact the same wig it's does not look at all the same as when I sent it to them) Have pictures to prove the before and after and not sure where to post on here to how you. ALL the customer service people I have dealt with (through what's app because they will not get on the phone) have gas lit me, disrespected me and lied to me. They had my wig in for repair for over two months and again, no now would answer a call to give me an update. I'm writing this review months after I got my wig cause I realized I needed to let others know my experience in case it helped them. I suffer from alopecia causing significant hair loss. I have purchased one wig at a different vendor before this- that wig being more expensive due to better quality lace and hair sewing. I do wear that wig but it is long hair and heavy, so I needed something shorter and lighter for work. I made an appt at Milano, it was easy online. My consultant was very nice. I am still uneasy about wig wearing because it's just not my own hair and can seem obvious it's fake, but I have no choice. The consultant was helpful in getting me the style, length and brunette color I was looking for. Once I chose the wig, I was informed they would keep the wig in order to bleach the knots to help it look more like scalp. My previous wig did not require this, but I could see why it was needed on this wig because the knots were very dark and noticeable- like thick black dots. The bleaching of knots was all I was told would be done to the wig. When I came in to pick up 2 weeks later, I was taken aback. The wig had been cut and styled as well, but not in any way I had wanted or asked for. It was cut slightly shorter into blunt end layers. I even asked my consultant confused- did they straighten it? Cause the ends now were straight and choppy. I had not imagined they would cut the wig without asking my preference. And not even while on my head to see how it framed my face. The consultant put the wig on me, and there was a square section of hair at the root that was almost white in discoloration, hugely contrasting the brunette hair. She took it off, and even said this must be makeup, thinking they had put makeup on the lace to blend better and it had gotten on the hair accidentally. She scratched at the area, moved the hair around and put it back on me, and I didn't notice the area anymore. She quickly took the wig off and was like ready for me to check out. I do recall feeling rushed at that moment and wondered why she took it off me so fast. When I got home, I really inspected the wig. That white section of hair was there still, she had just covered it with surrounding hair but it showed again with any movement. It was actually the hair bleached, a full half inch above the root. This was clearly a mistake made by the hair tech that bleached it. Also the knots were not all bleached. There were dozens that were missed, randomly and in sections, so the lace did not look like scalp at all. Could see black dots everywhere along the part line. I called Milano right away and told the consultant (as if she didn't know) and she said I could bring it back in and they would fix it. When I went back, I expressed concerned that if they just colored the hair that was mistakenly bleached, would it fade later and I'd keep having to get it retouched. She reassured me they would remove and re-tie the hair in that section. Also there was a plan to sew the front scalp lace back a little so some of my real hair could be pulled out to help blend the wig. When I came back another day to pick up the wig. I saw the lace and was so disappointed. They had completely re-bleached the area to get the knots that were missed, but now the lace was such a light unnatural color- also hardened and looking like it could tear due to the double overprocessing with bleach. I think that area of hair that was bleached had been fixed, but the hair line lace now was terrible. The lace also hadn't been sewn back in front like she said it would, so she took it to someone to hurriedly do it while I waited, and when she came back, they had sewn it back along with some of the front hairs on the wig, so now the wig had hairs sticking out from under the lace, in no way looking like a normal hairline. Honestly in that moment I just gave up. Had been back and forth and the wig was just getting worse. And I unfortunately am not good about really speaking up. I honestly didn't even say anything about being unsatisfied to the consultant at this point. Also I thought, am I just being overly critical?! But no, later I knew it was a poorly done service, it wasn't me being picky. I just regretfully accepted this wig as a loss, a big monetary loss. Plus I think the policy is once it's bleached, there is no return anyway. Later I tried to get the wig covered by my insurance to at least make me feel better about the money loss, but they are not a vendor that my insurance contracts with, so not in network. So ya, I have this wig from Milano that I will never wear. Definitely a waste. read more

