I have lived at Miles Grant for six years now and have loved every minute of it. It is truly the best kept secret on the treasure coast. We have golf tennis pickle ball Bacchi croquet shuffle board pool room kayaking and swimming pools. The club and tavern restaurants are some of the best value on the treasure coast. And great food. We are across the intercoastal from the most fabulous state park with 8 miles of undisturbed beach for us to play on. Take the time to check it out!

When joining a club it is the characteristic that is difficult to measure but is most important. And when we joined 8 years ago we didn't know a soul. And now we are part of a caring community with people who are some of our best friends for life. The facility is a five star resort every day. Incredible golf on the ocean. Many dining locations and menus from gourmet to the best burger in Stuart if not florida. A friendly marina for small boats to mega yachts. Tennis and the spa and my favorite the beach. Miles of blue ocean on well maintained beach. We feel so lucky to be here and part of this community

She maintained excellent communication with us, was awesome at answering all of our questions and keeping us in the loop and made our wedding day go really smoothly. One particularly amazing thing she did was she took the large rocks out of our unity sand right before the ceremony because I had gotten the sand off a beach the day before and realized last-minute that I had forgotten to get the rocks out. On several occasions throughout the day, she said, "Don't worry about it; I'll take care of it." Also, the wedding party had our own personal waiter (for lack of a better word) named Dustin. He was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Even when we were downstairs waiting to come upstairs to be introduced as husband and wife, he brought us appetizers and drinks and was so nice. Oh, and the food. The AMAZING food. We chose prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, jumbo shrimp and Gorgonzola-stuffed endives for appetizers and a pasta station, beef medallion station and plenty of salad and fruit for the entrees. My palate was having a party. The venue itself is the most breathtakingly gorgeous location I have ever seen. We were so blessed to have our wedding there because we knew members of the community. Our guests said the food was the best they'd ever eaten and the venue was the most amazing wedding location they'd seen.

To be honest, I knew I didn't have much of a chance of winning the car contest, but I did my best. I always wash my car with Ice car wash and wax. I periodically have it waxed with Blackfire Midnight Sun, Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax. My friend, Eric is a wash and wax expert, so I pay him to wax it for me. He used to compete in car shows featuring Corvettes. He does a magnificent job of waxing my car for me. I have him do it every few months, but in between I get beautiful results with the Ice Wash and Wax. I have a black 2015 Mercedes E350. I love it. I realize my chances of winning the contest are slim, with the other competing impeccable cars that very rarely leave their garages. But I have a great time going and competing anyway. The Mercedes Club has a wonderful banquet and raffles that are also great fun! I didn't win the contest, but a great time was had by all. Diane won a beautiful Mercedes bag in the raffle, so all was not lost. At least it didn't rain and ruin my beautiful shine.

After all the years of visiting Stuart and now living in Port St. Lucie, it never once clicked in…read moremy head to come here to play golf. The first time I ever played golf this way, was when Drive Shack opened in West Palm Beach, which was a huge hit. This place has the same concept but on a much smaller scale. Honestly, that's not a bad thing--sometimes simpler is better. It's not chaotic and there aren't a million people everywhere. It almost feels like a secret hangout that hasn't been discovered yet. They also have traditional golf if you prefer to play outdoors and walk the course or take a golf cart. But sitting in the shade on a comfortable couch with a nice fan cooling you down while your own waitress takes your drink and food order sounds a lot better to me. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, which was perfectly fine with me. Prices seemed pretty typical for places like this--about $40 an hour. I also saw an advertisement for a weekday special: Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 2 PM, you can play all you want for $20. That's a great deal for anyone who doesn't work a traditional 9-to-5 job. I'm not sure if that's going to still be advertised in the summer when kids are out of school, but either way it's a pretty affordable way to kill a few hours. Our waitress was such a peach--super attentive with an amazing, fun attitude. She had such a great personality and really made the experience even better. The only downside is that they don't have liquor, so I'm guessing they don't have a full liquor license ? They do have beer and seltzers, and interestingly they offer sangria and mimosas. My guess is that they're wine-based without any added liquor. They do have a pretty decent food menu with plenty of options. You have a variety of flatbreads sandwiches, salads, and your typical bar food options. Overall, this place was a lot of fun. I took my nephew and we played a bunch of the games they have on the flatscreens. We were on the first floor, and when I asked about sitting on the second floor she mentioned they only open it when they have more servers and it gets busier. I would definitely recommend coming here--but maybe don't tell too many people, because this hidden gem might turn into a total zoo one day. There really isn't anything else like it around here, and I'm glad I finally checked it out.

I am a homeowner in Willoughby Golf Club. Willoughby is a retirement community and I would not…read morerecommend Willoughby for anyone who works full time. Despite what Willoughby advertises, the owners are not friendly to newcomers who do not have time during the day to participate in all of the "cruise ship" activities typical to retirees. In addition, "evening" events, such as Trivia Night, invariably begin well before we arrive home at the end of a working day. The kitchen also closes so early that we often are unable to use the Club dining room. More importantly for me and my husband, who still work full-time, Willoughby, institutionally, actively discriminates against people who work. All HOA & open Board Meetings are held during working hours. With rare exception for a weekend event, all events and activities are held during working hours. The Board, moreover, is regrettably highhanded in arbitrary rule-making. Apparently as an overreaction to a complaining owner, the Board voted on a Friday morning to institute a new community rule, effective the following day, forbidding any kind of workers to come into Willoughby on Saturdays. This includes handymen, painters, inside workers, etc. Members of the community had no notice that this rule might be proposed and no opportunity to be heard. We also do not believe that this was a separate item on the agenda of the Board meeting. This dictatorial-like behavior resulted in workers being turned away at the gate and the homeowner incurring a fee by the vendor for his time, in some cases. To properly maintain and improve your home/property a working person must now take a day off whenever they need to have any work done on their home. In addition, assessments are repeatedly levied the same way -- with no vote by the homeowners.
