Fresh homemade pasta selection. Yes please!
    Jenviev A.

This is what my Italian dreams are made of. Fresh mozzarella, handmade pasta, sliced to order porchetta, I could literally die a happy woman at Milanos. The Italian grocery store recently expanded, almost doubling in size. It's located in be heart of little Italy, and honestly one of my favourite weekend spots to visit. All the staff speak Italian and they carry many hard to find Italian must haves. Yes it gets crazy busy, but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

A good variety of imported products you won't likely find at traditional grocery stores, including Italian Nutella. Nothing there is cheap though, there's no particular reason why you should get your prime rib steak there as opposed to a proper butcher shop. Overall the staff's attitude ranges from indifferent to condescending. I'm very disappointed by the fact they do fake price drops (aka: products that didn't change price but we're gonna stick a "special" sticker anyway)

Don't come here on a Monday Morning. Nothing will be ready!!! Wow. So disappointed. I'm never coming shopping here first thing on Monday morning again. The Bread I like isn't ready...no Italian Sausage until 11am? What the hell? Wasted a morning in the Rain. Learned my lesson. Graci Milano.

I love it here. Even when it is busy. Their are jus too many good options for food....do not come when you are hungry or you will by everything. I always pick up cheese - what a huge selection. I always pick up sliced meats, great price. And of course we pick up Al the Italian standards, pickled eggplant, olives, pasta....etc. PS - they even have fresh pasta maison

One of the best Italian supermarkets in the country, and I am from the GTA which has an abundance of Italian supermarkets.

We didn't finish our selection at 8pm (the closing time) but almost at the end. However, there was one employee very rushed push us to leave, we just have one or two item need to select. She didn't want to help but only spoke loudly to us just the store need to be closed, but based on my experience no store in Canada push customer to leave as long as customer step into the store before the closing time. My wife is pregnant, she couldn't move fast and felt sad and angry about this thing. There is no respect from the the employee at this store. Please avoid this store. It was really a bad bad experience.

There was also a hardware section of household goods, frozen and a big bonus. An open concept restaurant located in the grocery store. It looked as though locals were enjoying a Saturday lunch when I arrived. The smells of wonderful pork bone soup filled the air! Back to the grocery store two blocks away is Kim Phat. So one would think how the hell can they possibly compete with such a Vietnamese powerhouse as KP. It's like the David and Goliath tale. Obviously there's an allure to shopping here as people were coming and going. Parking is to a minimum and there was a guy attending and trying to control parking as I was coming in. Selection was more than adequate for my Asian food needs. Some interesting discoveries: 1) dried mud fish. Not sure how one would cook a dish using. Never tried this before but googled it and it looks like a devilish creature living in a muddy landscape far far away. 2) vegetarian shark fin. As many shark lovers have cried afoul of Chinese and their celebration of shark fin soup. Don't judge me I grew up with real SFS. With the veggie version I'm glad Kei Phat supports this socially conscious move. Pamela Anderson or the PETA individuals would be proud as well. I would definitely return as its a good experience to come and shop then eat lunch or vice versa in the restaurant.