This place is an amazing find and Priscilla has magic hands. It's like hair heaven when you walk in. I dropped in my hair topper to get it rooted and to get the piece trimmed to frame my face. Priscilla did more than that, she turned my beautiful hair topper into a piece that's so me. I also love how honest she is and her willingness to offer advise and suggestions based on her expertise on what she thinks would work best. Although this is mainly a wig salon, I get my hair done here permanently now! I've been coming here for over a year now (forgot to leave a review) and I'd never trust anyone else with my hair!! It's super brittle because my other lady would bleach my head (she wasn't very experienced with cray cray colors so no grudges), whereas Priscilla decided to use color to lighten my hair. Unprofessional and clueless people who answer the phone. They have a gatekeeper, a rude man with a thick accent who takes the calls. If he thinks his way of dealing with people brings in the business, then there is truly something wrong with him. Before they relocated to Cherry in Long Beach, the location they call corporate, the owner would greet you. She was very nice. Now she just walks around looking when you come through the door. I noticed, she has a pretty high employee turnover rate too. Must be the overall attitude. Not a good look, the prices are too high for wigs that aren't custom to get a cold feeling. Customer service means everything. The 2 rating comes from Kyana, who doesn't work there anymore and from the cool stylist I met. As for the lookie-loo owner, I will never come back there again. Best experience! I found Milano Wigs through Instagram and WUKOgals. I recently lost my hair thanks to chemotherapy. I was a little nervous about the process of finding a wig and not knowing what to expect. I went to the Signal Hill location and was greeted by Rachel. Disgusting customer service. I would never purchase a wig from them, I ordered 2 wigs on the sale... and one is out of stock unless I want to add $200 on my order to get the longer length when I ordered the wig was in stock! They did not accommodate me so I said fine cancel the order the male manager said to me "that's fine, I sell over $1000 wigs in 2 seconds" who says such a thing!?! How unprofessional! So I told him I'm waiting on the phone for the refund email, he tells me "I'm not in the office right now" LOL. I CALLED THE OFFICE in California where they let me know that my wig is out of stock. Shame on me for not reading the previous 1 star reviews left here. They are all true....customer service is horrible. They will answer you quickly when you are new or about to make a $2,000 purchase, but if you encounter a problem or have an issue with their product...good luck. When you make a purchase of this dollar amount, you expect great customer service, right? I sent general customer service questions in the past and received very quick responses....within minutes. The time I have an urgent issue, they choose not to respond. Why? It's not an issue to them, they have already received my money; so they don't care. Now it appears to be my loss. Don't spend your hard earned money here. Spend it with a company that cares about their customers (including returning customers), and a company who stands behind their product and is willing to provide exceptional customer service. Milano isn't it. It's a damn shame. It's not like I'm buying a $2 headband, I'm spending a few thousand dollars. There are too many businesses out there with a better product and attitude. I moved to Long Beach, CA this spring. I don't buy wigs without trying them on anymore. I did some research online on what was local to me and I found Milano and their awesome website. I went to their shop and saw one wig more beautiful than the next and a bunch of girls customizing them to order. It was like nothing I have ever seen. The staff were sweet and patient and took their time to explain all of my options and that every wig was completely customizable. The owner was there, I didn't know she was the owner until after I met her several times. She was fully hands on with the staff, helping walk ins and making people smile. Before Milano I thought I found a brand of wigs that made me happy because they actually fit my petite frame and I was able to pass their wigs off as my hair. After trying on 1 Milano wig, I knew I would never wear another brand of wig again. I picked a wig with a base the same as my natural hair color, they did a balayage with face framing highlights, cut a few long layers and I instantly had Victoria's Secret model hair. I have been wearing this wig for almost 2 months and it has truly just become my hair. The first weekend I wore it, a waitress in a very bright restaurant told me that I had great hair and I looked at my husband and it was so hard not to cry. Let me just say a few words about the divine topper, I have a processed one and a virgin hair one and both are fabulous as far as hair quality goes. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Suffering from hair loss as a young woman is extremely challenging. It takes a massive toll on your confidence and ability to feel 'yourself'. We talked about hair loss and she inspired me by opening my mind to the fact that hairloss actually allows you to create new and exciting looks for yourself by wearing wigs- I had never thought of it that way before. The hair feels amazingly healthy and the part is extremely realistic.
