I had my surgery here with Dr. Taneja for a breast augmentation. The day of the surgery, the front desk grows were nice. They brought me in quickly. But I love the most for the nurse is there. I'm not sure if that was Dr. Taneja team, I would believe so. But they were super nice and helpful 10 out of 10. However, when I went for my follow up on Wednesday, I went to this office to speak with a doctor. I was surprised that one of the front desk girls like scheduled my second follow up appointment failed to let me know about the number I should be texting so that I can get my free Botox or filler. Horrible customer service that's for sure!!!! Doctor great but if you have a scheduled appointment and not only do your patients come before the scheduled appt please advised them you are running late or keep them inform why they haven't been seen. My friend had her two appts one at 11:30 and the other one at 12pm. They didn't take her in until 12:40, then was taken in 15 min after for her 2nd appt only to let her know they couldn't do it!!!! I don't normally write reviews but was completely shocked at the previous review I saw about this surgery center. I can tell by reading a few of his comments that he was probably a difficult one. Everyone knows when you have anesthesia you can't eat or drink after midnight. I, myself had a great experience there! Not only were they very professional but friendly and very caring. They were also very helpful iin answering all my questions before my surgery. I get so confused with insurance stuff and the lady there was so patient and nice and explained everything to me. I was very impressed overall and would highly recommend to any of my family or friends. I was seen by Dr. Farivar who is so nice! I also heard Dr. Tran see's patients there also who I've heard great reviews on. P.S. I'm not vietnamese either if that tells you anything. I have just had a septumplasty and a turbinate reduction done by Dr. Tran at Mile Square. Ohhh wow! The end result is amazing. I finally know how it feels breathing through both sides. I'm not sure whether I hate this place or love this place. Let me start off by saying that tonsillectomies are not fun surgeries. I was in so much pain for the subsequent week and a half after my surgery that I couldn't even think straight. That said, that's my only complaint. And since it is out of their control, it hasn't affected my review. But be warned: tonsillectomies suck. Moving on. The center is clean. The staff is nice, funny, and professional. There has yet to be a wait time for me (I'm seriously convinced that those 1 star reviewers are trolling). Everything from when I was put to sleep (so painful) to when I was woken up (hazy but also painful) went smoothly. Being wheeled out in a wheelchair is fun, btw. Note: If you ever get a tonsillectomy, stop and appreciate how similar the situation is to Twilight. Firstly, the IV is entered into your hand, so when you're put to sleep you feel it in your wrist. It burns. Majorly. I can only compare it to how Bella must've felt when she was bitten in the wrist by James. Also, when you wake up, your throat burns. I can only compare it to the hunger a newborn vampire experiences and the subsequent burn in his or her throat. It's official. I am a nut. read more

As a senior I've been around the block with hospitals and surgery centers. MSSC is by far the very best in every aspect. These are smart, personable, accommodating people. This center have really bad service i have ever seen. I have appointments for my grandfather at 8am, i came around 7am to do all the paperwork. Everything done before 8am, but they didn't let my grandfather in until 9:17am. They let's other people who came after us in and we have to wait more than 1hour. When i came to the front desk ask why i have to wait for so long. So the lady with short hair and glasses said " your will next, just wait for the doctor" but i end up waiting. The next person she saying is another patient that came after my grandfather. I will never come back to this place!!!!! read more

No one wants to have a colonoscopy. If you have to have one you want to have a place that is well organized, clean, where the people are friendly and put you at ease. I need my glasses to see and I was very happy how I was allowed to keep my glasses on til the last moment. Then they were gently put away for me and then I WAS AWAKENED WITH THEM ON!! Wow, be very careful of this place. I have a high deductible HSA plan and pay most of the costs of my medical care. Quoted doctor and facility fees for tonsil work were about $1500. However I later got a bill for $1000 for anesthesiologist and $33000 for facility fees. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FROM THESE GUYS. BE VERY CAREFUL. read more

My mom has cancer and it's ridiculous to wait this long. This is our third time here and I'm compelled to write a review after this experience. okay so I read the reviews and it's unbelievable that anybody is unhappy that has visited the Mile Square Surgical Center my experience was a very good experience from start to finish the entire staff that I dealt with was very kind courteous and considerate of my needs. everything was very clean and in my older age I'm getting a little slow and there was no rush of any kind from the staff I had a few questions that were answered promptly, professionally and without attitude I never even realized that I had went to sleep and when I woke up it was to the smiling face of Nelly telling me wake it's all done thank you to everyone I will definitely refer you two friends and family and a special thanks to ken for a pain-free needle stick LOL lastly to those people who complain I don't see any Merit for your complaints after my visit so I think and this is just my opinion maybe you should lay off the crack!!! :) read more

