GO ELSEWHERE~ Bad integrity with warranty!…read more I purchased a VERY expensive wool\spring mattress from Urban Mattress with a 20 year NON-prorated warranty. $3,095 + tax. The mattress is failing and there are sunken areas in which my body now sinks in around 25% (I mostly sleep on my back)! I weigh slightly over 100lbs. I'm not a heavy person putting undo stress on the mattress. Based on some comments from Urban Mattress, I've discovered this mattress is failing for many people, not just me. The customer service lady first offered to replace with a USED display mattress! That's not what the promise of the warranty is! They are refusing to replace it with the same despite the NON-PRORATED warranty, unless I pay an additional $900. They want me to participate in their replacement cost! I even offered to let them substitute with a different but similar brand of wool mattress that costs less. They said no. They said they'd replace (for free) with a latex mattress. I did not purchase a latex mattress! I purchased a very expensive wool one because I'm allergic to latex and also chemical sensitive. Wool mattresses have no toxins, no latex, do not off gas, and have no toxic fire retardants. The customer service person (not sure, but I think she's the daughter of the owner) said her mother and sister have latex allergies and were OK with their latex and asked me to try one of their organic latex pillows. I agreed in hopes of compromise and getting this resolved, even though it's not a wool mattress. I tried the organic latex pillow and broke out in hives. Of all the crazy off the wall things, after breaking out in hives from the latex pillow test, they offered to give me a free box spring instead of a new mattress to replace my failed mattress. I have a platform type bed that I bought from them when I purchased the mattress. It is 100% complaint with the mattress warranty and in very good condition! My 20 year non-prorated warranty is for the mattress! It's not for a box spring, not a latex mattress... it's for a wool\spring mattress. Shop elsewhere! They don't stand behind the warranty's for their mattresses.

The clearance room prices were amazing, and although "just looking", we bought it on the spot! Steve wrapped it in plastic, and helped to load it into our truck. Steve suggested we do a FaceTime call, and he demonstrated the way it worked, while we followed the steps from home. Problem resolved immediately! She told me there were 13 in stock in Washington for exchange and that would be hearing from the store manager the next day. It is a week and I still haven't heard back. Basically I'm being ghosted. After reading the other reviews online, I see that customer service is not a strong point of the Westminster store. I had to reach out to the main customer service line to hear that they would be unlikely to do this. While I understand that there are variations in color, rather than return it, I asked for an exchange. I haven't even removed the table from its box. The coffee table I got looks like a teak or mahogany wood and would never be used as a display. I have not had this kind of experience with exchanges from any other furniture store that I've shopped: west elm, cb2, room and board, you name it with . As such I took Thursday, April 2 off from work to make sure that I was available to receive my order in person once I was notified of the actual day of delivery which they never did. That Thursday I contacted Denver City Furniture to find out the status of the delivery of the mattress to my new location where I was moving. They contacted the shipper, presumably FedEx and they were notified that the mattress had been dropped off on Wednesday, April 1. This means that I took a day of PTO for no reason and my mattress was sitting outside possibly available for porch pirates and I was none the wiser. In attempting to get compensated for the monetary equivalent to my loss of a PTO day, I was given a $100 credit to the store which basically covers one goddamn pillow. Despite my frequent pleas for compensation that at the very least matched the monetary equivalent to my lost day of personal time off, I was stonewalled. This is a slap in the face and the message being sent is that my time my frustration and their lack of ability to effectively communicate logistics is only worth less than half of a day pay for me that I am now out. Suffice to say Ashley furniture, and Denver city furniture will not be getting any additional business from me. To be fair, Mark, the sales guy was a peach. Unfortunately though they'll never get my business again and I will be reporting Ashley furniture to the Better Business Bureau because they suck balls. Of course I contacted Ashley corporate and they were zero help and told me I needed to contact city furniture for any help with this. So in predictable form, one entity is pointing fingers at another entity, saying they need to take care of it. Meaning it's a vortex of lousy service.

They were friendly, communicative, and clearly passionate about what they do. The couch itself is beautiful and exactly the style I was looking for. After delivery, I did run into several issues that led me to update my review to 2 stars. I had trouble getting a response regarding a matching ottoman I was told would be available, and I also experienced issues with the sectional pieces not locking properly. When I later rearranged the couch, I discovered a broken wood support and detached hardware underneath--which was especially disappointing given the couch was only about a month old and I had paid for white glove delivery. At this time I was not communicating directly with Matt or Jake which was where things went wrong. However, once Jake and Matt became directly involved, everything completely turned around. They responded quickly, took accountability, and immediately offered to replace the damaged section. They also worked with me on a showroom ottoman at a discount. After speaking with Matt, it's clear they are very focused on quality and have a continuous improvement mindset. As someone who works in quality within manufacturing, I really respect a business that stands behind their product and makes things right. To me, that matters more than a perfect first experience. Within weeks we experienced misshapen back pillows, lumps/indentations, stiffness, and significant pilling. Customer service initially responded, but communication eventually stopped despite multiple follow-ups. For such a large purchase, we expected better product quality and stronger warranty support. Detailed Review: We purchased a new sofa from this company after being impressed by the showroom model and the many positive reviews online. Initially, the experience was excellent -- customer service was friendly, delivery went smoothly, and we were excited about the purchase. Unfortunately, almost immediately after delivery we noticed issues with several of the back pillows, including lumps, indentations, stiffness, and uneven shaping. We tried to give the sofa time to break in before raising concerns. About three weeks after delivery, I contacted Matt regarding the issues after receiving a request to leave a review. He told us this was normal for a new sofa and gave us instructions on how to fluff the pillows by removing the covers and redistributing the fill. We followed those instructions carefully but saw no meaningful improvement. Around six weeks after delivery, we also noticed significant pilling on several cushions in addition to the continuing pillow deformities. I submitted a warranty claim under their advertised 3-year warranty and did not hear back for over a week. After reaching out directly to the owner, he initially responded and explained that some pilling was expected, recommending a fabric pill remover from Amazon. While the pill remover helped temporarily, this level of wear so early on raised concerns about durability for a primary family sofa. The owner offered replacement pillows and covers but also stated he did not think they would solve the issue because the deformities were "part of having a cloud sofa." He later offered to replace the sofa if we paid another 50% of the purchase price plus taxes, delivery, and removal fees, which was not realistic for us on a nearly new couch. I explained that we genuinely wanted to find a solution and love the sofa, and despite being told it might not help, I asked to move forward with replacing the deformed pillows. From May 8-15, I sent three follow-up messages and received no response by text, email, or phone. If the company follows through with the solution they offered, I will gladly update this review. At this point, though, this has been a disappointing experience for such a significant purchase. We expected better durability, communication, and warranty support from a company with such strong reviews.

After a lot of back and forward I ordered a set. I have had the set for some time now and Maria was right: still looks like new: no sag in the cushions, no color fade, and frame is still sturdy.

Will helped me decide between several options and made sure that I received the seasonal discount when purchasing; we selected the delivery option and the 2 guys who delivered the sofa were so careful and professional. We'd agonized a little about this purchase: we didn't want to spend thousands on a new sofa, but also didn't want to buy a cheap new one that would likely end up in the landfill in a few years. Marketplace was an option, but then we'd have to figure out delivery, plus not know what we were really buying. At Second Edition, we knew that it has been professionally, deep cleaned, and it ended up being about the same price as the other Crate and Barrel sofas I'd seen on FB. A really great experience all around!
