The children don't just run around all day not learning anything. Each class has a curriculum that caters to the development milestones of that age. They provide meals, which I like, and also do potty training. Another bonus is every quarter, they have parent-teacher conferences, which allows you to learn what your child is doing and where he/she can improve. Now, every childcare center is not perfect and I know that searching for childcare for a child is hard (and sometimes frustrating)...but I think you will like Kindercare. It's worth the cost. My son has great social skills, a strong vocabulary, and is learning to read/write. I love Kindercare!

I loved my nanny but I wanted my kids to have the social skills and interaction daily with other children before they started kindergarten. I checked out many daycare facilities in the area and also near my employment and by far this was the best. This was one of the hardest decision in my life to leave my child in care of someone I did not know for years. I was a nervous wreck, my husband kept telling me let him go he will be fine and I just wanted to scratch his eyes out, if you know what I mean. I will never forget just enrolling him there I cried, then Ms. Helen comforted me and said he will be fine. She truly gave me a sense of calmness and still does at this crucial stage in their lives. I hung around with the teachers the first few days and he cried but the teachers where very understanding with me and my son. Well it's been a over four years and my kids love it. They are in the before and aftercare programs now. Throughout the years, they have very much enjoyed it there and so have I. They have gone on field trips and love riding the bus. They do a lot of extra activities during the holidays and all year long. They were in choir, have Halloween parades, Easter Egg hunts, book fairs, Christmas plays you name it. The children transition from different classrooms as they get older just like a school setting so everyone knows you and your kids. I loved this because I got to know all of them as well. The classrooms are designed by their age level and the teachers use a learning curriculum as they advance. The teachers are ALL excellent Natalie, Keisha, Martha, Andrea, Nicolas, Lillian, Ebonique, Nikki just to name a few are great. I have never had one bad experience with a staff member, this speaks loudly of how well Rachael the director runs her school. Many have formal education in child care studies and a variety of educational backgrounds. I have gotten to know them throughout the years. This speaks loudly of the staff they employ. This is a Christian based school setting which teaches God's words, I was brought up with Christian beliefs and very much enjoyed learning that their teachings have the same values as mine. My children have learned so much their and this was an excellent choice to begin their formal education. I highly recommend this daycare if you are contemplating putting your child in a daycare environment.

Since the Laurel location is off Highway 200, it was a good fit for me (to commute) and for her (being new to daycare life). I have been happy with the sense of community Laurel brings. My daughter's teachers from the toddler's room still help and assist her as she transitioned from the toddler's room to the 2A and 2B rooms. The staff is highly supportive and positive and everyone pitches in to help when she is having temper tantrums or experiencing bad days.

I think the school is beautiful and does a great job with marketing. However, I noticed that my son did not learn much. They told me that they use the Univ. of Maryland bilingual curriculum. My son did not learn basic numbers or alphabets in spanish,or much else. The center is also located in a professional building. My son had some behavioral challenges his second year there. He was fine the first year. I believe the owner was more focused on the noise level and the "image" of the school. I removed my son and placed him in a small bilingual center. He learned spanish numbers, colors and alphabet within about two months. His current teacher does not have any issues with his behavior and he loves school. Arco staff was friendly and professional, however I am not confident that they are up for the challenges of bilingual education of young children.

They have an app called Tadpole, but yet the information entered is never correct. They are short-staffed every day and yet most teachers still leave at 4, so unless you can get out of work early to connect and discuss... you simply have no idea what is going on. Kids are constantly placed in rockers and chairs and are left there most of the day. The legal ratio of 3 kids to 1 teacher is rarely followed, in fact, I have seen as many as 10 kids to 2 teachers more times than I can count... We gave them sleep sacks for him to nap in each day, yet they just sat in his cubby. On more than one occasion he was left to sleep in a rocker as he was placed in a room that had no open cribs due to staff shortages... it's just not a good place to leave an infant. We started in January 2024 and there is not a single kid left in the class who was there when we started. To a child, they have all left and gone to other daycares... and now we are too. I wouldn't send my kid here if I were you. We are now 54 days past our last day and have still yet to receive our deposit back from the school. They claim its been mailed, but their by-laws state repayment will be made within 30-45 days and we are well past that... its a joke. Just find a different day care, this place is awful from the top to the bottom.