Hi, I am one of those guys who is not sick, but believes in doctors, medicine and research. I am alive because of cancer work 40 years ago. However, I hate going to doctors and I never believe that I need to follow the rules, so I figured they would let me go home after my colonoscopy. WRONG. they were going to make sure I got home safely (and all others were safe too!). So after a really friendly and helpful entry and procedure, they drove me home. Everyone was friendly, professional, very, very careful, kind to patients who were young or old and from a United Nations full of backgrounds. Went yesterday for a colonoscopy, was nervous but needed not to be. I cannot say enough good things about this surgery center. The staff, nurses and anesthesiologist were very professional and friendly. The front office waiting room was small but once in the surgery area the area was spacious and immaculate. From the time I walked in to the time I left I received such great care. They really do have a great culture of care mentality in this facility. This was a terrible experience. I went here a few days before the surgery to get an EKG. As I am sitting there with my breasts exposed, some male worker knocked the curtains wide open by goofing off like an idiot. At least I think he was male based on all the loud laughter and horse play that was going on. The woman running the test was preoccupied because she had no idea how to run the machine, and she didn't speak english well at all so I am trying to get her to close the curtains because the room was busy and I am sitting there with my breasts exposed and hooked up to a machine and can't move. BONUS - the bed I was in and the curtain opening was a straight on view to the waiting room door. Your welcome to the little old man who came in from the waiting room. I only hope you had bad vision. They have no respect for your feelings or your privacy. I am not sure why someone didn't think to have a pregnancy test run at that time if one was required, because instead what happened was they forced me to urinate in a cup after forbidding me to drink anything for 13 hours on the day of surgery. After the surgery, I was allowed to sit in the recovery room a whole 10 minutes before being forced out of the bed and into a small dark back room with some uncomfortable chairs and a desk to wait for my ride to show up. No one ever checked on me, I just sat there choking on my own blood with it dripping on the floor from the sinus proceedure I had. Near the end a woman came in to check her email but she didn't ask how I was, she just demanded to know where my ride was. They were "nice" enough to give me a cup of ice that got bloody after 3 seconds (I was so miserably thirsty, I ate the blood) and a roll of tape and some gauze in case I felt like changing my own bandages. I was hurting too bad to change the bandages so mostly the blood just dripped on the floor and on my shirt. No one else was even in the room, it's not like they had to vacate a bed for someone else. They just already had their money and didn't want to deal with me. I will never go back and I would not allow anyone I cared about to go here, ever. I'd say I was treated like an animal, but I think animals get better attention at the vets office. read more

not a good place, you get treated like cattle, run like a third world facility. you walk barefoot, they give you no socks , no paper napkins in the restrooms, no kleenex. I had a colonoscopy where you have to fast for 24+ hours not a glass of water or a cracker. I was up and staggerring out within 10 minutes of waking up fro the anesthesia. i cannot believe that they get paid the same amount of money( from insurance companies ) as other facilities that provide superior care.Perhaps the fact that the place is owned and run by a 100% vietnamese staff could explain the poor quality of service, even though the nurses seemed to be nice, Perhaps the owner should go to orange coast or hoag to learn about how to take good care of patients.I will make sure i will nwver go back to this place and will also be telling my friends . read more

Very impressed with the office staff and the medical staff. In the office, they were efficient and thorough with the paperwork, and in the back prep area, as well as the recovery area, the nurses and anesthesiologist were kind, happy, thorough, and prompt. I was prepped and taken in to the room for my procedure right on time and felt well cared for. The doctor did an excellent job as well. The facility was clean and the equipment up-to-date. I'm surprised that this place didn't get 5 Stars. I have a colonoscopy on Oct 6 in the morning and from start to finish, I was amazed. Even my husband's colonoscopy at another surgery center didn't go smoothly as this one, such as long waiting time, bad parking and etc. However, this place is fantastic, I was called in as soon as I finish filling out some paperwork. Before the procedure, they did explain everything to me in details and repeat it again after the procedure. The procedure was not painful and was done by a very skilled doctor. The staffs and nurses here are nice, professional and knowledgeable. After the procedure, I was given juices and they make me wait for 20 minutes to see if there were any discomforts due to the procedure and the anesthesia. The next day, I received a call from them to check on how I was doing and I think that's great patient care and follow up. Thanks Mile Square Surgery Center. read more
