When I was looking for an appropriate space in our home parish of the Felicianas for my siblings and I to host a retirement reception for my mother after a 55 year banking career I made many calls. Bonnie at Centennary was very friendly & accommodating. She made the experience here a very pleasant one. We handled our own catering and Bonnie gave us access to the kitchen and let us use the coffee equipment. She had the linens and layout of the ballroom exactly as we had discussed. The price of an afternoon event that begins before 3pm is much reduced. She helped us structure the event to fit into our budget. I highly recommend this event space!

Fast forward about 5 wks after that initial finding and a small group of us are headed back out to the B&B. Some stayed at the Barrow House itself while me and a friend stayed across the street at Printer's House. We had a private bath and parlor. Also had a kitchen that was available to us. The Barrow House was the most comfortable and enjoyable bed and breakfast experience that I have had in recent years. The rooms are very large and clean. It has the cozy feeling of staying in someone's home but guests also have complete privacy. Shirley and Chris are wonderful and really know how to run a B&B (which isn't easy). St Francisville is one of the most charming cities in Louisiana. The Barrow House is a great asset to this unique city.

It is easily in our top 5 favorite restaurants. It would also be within the top 3 or 5 best restaurants we've eaten at. I think it has gotten better since we started visiting, which is saying a lot. The restaurant is now getting recognized by Michelin and was recently added to their Michelin Guide. I will have to see if I can locate additional photos I have taken over the years. We have been at this point, June 2026, about five times. Every time we go the food and service is 10/10. We always start with the Baguette, Bisque and Sensation Salad. If I had to choose one dish to order it would be the Bisque. I could make a meal out of it with the Baguette. It is one of the 10 best bites of food I have ever had. It's the best thing on the menu in my opinion and luckily it's a main stay. As far main dishes go we have had varieties of their steak, pane'd veal, pork chop, pasta and fish. All were amazing.
